Okay this week I fell apart. I decided I wanted to write something. So I wrote this.
I sat down next to my Dad. He smiled, and put his hand on mine. It had been a rough week, and I wasn’t feeling good. It was soothing to know that he was there.

"You okay?"

"Yea . . . I’m fine."

He chuckled. "Tell the truth."

For some reason he had a habit of chuckling when I lied.

"I’m not. It’s. . . It’s getting to me. Everything."

He tilted his head to the side a bit, looking into my eyes. "It’s okay Serena, you’re with me."

Given him a big hug, I said: "I love you Daddy."

I think it's sweet.
