I'm on the run right now - getting ready to head out for my massage, thank goodness (as I've done something screwy to my neck and right shoulder...uh, perhaps it's a mousetrack/laptop injury sustained in the "Male Alpha Madness" event? I'm thinking that oughta go under the YKYAAW thread, ha ha.

So would people like to do this kind of like the cliff notes thread? I was thinking that maybe those who would be willing to participate in this undertaking could take X number of pages on the thread at a time and just peruse the topics and then maybe post the links over here...then we could sort of get them into some chronological order and perhaps by cast/crew member. Maybe each of the initial posters could take a particular category/person and post the links there. Or we can post them all under Frenchy's initial post or mine (whichever you prefer, Frenchy - I'm willing to keep the thread updated is all I mean by this).

Just a few things I wanted to pitch out there for consideration. Let me know what you all think! I'll try to drop by here again this evening...

Um - I hadn't really given it much thought, either, Frenchy. I just came up with that on the fly and in the moment! I'm not saying we have to do it that way or anything...I was just sort of thinking aloud.

Gia has sent me some stuff behind the scenes and I just wanted to get her thoughts on a thing or two first, but I'm pretty sure by tomorrow we can get the ball rolling on this project. It would be great to have it all set up before season 3 begins! I wonder if we should work to have it pinned once we've gotten it all put together?

We are busy little (Burn) Bees in the between season times; terrific idea. I too like the chronological idea, but I'm sure things will work out no matter how it gets done.

I'm not sure where to look for those old post, I'm more a read and forget kinda guy most of the time. I try to remember the high points, but forget where I read most of them

I know there have been a number of TV Guild related posts and the Miami thread(s) have had much discussion of the cast and crew, too.

I am not fond of the search engin on this forum, but hopefully it will help if you give it enought specific information to hunt for.

Hi all. I think that this is a great idea for a thread. I have already enjoyed the links offered so far. Can't wait to see what all shows up.

There is another movie that GA did quite a while ago with Craig Shaffer, Don Johnson. Great movie, however, if you are a horse lover the first part of the movie will peeve you off. The title is "In Pursuit of Honor". It tells the story of the calvery when it became mechenized and what Gen. MacArthur did. Give it a spin.

I'm working on this behind the scenes, to get the links into chronological order.

Gia and I were discussing the possibility of including the link to the actual interview, along with the link to the actual thread in which it was posted (in the event that people would like to read/post in a given topic). What does everyone think about this idea?

First of all - thank you to Gia for sending me some links and getting the ball rolling on this.

I've culled a number of interviews thus far, but they are in the order in which the threads were last updated (which is why some may appear to be missing). As I back up through the pages on the forum, I'll pull more of them up. I have to say, now that I am looking at these in chronological order I think we should keep this original thread and in the first or second post include links for threads (which will be created when we're ready to do this) for JD, GA, BC, SG, and Matt Nix and a thread for others on the BN crew.

I also want to get everyone's opinion on a couple of matters:

1. What to do about broken links/interviews that have been moved or are no longer available. I have most of these interviews downloaded on my hard drive I think, and I should be able to pull them back up and put them in "quotes" in the event that the information needs to come down off the site. But I wanted to get everyone's opinion on this first, to see what they feel comfortable with doing.

2. there are things that are non-BN related that I'm pretty sure members would like to see included in this thread. For instance, JD was at the Pebble Beach golf tournament this past winter. JennaV attended this event and took some fabulous photos of him. It's not a BN-related press item, but Im guessing people would like to read about it. It's the same with Changeling, Don't Dress for Dinner, My Name is Bruce, and so on and so forth. Any thoughts on how to organize this?

3. Speaking of Don't Dress for Dinner and My Name is Bruce - there are reviews of the play and the movie folded into the respective threads. Do people want to provide simply a link to the main thread and have people read through it to find reviews? Or would they like the reviews pulled out of those threads and listed individually?

Or at least the parts of the interviews that seem to be most relevant in terms of the show. As to the "Changeling", "Don't Dress For Dinner" and "My Name Is Bruce" interviews, perhaps just a link to those threads since so much has been discussed and posted about them already. I have a feeling with the new season and the incredible ratings of the finale there's going to be a lot more press interest this year so there will probably be tons of new stuff coming out in the next few months and I wouldn't want all that new great press to get lost, you know?

Okay, so my "Great Internet outage of 2009" appears to have finally come to an end. Yay! I've had SO many internet connection issues recently, including a complete outage last week - and then on Friday everything came to a screeching halt. I've had no internet access since then and had to have someone from my ISP come out and resolve the issues. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I've fallen a bit behind in my personal correspondence (and of course with everything on the public side of the forum as well) - I'll try to get caught up slowly but surely over the next few days. I need to get some things done around here (have been doing this internet connection stuff with the tech guy all morning) but will be back in a bit. I've missed you guys and hope all is well with everyone.

Going way back to your earlier post about organizing the press thread, I agree with FiRocks & if you could post the articles that have broken links, that would be great. Once the links are broken, we don't have them anymore, so it'd be good to have them for prosperity's sake. Articles that are already posted in their own thread can just have a link to them (if the article is posted there). Also, I think it would be good to include Non-BN links (to the My Name is Bruce, Don't Dress for Dinner, etc) -- maybe you can just make a section called Non-BN Press on it's own (or under the person's name) and put the links there. I think it's okay to just leave play/movie reviews, etc. within their original threads & just post the links.

thanks for posting all the links. Hadn't yet caught up with "everything". Wow, Jeff really likes hitting the party scene down in Miami. I saw the latest pic of him in a very bright designer sweater but I am sure someone has already posted it. And he went to the only hotel that I had been to down in South Beach save for a few rather interesting places I am sure he hit as well. Wonder if he hit the Blue Martini bar? They had one in West Palm Beach where all the sports players used to go on weekends during spring training. It's closed now.

Thanks for continuing to give me such great feedback, everyone! I am working behind the scenes to get this official press thread up and running. It looks like nothing is happening, but I promise it is.

Because I have decided to backtrack through the threads from the most recent backwards, it appears that I've missed a few articles here and there. This is only because some threads were bumped more frequently than others. Every interview/press item that has been mentioned in a thread on this forum *will* be in included eventually - but there are over 60 pages of topics now, yikes! And although I am a researcher by trade, it does take a bit of time to cull the threads.

Here's where things stand at this point - remember, these are only some ideas just to get the ball rolling! None of this is set in stone and I'm completely open to suggestions/thoughts on all of this 'kay? 'kay. Here's how I'm setting things up just to get this underway:


1. First things first - things are currently in chronological order, because this is what will make things easiest for me once I'm at the point of grouping the articles by cast/crew members. This is just an FYI (as to where things stand)... Here's the breakdown of things/what each entry looks like at present (this is a work in progress, so feel free to offer input/suggestions). Each interview will have the following info:

* the date of the article
* the link to the article (or the full-text article if link is no longer available)
* the link to the original thread (in the event that members wish to comment on a specific press item or would like to read through the original remarks)
* a "hat tip" to the member who shared the press item with us.

2. Items will start out being grouped by the following categories (each of these will become their own topic and will be linked into this thread created by Frenchy). Here are the categories as of now (again, input/suggestions welcome):

* specific persons associated with BN will have their own threads (Matt Nix, JD, BC, etc, etc). Each thread will be organized by year, with the most current information at the top. As of now, each of these threads will include non BN-related press (i.e., threads related to the Life Rolls On Foundation, the Pebble Beach golf tournament, Changeling, and Don't Dress for Dinner will all be included in JD's thread - as to how to organize it, NatashaFatale has brought up some very good ideas and I am open to discussing it more...at the moment I'm going to just stick to keeping things in chronological order by the date of the event, i.e., placing the Don't Dress for Dinner thread in late November/early December 2008).

* Items relating to various cast members (i.e., Tricia Helfer, Tim Matheson, Gary Weeks, Seth Peterson) will be grouped into one thread, sorted by year (most current info back).

* Items relating to the production side of Burn Notice (i.e., interviews with Valerie Schields, Jeff Freilich, Craig Siebels, the youtube videos from the BN sound crew, etc) will be grouped into one thread. Info will be sorted by year.

* Items relating to the writers of Burn Notice (including Matt Nix, creator) will be grouped into one thread. Everything will be sorted by year (most recent info first). This thread will include the messages left for us by the BN writers on this website, but Nix has given interviews to the press on many occasions over the past few years (including one with our own Siggy26). How do people feel about including Matt Nix with the BN writers? Or would everyone prefer to see Matt Nix have his own thread? Again, suggestions and thoughts are welcome...

Alrighty, let me know what you think when you have a chance! I know this is a lot of information. And It's going to take a bit of time, but I actually enjoy doing stuff like this...perhaps it's because of my library background, lol. I just know that I've longed to see these interviews/articles organized for some time now (and I know others have as well - Brenna comes to mind off the top of my head, as I know we discussed this in the past). It'll be great when this is up and running and then it'll just be a matter of keeping the individual threads up to date/checking outdated links.
