i feel so sorry for jules right now!

It's not such a shock that Jules will suffer, considering her reaction in "6 feet under the sea" when the other girl asked about possibly dating Shawn.

I'm still gonna feel horrible for her though!

Well I hope Jules does what the folks do in DC - "Get your man, get your man, get your man DC!!!"

It will be great for her personally though to display more of her talent on the show!

For all you "Shules" shippers that are worried about the poor girl after reading that interview mentioning Juliet "hanging on by a thread" in season 4...

I've given this some thought and I'll post my .02 here. Lawson said in that interview that they're going to have some more emotional moments this season, maybe a few tears will be shed, but that "It will still be Psych with plenty of crazy antics from Shawn & Gus". Well, I know you're worried about Juliet getting her feelings hurt and suffering through it all, but I'm taking a different view. I think it's going to allow us to see some great character development all around.

One person's emotions effect those of the people around them. I'll bet money that this paves the way to expand her character by leaps & bounds, as well as providing a golden opportunity for Lassiter and Chief Vick development. Can you imagine how damn funny (and potentially touching) it would be if Juliet asked Lassie for advice about dealing with guys? And don't forget Henry! Maybe she'll have some quality moments interacting with him while seeking advice about Shawn. Remember, it was mentioned that Henry pokes his nose into Shawn's love life. I have the strong feeling his part of that conversation would contain the phrase, "Shawn is an idiot" at some point.

So don't worry my fellow Psych-Os, I have the feeling that season 4 will be a joy to watch.

Oh I totally agree! It's a perfect way to engage in some real character development, definitely. I think it's just the emotional side of me that doesn't want to see her get hurt...but if she doesn't get hurt, then there's very little room for significant growth.


Lassiter and Henry offering her love advice regarding Shawn...lol...wow. And imagine if she somehow had that convo with BOTH Lassiter and Henry at the same time?! It would be a classic Psych scene for sure.

Yay! Yay! Yay! That interview seemed to answer more of the questions I had about the new season than the one with Mr. Roday. I don't think I'm as interested in plot points as much as character growth. How will they feel this season? I can imagine the eye-rolls that question would elicit if I submitted it to the psychwrites twitter!

I believe that while Juliet may have a rough time with some things this season, the writers won't allow her to wilt. Their lady characters are always well-rounded and strong (if not fierce).

Shawn and Gus try to find out the man responsible for the attempted murder of Detective Lassiter -- and it's a long long list of suspects, starting with everyone who ever met him...

[MR. SALAMATCHIA / HOODED MAN] A rugged looking man in his 40s to 60s, an ex-Marine, first seen as an assassin in a hooded sweatshirt, he is still grieving for his son, who died from an overdose of drugs supplied by an infamous local pusher, Petrovich. Outraged that Petrovich is back out on the streets after serving a relatively minor sentence, he's out to kill not only the drug dealer, but every inept clown who investigated the case: and that includes Lassiter, Shawn and Gus. I was thinking the same thing though about after Shawn is shot as the sides for episode 6 show a different Shawn who really couldn't be bothered he is pushed by Gus were as all Shawn wants to do is go to the beach instead of being on a case. Although I like Shawn milking it for what is worth.

P.S: I'm kind of thinking the opposite when it comes to Henry in this situation. I think now that Shawn is in his first committed relationship--if anything he's going to be pushing to make sure that they stay together & make it a point to harp on him not to make the same mistakes that he made.

Henry has only met Juliet twice, and barring Shawn suddenly becoming the openly sharing type--I really don't seem him diving into their history now that he's with someone else.

One the shules note, the level of awkwardness between them is just going to drive me insane. In the slides I noticed more Gus/Jules conversation when talking about the cases--where normally she's obvii always talking to Shawn. I like that Gus will sort of serve as buffer for them, it'll def. be hard to jump into working together.

If anyone would talk to Juliet it would be Gus, I think. Only because he's seen what's been going on. That little "I saw that" smile at the end of Any Given Friday was epic.=) So even though I doubt it would be anything huge, since above all else he's Shawn's best friend, they'll hopefully be a subtle comment that'll put her at ease.

Lassie, I can only see so far as just making an "What the hell is up with you two? --You know what? Nevermind. I don't want to know." like comment when he notices any weirdness, making Shawn & Jules look all uncomfortable.

Gun wielding Shawn will most likely be in the Western episode


With the talk about Shawn and Juliet being awkward this season in the exorcism episode Shawn calls Jule's O'Hara in the sides and not Jules that is not right but Shawn is shotgun when they are going to save Lassie in the latest sides. I can't wait to to the TV interview and the $50 bet for the most screen time.

Oh, dude--don't even get me started on the nickname thing! I already freaked over that over on Psychfic. I am SO glad that it was crossed off in the script...because it would have been such a dumbass thing to do.

The comment was " A little cold there, O'Hara?" --After Jules shivers.

One? It sounds flirty. And he's lost all right to be flirty with her. In the Maggie interview she was saying how the only way he knows how to communicate with her is through flirting, so right now they're at a loss at how to even talk to each other. Understandably so. But accidental flirting? Still not cool after you turn a girl down. Plus the "striking snow bunny" comment from the premiere? Really?! GET IT TOGETHER, SHAWN.

Two? O'HARA? It's not even to say it's the cute "Detective O'Hara" he used in the finale...just O'Hara is purely Lassie/Karen to call her and WAY too informal for my liking. Above all else the nickname was born out of friendship, changing it now would set them back even more.

Awkward shules I can handle, Shawn just clearly being an idiot? Not so much.

He's gonna be one hot cowboy. *Ahem* LOL. I think the whole gun thing might be less than serious, although you never know. The writers may switch it up on us, but I am having trouble conjuring up a scene in my head that would call for Shawn to take serious action with a gun.

You're right that there's a difference between accurately shooting a revolver and a semi-automatic. It's mainly in the grip and the action of the gun. The smoother, thinner, more sculpted grip on your typical western-style revolver feels a lot different than the bulkier, textured grip on your typical semi-auto. Plus those "cowboy" revolvers are usually single-action only, which means you have to pull the hammer back in order to pull the trigger. If you're not well-practiced with that style of firearm then you'll be slower and less accurate because of your grip and potential awkward mechanical operation of the gun. Now that being said, trigger control is trigger control. If you're accurate with one type of firearm (rifle vs. pistol) you'll be able to shoot well with just about anything. You either can shoot or you can't.

Now whether or not the gun-toting Shawn moment will be in "High Noonish" or another episode, I don't know. It's entirely possible that it would happen in the western episode, but I can also easily imagine a moment where he gets to use a gun in any other episode. All it takes is for Shawn to be next to another officer (Lassiter, O'Hara, Buzz?) that gets incapicated and Shawn has to pick up their gun and pull an amazing shot to "save the day".

Oh yeah, season 4 is gonna rock!

This is the other scene that came to mind when they mentioned about Shawn with a gun. The fact that he can handle a gun it is surprising that he hasn't got a gun licenses and also the fact that he keeps walking straight into danger may be it's time to protect himself.

But more than anything when he uses it I want Jules to be there so she can be impressed

I say Shawn is a lover not a fighter. He'd rather talk his way out of a situation than fight his way out of it. He can definitely take care of himself if need be, but a gun would most definitely never be his first choice.

Right- Gus was in danger, and Shawn didn't see any other possible option. His friend was in trouble and there was nothing he could do about it. He was desperate.

Shawn also cares much more about those he loves than he does himself. Actually he has a very hard time dealing with anyone he cares about being in trouble, so he's more likely to turn to a gun in this situation.

Basically, when backed into a corner or not given another choice, absolutely he'll go to whatever means he has to go. But I still say a gun isn't his first choice. It'll be his last or his desperate choice.

...or he'll pick up a gun to taunt Lassie and beat him in a sharp-shooting competition

I think the boy can hold his own, but he's smart enough to pick the right battles.

Oh, and in Transformers 2 ... this is not a spoiler, I just cracked up at one of the lines one of the "interesting" robots said about another robot, "He Dead".
