Monk goes Camping...I can't imagine Monk going on a camping. I'm curious how many suitcases he's going to take unsure.gif

Oh, but Raven, if they come to my house and use my camper, he doesn't have to get anywhere near Nature. I have a self-contained camper---which means there's a separate living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. It has all the kitchen appliances, and a shower, and a fireplace, and surround-sound stereo, a queen-sized bed, and two extra beds for Randy and The Captain. Wow Meme, that sounds so nice! I think that's made to order for our dear Adrian. He could be in Nature, but...not really. Almost as good as a glass bubble!

But really, to make him happy you'd better let him have a hand in some of the cleaning, I mean, what would make him happier than that? LOL. He'd be happy to clean what you just cleaned so he can get the lines straight and to his liking and all.

If you're hiring security, please consider me! I swear to not let anyone without the proper ID (idea?) get to any of the gang!
(Now where can I get an ID? Or maybe special privileges come with the Security badge? I can only hope!)

We start with Monk at a hearing for his reinstatement. Two of the panel members seem rather sympathetic except for the third; Captain Reisig. He doesn't feel Monk is ready or fit...

Later, an armoured car gets robbed and a guard killed, Monk and Nat are there...

Randy is with the Buddies in Blue programme. Camping with a group of boys in the woods, Spider Lake...

Captain Reisig's kid, Kyle, very bratty kid, is also there. To Reisig's surprise, Monk is also there. He's an 'instructor'. And Monk is all 'smiles'...

Poor Monk in the woods with three boys and Disher, tries to smile and be cool, and put up with Kyle's insults and brattiness, offering Kyle gum, denture gum, 'grown up gum' poor Monk ...

Meanwhile, Stottlemeyer is still investigating. They found Luke Migas's print near the scene... The talk to his mother, her boys, Luke and Del, ex-cons...

She calls them to clean up all their mess and get rid of any evidence, that includes going to a cabin in the woods (Spider Lake) to retrieve shell casings...

Thank you for the spoiler! This sounds like a GREAT episode!! Monk is definitely going out on top like they wanted to with terrific sounding episodes like this!! I can't believe it IS almost July!

A reinstatement Hearing and Camping sounds surface wise like a potential juxtaposition of hilarious opposites or, are they signs that changes are taking place on his road to recovery???

Yes - Spider Lake is the lake with all the frogs croaking where the "accidental" death occured. Good eye, there NeoMegaRyuMkll!

...yes,that is strange, now the Pictures are from the Happy Birthday Episode but the last Time I was clicking on that Link the Pictures were fom the Camping Epi....strange... huh.gif

Yes it is indeed strange. When I posted this link there were only photos from camping episode...maybe I'll be able to find them somewhere

I won't be able to watch this episode until Sunday at the earliest but most likely Monday at 1:00 am mad.gif

I'm curious to see the following:

1. Any follow-up with Randy/Sharona?
2. Will they make Randy a capable scout leader?
3. How Monk, Randy, and the boys take down the bad guys.
4. I think the wedding episode is next so I wonder if we will see anything regarding that and if it will tie into
why Natalie is the maid of honor.

I have to record Friday's episode to HDD if I'm going to miss it since Verizon FiOS for whatever reason won't make the Friday episode available till after the Tuesday 1:00AM airing. Grrr...

That is an incredibly fake looking fish. I always wonder how they manage to make things that look so obviously fake in the still shots and promotional photos looks so much more realistic in the show.

Loved the episode i loved the scene where Randy was talking about the chose of being happy ( : i also loved it when Monk screamed! i wonder if that was actually Tony! lol i wish Natalie was more in it!

Hahahaha! You be psychic! And that was actually one of my favorite scenes. I love the "thanks to modern medicine" bit. LOL. And that poor bipolar kid.

I have mixed feelings about this episode. I loved Randy taking charge and being so freakin' awesome. And I think Alex Wolff gave a surprisingly good performance. But that part with the bear just came across as soooooo unbelievable that it really made the episode less enjoyable for me.

And what about that ending???? I don't even know what to say.

BTW...what is next week's episode? I totally couldn't tell from that preview.

Nope, I'm totally med-free and that made absolutely no sense to me. I guess old Frank Willis will try to pull some weight on Monk's behalf and get them to change their decision...?

Personally, I loved the episode tonight! The girly scream was a bit forced, but I thought it was funny. I LOVED all of Natalie's little sticky notes for him at the beginning, and I liked the way Monk was able to bond with the boy and make a difference in his life...maybe that's the teacher in me talking, but I always enjoy stories about that! Randy's ghost story scene was funny, too, and I thought the scene about "choosing to be happy" was really nice and helped to develop his character a lot more. Loved the telling of the "here's what happened" to the bear. The only thing that surprised me was at the end, how suddenly the other two turned...in the beginning, they seemed bent in his favor...that part of it felt a bit forced to me just so they could keep his badge away from him for a little while longer. Other than that, though, I thought it was another terrific, enjoyable episode! smile.gif

I can't decide whether to be baffled or upset about the last two minutes . . . I think it would have been funny to see Monk react that way TOWARDS the end of the episode and then later have a scene after it's been explained to him that he wasn't reinstated, but just cutting to credits *while* poor Adrian is completely oblivious as to what happened seems almost cold. . . Maybe there was originally going to be another few minutes after another commercial that show how he is feeling once the gang has presumably told him the real outcome of the hearing and it wound up being cut out?

I liked the episode. I thought the part where Monk kept interrupting Randy's story was funny. I guess the end was kind of a let down especially since those two were for him in the beginning.
