FYI, The Reelblog has a link to a promo and a clip from Faithfully. It looks like it might be marginally better than the first two, but if Antoinette Stella is writing it, then I seriously doubt it. It's definitely the first one meant to be aired, but I don't really give a damn, they've obviously not giving two shits about the order they are supposed to be aired in, and I say we just give in to their passive-agressive b.s. and stop watching so they can cancel CI and--Arrrgh! I know the new episodes of CI aren't as good as they could be and it's slowly killing me. What the hell are we fans supposed to do now? Give it up and dwell on the past episodes? Watch as they dumb down Eames and make Goren a space-case savant?

You know, it really does not matter to me whether they mixed up the correct line-up episodes or not. The most important is… Vincent is still in that show. They air different stories, not continuously. Does it really matter to you… and not your support for your beloved Vincent? You should be grateful that he still exists in that show.

I am sorry you can’t stand of the stories the writers have came up with, but as long as I see Vincent D’Onofrio on loci, I am happy!
I agree, DragonE. While I don't know why USA decided to run the shows in a different order than they were written/filmed, but it doesn't really bother me. The stories stand alone, so it is not a hinderance to trying to figure things out along with the detectives (which I love to do). My guess is that USA wanted to lead with a strong episode as the first show of the season, and I thought they did. "Playing Dead" was an attention grabber with strong subject matter and excellent guest stars, I thought.
I am lookng forwad to seeing "Faithfully" to pick up the little tidbits about Goren's recovery from "Frame". I think they'll be just that, though. Small little comments that let us know all is OK without continuing to dwell on the past. Plus, we have great fanfiction writers on the boards who can fill in all the backstory.
As far as Eames being "dumbed down", I think that in the two episodes they've shown so far, as well as over the course of the previous 7 seasons, she has increasingly had more of a presence. Also, I think Goren displays less of those quirky genius traits than in the beginning. They've both evolved and matured with age and experience (who doesn't over 8 years?).
So I'll watch the Nichols and Wheeler episode tonight because I'm in it for the long hall with LOCI. The premise of the show, the "intent", has always made it one of my favorites. Alas, I'll be counting the days for this next Goren and Eames episode, as they will always be the "A" team for me.
