EPISODE TITLE: "Pet Shop Boys"

SUMMARY: Shawn and Gus are called to investigate a possible crime at Zombie's Pet Shop.
A man insists that a murder has occurred, and hires Shawn and Gus to prove it.

MAN: My parrot is dead, and the owner of the pet shop, Monty Piethong, is the one who done it! (points to bird in cage)

M. PIETHONG: He's not dead, he's resting.

GUS: Shawn, I think he may be right.

SHAWN: Are you saying that because the bird is standing up in his cage?

MAN: The only reason he's standing up is because he was nailed to the perch!

M. PIETHONG: I only had to nail him to the perch to prevent him from escaping. He's a Norwegian blue, and was pining for the fjords.

SHAWN: I'm pretty sure that Norwegian blue parrots don't live on fjords in Norway. I think they live in cages.

GUS: Dead or alive, this bird's got lovely plumage.

I like the idea "Murder by Death and a Maiden" I think it should be about and at a renisance fair imagine the team talking in ye old english, going under cover there, the mocking, shawn telling peoples futures because he is "psychic" and more!! I will give more in detail but change the name because uts not my idea.

Gus: You know i hated that play and my mom pushed me into auditioning.

Shawn: Yeah but who landed romeo because of 3 summers at acting camp which you never told me about

Shawn: Sure, anyway you know you loved it because you got to kiss Susan McGurty.

Gus: Worst 10 seconds of my life

Shawn: You counted! Anyway I took this tickets as payment from our last case, just enjoy it!

Gus: At whatever rate, we need money if you want to keep playing psychic we need funding. The next case better bring in money, real money, nothing else.... nothing shawn.

Shawn: I bargained with the wenches at every shop. I just showed them my hair, shirt, carisma, teeth, and of course my psychic ability. [ he puts his hand psychic style to his head]

Gus:What about Abiagil?

Gus: I dont think she'd like you "bargaining" with every wench we see.

Maybe a cooking show- Food Network type episode, who knows, one of their chefs could even guest star. Lots of opportunities for pineapples there

Here's a scene i have invisioned in my mind.

(Shawn, Gus, Jules and Lassie are on the set of "cookoff america" where one of the judges was poisend, and this is them questioning one of the cooks with some banter thrown in)

Lassie: So tell us what happend,starting with the crem brule".

Chef: Well, i was mixing up my batch like i usually do (crem brule' is my speciality when i heard a loud crashing sound coming from one of the machines, the problem was there was too much rock salt that got thrown into the mixture for the ice cream, after i fixed the problem i went back to making my dish.

Later on the judge tasted my dish then collapsed, but i didnt posien her, she's always loved my dishes...every one, even the pig ears..

Lassiter: Don't dogs usually chew on those?

Chef: yes, but i wanted to try to be unique and original, i have been losing cooking points lately for unoriginality.

Shawn: Excuse me, but what kind of pineapples are these?

Chef: Its a jamaican hawaiin mix, my favorite, only ripens twice a year.

Shawn: I see, is that why theres a sticker on the bottom that reads "once you try it,you cant deny it!" well sir i must say, give me a piece of this pineapple now!

(tries pineapple)

Oh gosh, where did you buy this...it tastes like crows feet.

Gus: Shawn, how do you know what crows feet tastes like?

Shawn: Remember last month when we went to that indian place to try out some of their food?

Gus: Yeah. so?

I still want a "Transporter" version of Psych..with Frank Martin driving them around (yeah..I think Jason Stratham would be a bit busy..but I can dream!).

And do a "Cellular" version.....another "Psych scary" one like "The Last House of the Left"...and definitely one more that I can see the blue echo do a chase scene..seeing that little car do 360's and skidding arond...cracked me up.

I like the chase scene idea especially in shawn and gus of the dead! the 9 or 11 point turn gus used to turn around, and shawn giving ugs "constructive critisism" on his driving, cracked me up! i had laugh every time i think about it! LOL LOL LOL

Hey I just thought since the Fast and Furious came out they should do and episode w/ Paul Walker Guest starring and Gus gets all buddy buddy w/ him and Shawn is left in the dust for awhile.Like in Black and Tan.I don't know what the epiosde would be about but Paul Walker's to die for!

There should be one called "16 and 1/2 Blocks" where Shawn and Gus need to deliver a criminal or a package of great importance or something to the police station, but there are all these people and thing on the way there that are getting in their way and trying to stop them, hilarity ensues. (If anybody get's where I got the title and idea, then good for you!)

And another one where there's a computer hacker who gets through all the station's e-mails and files and criminal records and stuff and it would really get on everyone's last nerve, and in the end it would turn out that someone programmed a robot to do it all, I don't know what the purposes would be exactly, but the episode would be called "Short Circuits". Oh! and a good twist would be that all the e-mails and stuff would end up on shawn's computer! Then the police would think it was him and he would have to clear his name!

All I got right now....

These are all awesome ideas! Here are some worlds I would love to see our characters in:

A ballet or opera company
A mafia/"Godfather" episode
Professional wrestling
A church (imagine setting Shawn loose in a monastery or something)

I love the idea of 16 and 1/2 blocks, i think that they have to deliver the package but also solve a case they encountered in the blocks along with bad guys chasing them. More shawn+gus chas scenes all the way!!! LOL

Also short circuits especially if jules and shawn got together but hid it, and e-mailed each other a lot and stuff about their relationship all the time. Then the "virus" comes in and the messages start going everywhere and shawn+jules have to decide to either hide it more, tell everyone and see what happens, and/or try to catch the gu before everyone finds out. I think in the end though everyone should find out about them but on accident because they see the 2 together outside of the office.

If they did incorperate the whole Shawn and Jules thing, then they would have to make it one of the last episodes, because it would be like jumping the shark if they did it during the coarse of the show. I like the idea though, and in "16 and 1/2 Blocks" I believe there would be MANY car chases and many gun men that would be after Shawn and Gus, what would be funny is if Shawn and Gus stopped to get doughnuts on the way to the police station. Hehe...

That was my idea for an episode, and since nobody is replying to what I based it off of I'll just say that I got it from the movie 16 Blocks, starring Bruce Willis and Mos Def.

had an idea after re-watching s01e01 when shawn said the only way they find out the he's not psychic is if he says he's not - well what if shawn has an accident and has amnesia (very short term) and doesn't remember what he's been up to and gus and henry spend the eppy stressing in case he says 'i'm not psychic'. as well as solving the case of whodunit.

Imagine if lassie heard shawn slip up and say i'm not psychic! He would have a field day and juliet would be like WHAT, YES u are u just don't remember. Gus would be covering it up the entire episode and saying shawn's just kidding.

Oh that would be a GREAT/AWESOME/ONE OF THE BEST episodes EVER!!!! I can just imagine all the jocks shawn would say after "just meeting" the gang again, and hitting on juliet like he hadnt already been doing it for 3+ years! This HAS 2 become an episode!

How about a Komodor (a.k.a. the "mop dog")? It's the pretty large dog with the hair that looks like a cotton mop head. They are actually pretty fierce guard dogs. Either that or an Irish Wolf Hound, the tallest dog breed. They're HUGE.

I'm going with mop dog, to many jokes, additional bonus of doggy sidekick-hilarious visions through dog, gus being jelous/ not letting dog in car/ cleanslieness of dog, shawn arguing with people about keeping the dog, and whatever their "clients" and the sbpd do.

Here's an idea for an episode that would fit really well with BlackTsChica's title idea "One Night At McNabb's". I posted this already in the "Make McNabb (Sage Brocklebank) a Main Character" thread in response to someone's idea that Buzz be assigned to babysit Shawn. Thought I'd fine-tune the idea and post it here:

The aforementioned idea of Lassiter having Buzz babysit Shawn and Gus for an episode is a good one. Shaw's apartment gets damaged (shot up, set on fire, etc.) to threaten him into quitting work on a dangerous case. McNabb volunteers to let Shawn bunk with him so Shawn's presence doesn't bring danger to Gus, Henry, or any other loved ones. Fearing for Shawn's safety, Lassiter "bans" him from working the case, and assigns Buzz to shadow Shawn & Gus specifically to prevent them from investigating further. They should repeatedly try to ditch Buzz only to have him amazingly keep outsmarting them at every turn, thus revealing that Buzz is quietly sneakier and smarter than they ever thought. That would be a nice comic twist. Then, of course, Shawn has to figure out the case, find that Lassiter and Jules really do need his help, and convince Buzz to join them in kicking some bad guy butt.

That seems to me a good way to get some great development from just about every character in the show. How's that for an episode plot line?

I like the idea of an ALL characters involved episode and this definately a great idea for one! Especially Shawn+gus trying to ditch McNab but they nevers loose them, proving McNab is smarter than they think and adding quite a bit of comedy!

I would like to explore the idea on why Henry retire early. Remember in Cloudy with a Chance of Murder, Shawn even mentions that! I like to know why. Was it because his family was falling apart? (Hey, the man arrested his own son after his wife left!) Was because of a case? Why did Henry retire early? They should do that. The amnesia idea has been done on several shows and I stressed before I rather see Gus' character with the amnesia than Shawn, because it would be more dramatic that your best friend doesn't remember who you are and knows that you are a fake!

Another thing from that same episode that I've always wondered: Shawn says that his dad has been particularly against his motorcycle ever since his accident. He could be referring to the time he was run off the road in the Spelling Bee, but as far as I knew Henry never knew about that because he asks shawn what happened to his leg. And in ...Chance of Murder he tells shawn to take him off his emergency call list next he wrecks his bike. So that would seem to indicate that there was another accident that Henry knew about.

And about him retiring early, i figured it was the same reason he quite the lodge which was to try and keep his family together. But yeah, it would be neat to find out more about why he left early.

I like the idea of Gus having amnesia, i think it is more the essence of psych than the cliche of the main character having amnesia. Also you would still have the whole "What? He's not a psychic! You people r crazy!" or if he got long term memory loss and didn't even remember Shawn! All the jokes and conversations Gus would be confused, it would through shawn/ the dynamic duo completey off, and make it harder to solve cases.

I know! After seeing crash tests on The Today Show with a Toyata Yaris with midsize cars, that led me to think Gus was in a car accident. The police will believe that both Shawn and Gus were targeted because of their work with the police, but Shawn believes that someone at Central Coast wanted to see his best friend dead! And poor Gus with amnesia can't tell them anything. He can't even remember how he and Shawn became friends!!!

I like the idea of someone in his other/"real" job wanted him dead! Maubly because the sbpd will be looking into past cases for suspects, while shawn and amnesia gus look into his company for the suspects! Way better angle! lol

I was watching the Pilot yesterday and had completely forgotten about Shawn's amazing marksmanship. He made a joke about only handling water guns, but then he showed off some really impressive skills. I'd like to see that again! He hasn't even touched a gun since then, but I think it would be awesome if he had to use a gun to maybe get Lassie out of a bind. Wouldn't that just drive Lassie insane, lol. Or he could use a gun to partner up with Lassie in some situation...an ambush or something. Then again, Juliet has also shown very impressive marksmanship (think Tuesday the 17th). A Shawn and Juliet combo would be great. I just want to see him take up arms again, even if it's only for a scene or two.

I know! Everytime I see a scene where shawn asks for a gun but is [sadly] denied, I always think of the pilot and how he a great marksman [mabye even more than lassie] lol! Oh, just got a GREAT idea, the police department has a marksman/markswoman competetion and everyone expects lassie 2 win because of his gun *obsession* with guns. Then Shawn enters, lassie doubts him, Shawn adds his own flare and puts lassie to shame! LOL

Ooooh...now that would really make Lassie aka Regulator 213 really crazy! That would be great to see.

And the "give me a gun" cracks me up too. Oey..hurry up, Season 4!!!!
