I also wanted to say that in season 4 I hope we get to learn more of Juliet's background & family, as we don't know much about them yet. Judging by that scene in the season 3 finale, I'm guessing that season 4 will be a very revealing season for Jules. Any thoughts or opinions on this?

I would love to see more about Jules. So hoping that Mr. Yang is foreshadowing of more Juliet reveals in Season 4.

Me too! I love Juliet!! We've heard a lot about Shawn's family, and we know Gus' family, and even Lassie's ex-wife. But we don't know anything about Juliet except that she's Scottish.

Two weeks ago, as the cherry blossoms were just beginning to bloom, a film crew was in Washington, shooting exteriors for Lifetime Television movies based on two of my books, Killer Hair and Hostile Makeover. The principal filming took place in Vancouver, Canada.

Of course I took time off my regular job and was able to observe a day of shooting on the city’s streets. It was a rare opportunity to see how the characters that I created will be translated to film. The memories that linger include the bitter cold but bright blue day and the actors playing out scenes that seemed to consist of a lot of kissing.

The comely couple playing Vic Donovan and Lacey Smithsonian—Victor Webster and Maggie Lawson—ended several scenes with a kiss. They kissed at the Tidal Basin in front of the Jefferson Memorial while tourists and a busload of middle school students looked on and applauded after the scene. They kissed in McPherson Square while businesspeople crossed the park and discreetly looked back at the scene. And they kissed in Lafayette Park in front of the White House, where Washington wonks wandered by while chatting on their cell phones.

You can count on kissing, however, in the upcoming Crime of Fashion movies. Killer Hair is slated to be aired Sunday, June 21. Hostile Makeover will air the following week, Sunday, June 28.

Taking center stage were the stars, Maggie Lawson as Lacey Smithsonian and Victor Webster as Vic Donovan. Maggie and Victor look great together and they have that all-important chemistry. Also looking very spiffy were the locations—the Jefferson Memorial, McPherson Square, Lafayette Park, and the White House. The cherry blossoms were a bit shy, although a few blossoms came out for show.

Maggie was outfitted in snappy vintage fashions and Victor towered over her, making them a striking couple. They're both gorgeous. (I've been asked not to post any pics of the shoot yet, so for the time being I can't show you how gorgeous they are.) During a scene shot in front of the White House, I overheard one dazzled Washington wonk on a cell phone telling someone, “There are some really good-looking people here!” Dude, Hollywood came to town!

Our Lacey and Vic endured a lot of kissing scenes, much to the delight of passersby and a group of middle school students from Nebraska, who applauded gleefully after one kiss. Of course I took the opportunity to tell them they should read the books first. Tough work. . . . Yeah, we know. I’m not sure that buttoned-up, gray-clad Washington, the seat of the nation’s power, can handle all that public affection. But why not, love is grand.

It’s really happening. The Lifetime Television movies based on Killer Hair and Hostile Makeover are currently being filmed in Vancouver, Canada. So who’s playing Lacey Smithsonian? Maggie Lawson of TV’s “Psych” will portray the D.C. fashion reporter, and Victor Webster will be Vic Donovan. For more information and photos of some of the cast members, check out my website.
