I know everyone is focused on next week's ep (understandably ), but just noticed that in this Friday's Daemons TV newsletter they had the Psych ep as "You Can't Handle the Truth" (instead of Let's Get Hairy) and included a good number of promo pics (a few of which I know haven't been posted before)... so for those interested, here's the link:

We barely see half of first season in the begining of 2009, and they renamme it as : "detective in spite of him".
I think before we could see French version of "Shawn takes a shot in the dark" we will be in 2014...

The anticipation is killing me. And it's written by Berman, he always supplies the goods, especially when it comes to great Shawn and Juliet moments. I'm already antsy.

I knew the chief would be missing as she wasn't in either Bollywood and the devil in details they were the two film either side of this one I think with the flashbacks it may be like last seasons greatest adventure were we maybe see Shawn get shot and then go to earlier and go back and forth telling the story I maybe wrong but I just want Shawn shot early in the episode like many others

That's how I see it happening. Shawn will be shot in the beginning and the flashbacks are about how he got there. Then his rescue will be in real time. Atleast that's how I hope it goes!

It may be just me, but I don't think that's the kind of flashbacks they're talking about. I think they mean flashbacks to Young Shawn.

If he's relying on survival training learned from his dad, he could be flashing back to his youth each time a different situation comes up, and has to remember how to get through it

yes it hink ur right because in the spoiler i read it says that he has to realy on the skills his dad tought him as a kid and i think he does flashback to when he was a kid so he can survive

Thanks to tvspaz for the visual aids, and to all who've posted spoilers to help me try to put the bits together for 'Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark.'

Not that I've been giving this a lot of thought, but what follows is my best guess based on available information.

The episode starts at night, with Shawn being dumped in the trunk of a car after being shot. Then, Gus & Lassie & Jules arrive to find Shawn missing and a blood trail. I'm guessing flashbacks tell us how everyone ended up at where the story began. Shawn probably called Gus & Lassie & Jules to let them know he found the missing ice cream truck, and asked everyone to meet him wherever so that he could do his reveal. Turns out, the missing ice cream truck was being modified to double for an armored truck so the bad guy brothers can pull off a robbery. The older brother with the glasses finds Shawn before the good guys arrive, and accidentally shoots him. He panicks, and tosses Shawn into the trunk of his car and takes off.

[He’s a Special Forces veteran with sniper training, currently working as a mechanic, who’s been roped into his brother’s somewhat wild plan to rob a Brinks truck. Under his brother’s thumb both intellectually and psychologically, he’s recently fallen in love with a beautiful redhead, and thinks that a robbery might give him a chance at a fresh start in life with a beautiful woman. Not very good at thinking quickly under stress, he’s in the middle of executing his brother’s scheme to weld a false bottom onto the Brinks truck, when Shawn stumbles in on him — and he reacts badly, shooting Shawn and dumping him in the trunk of his car. Berated by his clever psychopath of a younger brother, who regards Shawn as excess baggage that needs to be killed and dumped, the Older Brother in fact has no interest in killing anyone ever again — an attitude that gets him killed.]

I'm trying to figure out why Shawn is seen running through the dark woods after he gets shot. Maybe he got himself out of the trunk before the brothers arrived at their second location? Shawn ran through the woods to escape and thought he found help when he entered the garage, not realizing that the the garage belongs to the brothers, and was where they were taking him. The psychopathic younger brother hits Shawn from behind, and down he goes. The older brother wants to help Shawn, and puts the funky bandage on his wound.

The crazy younger brother eventually orders his older brother to kill Shawn. When he refuses, brother shoots brother. With the police on the way thanks to Shawn's phone call to Jules (Shawn conned the nice brother into letting him make a phone call to his 'girlfriend.' allowing Shawn to give Jules clues to his location at the same time giving us a nice dose of Shules), crazy brother ties Shawn up in the back of a pickup truck and takes off. The good guys catch up, and the rescue takes place in real time.

wow omfg i did not think i could b more excited for this epsiode but now iam wow thank u so much for writing this now i am way more excited then ever wow once againt hnaks reading this now i have a better prespective of this epsiode it is all starting to make scnes with all of the pixs i was thinkign like u when he is runnign through the woods i was saying maybe the car stopped and Shawn managed to get out of the trunk and started running through the woods but then they catch him and bring him back to the grage but i really cant wait till the phone call i love shules like the rest of u guys!!! wow this epsiode is going to b so epic!!!!

For you? Anything. Friday's Psych finale is the episode where Shawn gets shot (and kidnapped and nearly murdered), which leads to a lot of great personal storyline stuff! Henry takes a lead role in the investigation, much to Lassie's dismay, and Shawn's perilous situation makes Juliet realize that she might have more serious feelings for him than she realized. She even grills Gus about the status of Shawn's relationship with Abigail. Be sure to tune in to the Psych season finale, Friday at 10 p.m. on USA to see it all for yourself.

A good and oft-asked question. Let's turn this one over to series creator Steve Franks: "Shawn is in the process of becoming worthy of the wonderful Juliet. I'm really hoping he makes it there in time. But it looks like it could take a while."

Pretty much the per usual response theses days when it comes to the Shawn and Juliet dynamic of the show, but I decided to post it anyway.

oh my lassie. that is so cuteee. yes goshdamnit juliet is wonderful! it could take awhile? as in..... 7 episodes?



i love it too. i'm rooting for shawn to make it also. i think juliet is too.

In my opinion, if Shules happened sooner, it would not take anything away from the show because the main focus is on Shawn and Gus. I would just LOOOOOVE to see some affection exchanged between Shawn and Juliet: a touch of the hand, stolen kisses, winks, romantic banter, etc. They don't really have a lot of screen time together anyways, so when they do, it would be great to see the love!

Oh they'll make it, you can believe that, it's just going to take a while, which is what makes it so much fun!!

OOOH YEAH!! I can't wait, and you are right it doesn't have to take anything away from the show, they just have to find the right way to go about it.

Here's how i would do it:

I would have them hook up at the end of this season, and then decide to keep their relationship a secret from everyone including Gus. They could have so much fun with this, for example, steeling kisses/moments at work, heaps of sexual tension, stealing glances at eachother, hooking up when ever they have a free moment, Gus and Lassiter starting to suspect something, them trying to hide their feelings for eachother at work, especially when one of them is in danger, i could go on and on.

It could be so much fun, would be a great dynamic for Maggie and James to play, and we would get the best of both worlds, they would be couple but they wouldn't be a couple if you know what i mean.

Having said all this i don't realy mind waiting, i am just looking forward to it when it finally does happen, beacause you know that the writers at Psych are going to do it in a realy cool way, especially after making us wait for so long.

ok so, I was reading through this entire thread (cuz I have no life) and on page 4 the first thing about Shawn getting shot was there. (acubound05 posted it on May 5th) We have freaking known about this since May!!! How in the hell did we make it this far?!?!?! Also I found it amusing that sarcasmlove thought he was just going to get grazed...clearly now we know that's not the case ..I just found all that kinda funny
