Gah, I read that interview yesterday and didn't bother posting it because I didn't like the fashion it was presented.

I loved James' answers, or what we were given of his answers. I don't like that it was paraphrased.

The paraphrasing definitely bugged me. Would it have really been that much harder to just quote him? Isn't that what they make recorders for?

Yeah, seriously! Haha
It seems more difficult to paraphrase than to just quote!

::snicker:: Oh yeah... that definitely threw me for a loop when I started reading it... but I also find the observations interesting (like whether an answer was quick and immediate or really drawn out/no certain answer). Though there's ways to fit that in while still using quotes.

The writer's style is a bit odd over all "James (we're tight)" then "James Roday (we fell out)"... but I enjoy the information and it was nice to see an interview that didn't have the normal, everyday questions.

I'll admit, I am against Shules in general... but also because I really do feel that the moment a couple that has had continual UST during the full fun of a show gets together, the show often loses something (unless the fight/split up, etc). Even though I'm not big on Shules, I have liked how the writers have handled it to this point, with timing problems and miscues and other love interests and flirting that may or may not be serious. (Hence the second question for the writers on how they will continue to write that dynamic.)

While I understand that Shules fans may not want to see Shabigail, especially for the 'pain' it may cause Juliet... part of what keeps the show going is putting the characters through *real* emotion. Just like the necessity for an episode like Mr. Yang, where Shawn was different from the Shawn we're used to, not because he was out of character, but because of realistic emotion driving the character's action. Unfortunately for Shules fans, "happy ever after" rarely makes for good TV.

JMHO. I know it's not necessarily popular opinion around here, but it's there and it's mine.

I totally agree with you. And I know everyone is already saying this but im a huge Shules fan. I'm so excited for their relationship on the show (if there ever is one smile.gif ) but I think I can wait for now. Also you made a really good point anout how " happy ever after" doesn't always make for good tv.

Yes this was the talk of the boards over a month ago and instead of being worried about Shawn we are all yes bring it on. Andy Berman wrote this episode so you know it will be great. As you can see Shawn is also a hostage so this episode will invole all characters being worried about Shawn and even a chance that they may think that he is dead.

Yah, I'm very excited. I nearly punched the air when I read about it. Although I really really hope that Shawn still solves the crime.. I would love to see him challenged, and I think we'll see it with this episode (I hopes) smile.gif I wonder where they shoot him.. I heard someone suggest butt but any other speculations?

Now what exactly does that say about us, besides that fact that we like a little angst (especially when it involves Shawn)? We're excited about one of our beloved characters being shot! Hmm...

True, I'm angsty at heart, and when I heard it, butt was the first thought, but arm, grazed in head and shoulder also came to mind. Leg would not be bad either...maybe the big toe.

This sounds so twisted - sorry! I read Lee Child books and someone is always gettin' shot. biggrin.gif

its ok chica. ive thought a lot about it. hahah

idk why i like angst. maybe cuz when u have a bad day, u watch like...ER or something and everyone is unhappy, people are dying, etc so it makes you feel better cuz at least its not as bad as whats on tv. hahah.

i feel like its gonna be in the arm. imo, if it was the foot, butt, hand or something, he probably would still be able to escape. arm, shoulder, torso, leg, he's probably gonna fall from the impact of the bullet and that would be a good opportunity for the guys to subdue him and put him into the trunk.

grazed in the head would suck but would be good tv! hahah.

when i think about it, i think the arm or shoulder is where he's gonna get it.

I like the idea of it in the arm, but what will that mean for later episodes? If the bullet hits muscles his arm could out of commission for a while! Or would they just ignore it and move on in the next episode? More to ponder to myself until August...

Thanks, I don't feel so bad now. smile.gif It has to be in a place where it won't take forever to heal. smile.gif Knowing Andy, he has the perfect spot. Hmm...the perfect spot to get shot with minimal damage...the more I talk about this, the more I sound crazy! LOL! biggrin.gif

lassie was able to do his job with a broken collarbone so shawn can be in a sling for a bit. or maybe shawn will be forced to take off til it heals and the next episode will take place then or he'll be stuck doing an infidelity case or talking to a dead pet or something until its healed? hahha

Yeah, but Lassie can take it. He doesn't run away girly-screaming from things. smile.gif Though I love a good girly-scream from Shawn just as much as the next person! I can see Shawn being told by the chief that he can't help until his arm's healed, but then him worming his way onto a case anyway. I don't see him actually following that particular order without a fight first!
psychrulz
True, Shawn wouldn't mind working through an injury- he did it in Spelling Bee, after all.

I have to admit I'm also really looking forward to this episode, whatever the twisted reason may be, lol. I guess my only questions are, as everyone else- how seriously is he injured, and where?
ObsessedTvLvr
Yea I'm really excited for what will happen! This is probably the most anticipated episode for me. I can not wait until Psych starts!!

Psych - Casting News

Good news, Heroes fans! You won't have to wait until September to get another glimpse of Sendhil Ramamurthy's pretty face. All you have to do is hold out until August, because that's when Sendhil will be guesting on Psych.

Yes, sources confirm to us exclusively that Sendhil will be appearing on the USA Network detective comedy Psych in an episode titled "Bollyhood Homicide," which is tentatively slated to air the fourth week of the season.

But who does Sendhil play, and what surprising family tie made this possible?

As it turns out, Heroes star Sendhil Ramamurthy and Psych director Jay Chandrasekhar are cousins, and they are both appearing in "Bollywood Homicide."

Sendhil is set to play Raj, a young man who believes that the firstborn in each generation of his family is cursed—a belief reinforced by the fact that bad things keep happening to all of his girlfriends. Jay, meanwhile, plays Jay, Raj's cousin who is directing a Bollywood-style play at the local theater and engaged to be married. Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill) are on the case, of course, trying to determine who's actually cursed and/or who's going after Raj's girlfriends. The real Jay is directing the episode just as his fictional counterpart is directing the local theater's Bollywood project.

We're also hearing that the Psych theme may get a Bollywood-style remix just for this episode.

"Bollywood Homicide" doesn't have an exact airdate yet, but Aug. 28 seems likely. Psych returns to USA for season four on Friday, Aug. 7 at 10 p.m.

Any Psych fans in the house? Who loves Sendhil Ramamurthy? Make yourself heard in the comments!

******

And USA Admin, the Spoiler TV folks are helping those of us who can't wait for the next season hang on with these little tidbits! Namely ME! LOL!

biggrin.gif Just letting you know. Don't tell anyone! *wink*

Not twisted at all! Like everyone else, I've given the subject a lot of thought. While it would be funny if Shawn got shot in the butt, I don't think it will happen, because of something James said in an interview back in September 2007:

When the show runs out of crooked criminals, Roday said it would be fun to start impairing Shawn in ways that would make it more difficult for him to pull off his "psychic" tricks.

"If he's hurt or if he's stuck in a wheelchair and can't go anywhere, I think it would be cool if he solved an entire crime sitting in the same room for the entire episode," says Roday.

Poor Shawn wouldn't be able to sit in a wheelchair if he got shot 'South of el Paso.'

like others have said, i'm pretty confident that he will get shot in the arm or the leg. that would make is serious enough for the bad guys to subdue and kidnap him but not serious enough to eventually kill him. I also think that the shot might just graze him or not be too deep. He still has to feel good enough to continue saying his many jokes tongue.gif

the interview above is very interesting. maybe the kidnappers will keep him in a room and he solves the entire case from that room.

LOL well it would be funny. He would just need a doughnut. It could just be a graze! Hehehee!! I just picture Forest Gump with his injury, he got lots of ice cream so Shawn would get lots of creamsicles. smile.gif Or Mel Gibson's character on Bird On A Wire was fine after he was patched up. So via the psychwrites Twitter 'High Noon-ish' is episode five. Wasn't the 'Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark' episode suppose to air fifth? I wonder where they moved it to in the line ups.

You might ask Jason if "fifth episode" refers to airing order or filming order... (since they can and do shoot out of order... which is why, in the second season, we see a wet bar in "65 Millions Years Off" (2x02) before it gets built in "Psy vs Psy" (2x03))
tvspaz626
ya know how their finales are usually scary (scary sherry/shawn and gus of the dead) or dramatic (gus walks into a bank/mr.yang)?
maybe they bumped it back? i hope not cuz i wanna see it but maybe that would allow for a more serious injury! hmm...

and with the interview about being in a room, the writers probably said "we can do better than that" and now hes gonna solve the case in a trunk. hahah. its a bit smaller than a room

Well yeah, I know that. That's why we saw James' breath in Six Feet Under the Sea. That aired first in 3.5 and was filmed second to last in the season. That happens all the time with filming, it's all out of sequence. I think it's better that the episode where Shawn gets shot airs early in the season, though.

If Andy Berman wrote it then it will be the half-season finale. Didn't Berger misnumber when he tweeted about how great this episode would be? Saying it would be 7 then changing to 5.

I can't remember and we've been on the road.

From Spoiler TV - TV Guide folks answered this question: (I'm doing this quietly so the Psychwrites folks won't know Haha!)

Can we expect any bonding between Shawn and Henry in the new season of Psych? — Kelly

TIM: Yes. In fact, things get a bit too close as Henry tries to interject himself into Shawn's love life. Speaking of bonding, fans can also look forward to an episode featuring Heroes' Sendhil Ramamurthy and his real-life cousin, Jay Chandrasekhar, as, yup, cousins. Ramamurthy plays a man who believes he's cursed, while his cousin is directing a local theater's Bollywood project. Adding to the parallels, Chandrasekhar also directs the episode, airing in August.

This was interesting I like that the Shules subject is very Hush Hush at the moment even yesterday the only questions that the writers at twitter said that wouldn't be answered are those about Shules. I think that we will get Shules this season somewhere as there is still one major hicup after they get together that being Shawn having Jules find out he is not psychic which would be another delima for them.
Samfrench25
