Hehe, yeah, they're like the "cool clique" in high school - everyone wants to be them. Which, I'm sure represents absolutely no irony whatsoever in what their real high school experiences were like (let's face it, who else totally thinks Berman or Berger were captains of the chess team or journal club?! ... not that there's anything wrong with that. haha yeah. Actually after I had first heard about Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark I had a dream that they put a video of it up so I pretty much made up an entire scene in my head and then woke up and got pissed it wasn't real...lol

I do exactly the same thing, in every series I watch!! But I´ve made up more stories about Shawn takes a shot in the dark then I´ve ever done with an other series. I´m just so excited about the episode, it´s hard not to xD and I agree with what many others have said: When I don´t think I can get more excited about the episode than I already am, I found out more and gets more excited anyway xD

and I hate that they had to rearrange the episode order, why couldn´t they just have kept it as it was, then we wouldn´t have to wait so long to see the episode. It´s just wierd that they show the episodes that was supposed to be after he got shot, before he actually gets shot. It dosen´t make any sense to me!!!

I also tend to pretty much imagine the episode in my head. Usually, when I get really bored at school (which is usually every day), I just ignore everyone and retreat into my imaginings XD. It keeps me from exploding from the curiosity and excitement.

Hmmm...I wonder if they changed the order to make a "slow build" to the Shot eppy. I'm glad it didn't come on when Fi on BN and Mary on IPS got shot...then it would look like everyone on USA was getting shot.

I don't know. I just look forward to the eppy. And I look forward to JimmyJam and Dulé Sugar Hill Gang's work outside of Psych. (in between seasons that is....I want to make that clear!)

poor mary. first she was kidnapped and almost raped and then killed the guy. then shortly after she's shot! she needs to stop having season finales so they will stop doing terrible things to her! hahah.

i just thought of ONE thing that will make me feel better about the waiting for the finale:

there will be no cliffhanger.

cuz if it was supposed to be episode 3, its a standalone episode and we shouldnt be freaking out all break until january!
i mean, psych never does cliffhangers ANYWAY but usually when someone gets shot they do. (ie: IPS, SVU, CSIs, etc)

so as much as i wish we could just skip the next month in a half, at least we know at the end of the finale, that shawn is safe and he'll be ok by the next episode cuz well, the next episode was supposed to be "devil in the details" hahaha

Exec producer Kelly K. said in a recent interview that's how it's gonna be for a while - when 1 is free, the other is taken & such. Hopefully it's not until the series finale like she stated (at comic con?), but we're in for a bumpy ride. I agree with you, tho. Jules is supposed to get back in touch with an ex-boyfriend this season, but hopefully it's not a multi-episode thing. ;-)

Yeah I saw that interview as well! Do you really think writers as talented as the Psych people would cop out of the trouble of actually having to *write* a relationship and go for a Last Minute Hookup? Hopefully they won't artificially throw things between Shules just for the sake of throwing things in between so they don't have to change the status quo. But nonetheless, I think that if there is one team of writers who can set the precedent for a flawlessly executed UST-resolution and thus write shipping history, it's the Psych writers!

Also, I have one more theory on the 'phone call' bit from the Maggie Lawson interview, and I figured I'd post it here because it does allude to a spoiler, after all.
What if Shawn convinces his kidnappers he wants to call his girlfriend, (Maggie Lawson said he's trying to convince his captors that she, the one he is calling, is someone she is not) and he can't tell her that he is being held captive so he tells her he loves her or whatever. And Jules gets all happy about that because she doesn't know he is being held captive, she only knows he's kidnapped (Lawson "And I don't really know what state Shawn is in at that point". Perhaps pertaining to whether he means it or not?). And of course, the Shawn/Jules people among us will know he really means it, but sadly the context is different, so he ends on a 'bye Abigail', or something, which would be the 'very emotional moment' for Jules. Of course it could be exact other way around, i.e. he starts as if he's talking to Abigail, but ends on an 'I love you, Jules'. Which would of course be equally emotional for Juliet.

Sorry if that seemed ranty, but I'm trying to incorporate both the emotional content for Jules, and the 'twist ending' of the phone call, into my theory.
What's funny is, I can think about every little spoiler until the cows come home, but at the end of the day, all I can do is wait, like all of you Psych-O's

Well... honestly, some of us would hate that for that to be the ending to the show for the opposite reason.

But I don't think they'll never do Shules before that... I think they're not gonna do Shules really this season (from what they've said, at least not beyond teasers of Shules, like Shot in the Dark type stuff).

I think, much to my dismay, there will be Shules season 5 or 6... actually getting together, relationship Shules stuff. However, I don't think everything's gonna be happy ever after once that happens. For many reasons, but my top two being 1) co-workers shouldn't date because things at work get messy and 2) Shawn isn't psychic but Jules believes he is (and he has led her on to believe this for *years*). Those two things don't exactly lead to happy ever after type ending without HUGE roadblocks and bumps and maybe even break-up-age along the way.

But, yeah, for the time being for this season especially... expect the dance of other relationships to continue.

Those are the reasons I'm a Shabagail person. And honestly, as long as they're on for 7 to 8 seasons, I'll be a happy BlackTsChica.

You're very probably right about Shawn and Juliet not getting together this season, and it'd be too soon if they did. I think Jules might get back together with her old boyfriend in 'A Very Juliet Epidosde', and then we can enjoy jealous Shawn for five episodes before the season finale and the status quo is restored. Or something

As for reason number two, I'm actually looking forward to how that is going to pan out.

I just want to say I am so with all of you who wish that Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark was still episode 5.. or even episode 3, just because I can't wait for it and it's almost all I can think about (G.osh I know, that is bad)... but then again, I think it makes more sense because from the promotional pictures, he's been shot in the left shoulder (on the same side as his heart), which is a fairly serious injury... it'd seriously take a minimum of 6 weeks before his arm were out of a sling.. so he needs time to recover.

I mean, if he were back the very next episode as though nothing happened, you'd be wondering about how much time had passed. Anyone with me on this?

yeah, I´m with u, on everything u said!! It´s all i can think about and I really wish that it still was the 5th episode, I can´t wait any longer. And yeah it´s weird, he gets shot in his left shoulder and then a week later everything is just back to normal as if nothing happened. And he doesn´t just get shot, he jumpes on a car in the same eppy and landes on his gunshot wound, I mean that´s gotta hurt. And then in the next episode everything is just back to normal.

It sucks for the non-shules fans because even though Shawn and Jules aren't together, everyone knows they're gonna get togther. Which makes me very happy because I'm a HUGE Shules fan. But I think they will probably get together in probably like the next season or 6. Which makes me very estatic! Because we all know they're like crazy about each other. I agree. I'm kinda torn with the whole Shules thing. Cause I want them to get together now but I kinda want them to wait cause if the main people get together too quickly it kinda can lose some of the magic and then they gotta do the Ross/Rachel thing and keep breaking them up and then its just like "will you keep them together already?!" So I'm torn!

I think that's exactly the sentiment of the writers and producers, and quite frankly, it's the right thing to do for at least a season or so. It's like mariam says; Shawn/Juliet is so obviously the Official Couple, that there is not really any doubt that eventually the UST will get resolved properly. It's the waiting, and knowing that it's right to wait for now, that kills me

As far as the whole shules thing goes, id just like to add...

i hope they dont push and pull the whole shules thing for too much longer (ex 3 more seasons) without letting at least something happen. at this point it still seems fresh and theres like tension from recent situations, but im sorry i dont care whether you are a shules or shabigail shipper, but its blatantly obvious that james and maggie have chemistry that translates on to screen. if you keep pulling shawn and juliet farther and farther apart and making it harder for them to be together, then thats just trying to cover up what's really there and making it seem too forced. and sometimes, when i watch certain scenes of psych (jules admitting shes with cameron, shawn being on a date with abby, etc) it almost makes me go REALLY? come on now!! like what are the odds that they are NEVER going to both be available at the same time.... and that just makes me frustrated.
this is going to sound silly but my dad used to tell me "those who try to be rebels only succeed in conforming to the rebel society"
so its like... if they try toooo hard to make shawn and juliets relationship different and not your typical love story... than the only thing they'll end up doing is making it your typical love story....ex: will they/won't they.
