It makes me very happy that they posted this. I always like to hear their thoughts about the show and I'm glad to know that James doesn't read the boards. I think that allows him to portray Shawn as he feels he should be without worrying about taking our opinions into consideration. More organic that way. And yes, I got a shout out so it doubled the excitement, maybe tripled it.

Icompletely agree, I think that if James read the message board he wouldn't be able to be Shawn to the fullest. If he read the board he would over think his acting way too much and be to absorbed into the comments and not the show.

Actually "Jumping the Shark" refers to a moment in Happy Days when the Fonz (in his leather jacket and everything) ACTUALLY jumps a shark on water ski's. The show quickly began to suck and was canceled soon after. Now whenever a show does something so monumentally stupid that it can never recover it is said to have "Jumped the Shark"


Please for the love of all that is good - don't let Psych "Jump the Shark" anytime soon... although with a show like Psych it seems difficult that they could ...everything they do is awesome!

Okay, first, *totally* stoked that not only did I get mentioned, but James Roday basically gave me props for referring to (and, I think, just knowing) Winky Cutto the frog. *Awe-some*

Sarcamlove, so glad you got mad props, because I totally agree that you should be praised for your thoughtful and comprehensive reviews of every episode. I totally love them and hope that next season you will continue. (Though, maybe others will get the hint from what Steve said and not 'quote' your *entire* review over and over again, LOL!)

I was so disappointed that we didn't get a writer's commentary for this one because I felt there was so much that could be said, so I'm glad they fixed that! Granted, I'm not sure they really said a lot about the episode, per se...

Oh well, much fun was had by all anyway! I'm sure they'll be plenty talked about during the commentary on the DVDs. (Can't wait for those to come out!)

The only question that was addressed, regarding Ben's well-being in Mary's pocket, wasn't even posed on this message board. I could not find it, anyway. I know that it was discussed on a different board, though. One wonders how many reams of posts they trolled through to make this podcast. Thanks for risking debilitating paper cuts to please the fans, guys. Those really sting. It's much appreciated.

sarcasmlove, as the leader designate, should you begin a topic to analyze what they were possibly trying to not tell us might happen in S4, specifically, the season premiere?

Another topic: Suggestions for Andy, since he stressed he only writes to the board's demands. The caveat is any suggestion should be nearly impossible to wedge into an existing storyline or must be distracting from a new one. I mean, otherwise, you're just doing his work for him.
Example: A main character should have a splint on an appendage that can be seen or alluded to. It's like the pineapple, but with gauze. (This is also a joke. I'm not sure how many winky-face emoticons are allowed in a post.)

To all mentioned, congrats! Your diligent attention to posting has been rewarded. And sarcasmlove, your reviews have been officially sanctioned apparently. I acquiesce.

Alright, so I just read sarcasmlove's wrap up of the episode for the 2nd time because it was mentioned in the podcast.
I can't believe how much you notice, it's really amazing. You are very talented. I hope you continue to do your wrap ups in season 4 because I love your perspective. Totally agree with everything you said!

Personally, I think it is great that they decide to do a podcast of this great episode a month after it aired! I wished I had a faster computer because it takes forever to download the podcast! I will have to wait to listen to it later when I have the time. In the meantime, I am happy that someone reads the board and answers all the burning questions we as fan have on this episode. I am also happy that sarcasmlove got the recogitition that she duly deserves. Got to go!

Wow this is amazing! To Steve, Andy, and James: Thanks for making a podcast because all of your fans went on the message boards! It's really refreshing to know that you actually read these things and took the time out of your schedules to answer us. So a big thank you from a huge fan!

Also I have to say, I've listened to all your commentaries/podcasts on the Seasons 1 and 2 DVDs and I CANNOT WAIT until Season 3. You guys always sound like you're having a lot of fun on those and out of all the commentaries for TV shows I've listened to, the Psych cast and crew are by far the best and have me cracking up with every one. I seriously can't wait for the new DVD to come out.

I still would like to know what that look between Gus and Shawn meant at the very end of the episode when they're in the car with Abigail. I'm really hoping that they discuss it on the DVD if there is a commentary for "An Evening with Mr. Yang."

Also when they all read the names from the message board in the podcast it made me realize mine is kind of boring haha. Is it too late to come up with something better?
