Everyone post any new ideas for season 4. I mean we need something to talk about while we wait for new episodes. Some writers actually look at these message boards, if we get enough people to make this board a "hot Topic" the writers may look at it and take some ideas.

Unfortunately, pretty sure writers *can't* take whole episode ideas from the message boards... intellectual rights and all that. In fact, some time back some peeps around here were all up in arms about Psy vs Psy because it happened to have some similarities to a plot suggested in one of the many "Episode Ideas" thread floating around here... "Stolen idea" and such nonsense.

Not that we can't post ideas... that's always fun Just pointing out that full ideas for episodes probably won't be picked up by the writers!


As for season 4:
Personally, I am totally against Shawn and Jules hooking up anytime in the near future. Though I'm not a huge fan of the whole Shules plotline... I think it would make better television if Shawn continued to pursue what he has going on with Abigail for a little bit... then maybe it will be Jules who is forced to stop jerking Shawn around so much and realize she may (or may not... I can still hope) have feelings for Shawn... rather than Shawn continually chasing and mooning over her.

I would like to see more with Lassie. Not that he is officially divorced, they may be able to 'riff on that' (James term there) and explore possibilities there. Maybe Lassie will be open to something new in that area? Discover something that was right in front of him... (Can never have enough of Tim, personally.)

Maybe a case where Gus has to solve it, basically on his own, while Shawn is off doing... something. Shawn can only help by phone, obviously not being able to use his typical observation skills to help Gus.

I love all your ideas! We need more Lassie! With all the Shawn/Jules stuff going on, he kind of gets left out. I say they tone down the Shules. I love those two, but I agree that they shouldn't get together anytime soon.

I want to see Lassie solve a case. I know he does that all the time, but I mean like as the main plotline to an episode. I heard in the commentary for "Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing" that they were originally going to shoot Lassie and have Shawn solve who did it. That would still be a fabulous storyline, but they could also switch it around so that the Lassie/Jules team have to figure out who shot Shawn. I don't know where Gus would fit in. Maybe he would stay with Shawn or he could tag along with the detectives and try to help.

I like all of the ideas where gus and lassie each solve their own case. The two are part of the team, although shawn and jules seem to steal the spotlight too much. Gus really should solve his case just to have his turn in the spotlight, he is suppose to be a partner in psych but his involvement in cases are pretty low.The same for Lassiter he does deserve to solve more cases, I mean lassie is the head detective though he doesnt seem to lead a case for very long when shawn, gus, or jules are around[especially all 3 together].

Both ideas are great!!

My crossover dream would be Chuck vs Psych. Can you imagine how Casey and Lassie would get along?? How about Jules and Sarah...and Chuck and Shawn would probably get along fine...but Gus and Morgan not so much.

What if Gus and Lassie teamed up to solve a case. When Gus is his serious self (earlier season 1), I can see them getting along well and having some fun. Just a thought.

Any plotline involving Shawn's apartment...or house. Unless his place of residence was shown somewhere in the first half of season 3 (which is the only group of epi's I still haven't seen, they haven't yet shown where he actually lives. I'd really like to his his place! (Imagine the pineapples...)

That said, I do want to see Shawn get shot or seriously injured in some other manner. For one thing, you know his dad would be all over it. Strange as their relationship is, we've all seen how much Henry dearly loves his son. Wouldn't it be something for Lassy to now have to deal with Henry while trying to solve a case! Plus we've seen how Shawn flies off the handle when a case gets personal, how would Gus react to Shawn being in trouble?

They show his house/apartment [you couldnt really tell] "kinda" only in the pilot, I bet it has changed A LOT though i net it will be all pineapples, wicker [there are so many refrences in every season], and anything and everything shawn spencer.

I like the idea of shawn getting seriously inujred so that his involvement in the case would be minimal, so the others could solve the case. As you said, plus the added henry emotionalness of him trying to not be all involved but he would be. Also how would lassie take it? Would he completely fly off the handle, not care, just want to catch the guy, i mean he "hates" shawn[im using the world hate losley] so how would he react?

Then theres gus who would completely go to peices, but more than likely do everything in his power to catch the *jerk* who shot shawn, and then juliet she OBVIOUSLY likes mabye even loves shawn. Which has me torn, woould she stay at his side for his recovory or not sleep untill she caught the guy, or go to peices like gus except not be ably to work?

I think if shawn got shot or seriously injured in some other way that it would really shake up everyone and that it would be a great way to start, get ppl hooked in the middle, or end to a season, PLEZ LET THERE BE MANY MANY MORE SEASONS OF PSYCH!!!

I think that Shawn and Jules haven't had that much spot light. The ones in the spot light are shawn and gus. I think that Lassie needs more and so does Henry, but I think that the Shawn and Jules needs more as well.

I want a "Fast and Not Too Furious" eppy. It could be with the motorcycle or the car....a tri-cycle....Henry's truck...Lassie's squad car....a moped..something.

Yeah that would be an awesome name for an episode where someone [probably shawn] gets into a crash and everyone has to solve the case. I also agree with dualoftrouble on that shawn+juliet havent had much of the spotlight and i think that more episodes should be more on the two flirting, dating, or whatever else the writers have intended for them and a little bit less on all the trials and tribulations of the gus+shawn friendship and more on shules.

There's a million ideas that I have that I will post later when I have time, but one thing I do want to see is a return of the Chinese Crested that Shawn gave Gus and the end of Earth, Wind, and.... Wait For It.

Wow, you guys are forgetting that a Psych- Monk crossover is the #1 priority next season.

I would like to see an episode where Shawn is kidnapped by a criminal or group of criminals. They want to use his "psychic" abilities to help them in committing their next big crime and not getting caught. If he doesn't help them, his life is on the line. In the meantime, Gus and Henry have no idea where Shawn is and have to figure out what has happened to him and how to save him. Mix this plot with some classic Psych humor and a little bit of drama and I think it would be a great episode. Exciting and funny AWESOME!!!

YEAH! I AGREE! Shawn obviously is close with Jules and Gus and Jules also have a pretty good relationship. Shawn is also on pretty good terms with Lassie, even though Lassie does get really frustrated with Shawn, I definitely think their relationship has grown over the last 3 seasons. But Gus and Lassie don't seem close at all. I don't think they've really had a one on one conversation. I'd love to see those two team up, maybe to help Shawn and Jules or something. Let's see some Lassie/Gus bonding time

Love the episode names Shawn should use him/her to solve a case like he did with Little Boy Cat.

Everyone wants a psych monk cross over and i also agree. The best part is that the two totally different styles of solving a case.

Monk: clean, by the book, conventional, afraid of everything, and of course ocd

Psych[mainly shawn]: Unconventional, [fake] psychicness, no order, afraid of nothing, and all the 80's remarks and humor

Though they both have super observent tendencies; they just show/use them in different [but both comical] ways

It was fun...and DEFINITELY true that...it would be hilarious! I'm tellin' ya..on Facebook when they mentioned Dude was at the Dog Show, I thought they were kidding..and then I was like, "Really? Like for real? Cools!" Then the thought came to mind..they are researching an eppy!! LOL!

Just as long as Shawn can do the "kick-butt" run ala From Earth to Starbucks as he runs his dog before the judges, I will be happy.

Just imagine the psychic hilarity of Shawn's "conversations" with all the dogs at a dog show! That could be a comedic crowning moment for the writers.

Also all the snooty dog owners that treat their dogs like kids and even the dogs that look like their owners and even worse the owners that look like their dogs, depending upon the dog

Just imagine the feild day in 80s refrences and other humor the writers will have!

Heres a little script idea for what i was thinking this episode could be like.

Gus: I can't believe were at a dog show, what are we doing a dog show Shawn?

Shawn: Lassie called us in, remember? Oh thats right, you were stuck to the tv again watching reruns of Doc...

Gus: It was a great show, i dont see why you cant like it.

Shawn: Because, no doctor from montana has hair that lucious and perfect, I spent years perfecting this doo, no one messes with the doo Gus.

Gus: Right, well whats this got to do with the case?

end of scene....

(Later on, Shawn discovers a clue and pretends to channel this evidence through a golden retriever named "spinkle me kibbles")

Shawn: Wait, i'm sensing something...it's coming from the dog.

Jules: What's he saying?

Shawn: Ruff, ruff, roooooo... ruffy ruff o?, ruff...Im not getting a clear reading, ill have to ask everyone to step back just a little...no more, more, yes, no stop! Wait lassie can you move away to the right just a little? there!

Jules: Sandra Bennet? The national spokeperson for "free the dogs of america" what she got to do with this...

Shawn: I dont know, wait...she said something...on the news..something about, threating to ruin the shows sponsors!

I'm an amatuer writer, but I try.

I have an idea for a cowboy themed epsiode of Psych.

Where Shawn and Gus investigate the murder of a rider, and the horse is accused of killing him.
So in order to stop the horse from being put to sleep, they go investigate leads at a ranch.

Shawn will try to impress jules with horsriding skills while in a cowboy outfit, lassie will have some fun with shootin' on the range.
And the refrences could be endless.

i'm thinking of typing a couple scene ideas for that today actually

Hi im shawn spencer and this is my partner the choclate sundance kid or something along thise lines. Then the whole chaps thing would be enough now if they could get lassie in chaps it would be the most hilarious eppy ever!!

He is helping them see how cool each is and how they can work out something,lol. Gus will also do something of course,lol.

I had a title for an episode in my head and I really wanted to post it here.

Not really sure what you could make it about thought, I know it has to be about video games, I'd like to see one about video games.

I also want to see one where Shawn and gus need to work a case at somne sort of pizza place/arcade cause that one scene in black and tan was just awesome, but I wish it was longer.

And I want to see one where Shawn and Gus need to go to a graveyard... just because I like all kind of creepy stuff, and all the freaky episode in every season (Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast - Shawn (And Gus) of The Dead - Tuesday The 17th)

What would make it even funnier is the fact that Lassy isn't fond of Shawn, and would have to point out all the cool things, so I imagine it would be the kind of moment where he was forced to say something that he doesn't really think. And Gus would point out things to Shawn like Juliet's outfit or something, but the whole time Shawn would be like "Dude, what's up? Do you have like a crush on Jules now or something? You were so normal the other day."

Yeah and lassie being impressed by shawn or actually being nice to shawn while pointing out a detail about jules....... shawn would be like WHAT???!! what is he up to? Then gus pointing out things to shawn about jules shawn would think, either HEY! JULES IS THE GIRL I HIT ON, SHE IS MINE, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN FOR 3 YEARS?? I AM NOT WITH ABIGAIL ANYMORE!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? or he would figure out what lassie and him were trying to pull and accept/denie/ it or rat them out to jules and have a scheme for it to backfire on the other two, or know everything and get jules to fall for him. The thing with this cowboy epidode is there are so many things that could tottaly backfire or work out it just has so many angles.

Now onto the videogame eppy, it could show the more nerdy side of the team and their guilty pleasures of gaming. Like one of them could get completely sucked into the game, lassie would love the shooting games and probably some nerdy game as a guilty pleasure, jules would love something tottally unlike her or the same game shawn loves.....hmm, and shawn would love something like celebrity, 80s trivia challenge, nad of course fruit related[pineapple]! The crime side of it could be the high score holder of some game was killed/ has a death threat on him, the owner killed/death threat, or some other person [relavent to the gaming palace] has the same deal.

Payment[for shawn+gus possibly jules+lassie]: Free games and refreshments for life!!

Ooooo! Both of those are really good! I like that about the whole Lassy and Gus hooking up Shawn and Jules.
And about the videogame one, I like all the ideas, but I see Shawn as more of a, all kinds of games guy, like he could just pick up a controller and playing the game. (hehe... I could just imagine Gus being an MMORPG guy. I could see him playing World of Warcraft.)
I'd like to see them get the reward of free games and refreshments for life! That would be awesome!

And I got an idea for one where it's like Chistine but it would be the Psychmobile and it would target the chief and Lassy and Juels and McNabb, and they'd all approach Shawn and Gus about it, but they wouldn't know what everybody was talking about, and in the end the car would go after Shawn and Gus.
I don't know what a title would be, I want to base it off the Night Cycle thing in Shawn (And Gus) of the Dead.

Hmm... My brain is really REALLY stuck on what to call my Cristine based episode!!!!

Yeah, the Santa Barbra 911 would be cool if they put lassie and jules down and finally got a taste of their own medicine. Plus they should only listen to shawn and gus because they REALLY believe in psychhicness but the department keeps trying to worm their way back.

But Shawn wouldn't like the Santa Barbra 911 and he and Gus would give them wrong leads and give the SBPD the real leads, and in the end the SB-911 would be like "WTH?" and Shawn and Gus would be like "We only work for the SBPD, sukkas!"
OR
Shawn and Gus are glad they are finally accepted by some people, and then they would help the SB-911 and show lassy and Juels what they go through on a daily bassis, and I can just see Lassy sneaking on to the crime scene and Shawn would be like "Lassy, what did I tell you? This is the SB-911's case and ours, so we need you to leave, okay flat stanly?"

Another title idea I got

And in that there is an allegid suicide by a Musician but Shawn Gus Lassy and Jules don't believe it was suicide, but the chief does and disregards what they say because they don't have any good proof or leads, and the only way to solve the case is Shawn, Gus, Lassy, and Jules would all have to work together to figure out who killed the musician.

"iShawn" (an eppy where a suspect's name is Sean and Shawn and Gus investigates and meets a girl name Shahn...is that confusing..heck yeah!!)

Those are some great titles!
I like the idea for iShawn, and I think you would need to incorperate his iPhone in it somehow (Not to be a product placement guy)
And the suspect's friend would be named Guess (Pronounced Gus) hehehe, now THAT would be a confusing episode.
