Nice idea Samfrench25, fun to read everyone's bios --Welcome all -- let's see, I was born in cnetral New Jersey and grew up there until I hit twenty when I left to attend college (for a while) in Tucson, AZ [amazingly HOT there], at the U of A (Go Cats!!), and ended up living there about twelve years, then eventually migrated to So. Cal (in 1990) -- I've lived in Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, and now Oceanside (just a little north of San Diego), love the West Coast weather, babes and beaches.
I've worked mostly in the technical fields and currently am a contract worker for a fairly large company in their R&D group, which design and sell desktop printers.
Love animals, but don't own any pets, cause I live in a small apartment. I love TV, movies, and driving my 2001 Mustang GT (Bullitt edition), most time faster then I ought to (oh ya, and making new friends on-line in this spy-show forum, ya might'a heard of ...
Cheers,
-Mac
Phi, sorry to hear about the loss of your four-legged friend. *sniffle*
Hey Mac glad you like the thread it passes the time during the BN droubt I guess, the weather in England is crappy um about 80% of the time so I envy where you are, would love to visit san diego one day they have an awesome
zoo so I've heard. Gotta love a guy who likes animals lol. QUOTE (VeeFall @ Mar 19 2009, 11:59 PM)

I live in Flagstaff AZ, 79 miles from the Grand Canyon. It's amazing how many refreneces there are to Virginia because I left VA to come here to college...34 years ago! It's pretty cold here in the winter but there's nothing like snuggling up under an afghan, with a toasty fire in the woodstove while the wind and snow are howling outside and being transported to sunny Miami with our favorite people. I have a grown son who lives across town and I work for the postal service. I too have pets, a 16 year old cat, a 10 year old Siberian husky and a 7 year old black lab. I must say that since discovering Burn Notice last summer no other TV show compares!
Hey nice to meet you, huskies are such lovely dogs, is yours really vocal? when we have them in @ work they talk to us all the time QUOTE (Trigger_Happy @ Mar 20 2009, 12:13 AM)

I love this thread idea!!
Umm, well... I live in Australia in the state of Victoria. I've never travelled anywhere outside Victoria but one day I plan to travel the world. I'm currently a full-time student studying at university. I'm doing a dual diploma in hospitality management and event management and I'm hoping I get a job in either one of those fields.
I've got a number of pets at my place; four cats of varying ages, one 2yo dog, two ducks, two chickens, one rabbit and one smelly old rat. There may be a lot of them but I love every single one of them to bits.
Yeah, I suppose that's it. I'm really looking forward to reading other peoples posts and getting to know them

Another animal lover and woo hoo I'm not the only one not in the USQUOTE (siggy26 @ Mar 20 2009, 09:59 AM)

My turn (since I was meaning to do this yesterday) ...
I was born in New Jersey but have lived 95% of my life in Pennsylvania. I'm situated in the wonderful Lehigh Valley area, which is a hop, skip and a jump from New York City and just a stones throw from Philadelphia. (
home of the World Series Champions, baby!
)
I interned @ the Wachovia Center doing everything from instant replay and video editing to camera work for the Flyers & Sixers. Graduated from college with a dual major in Electronic Media / Journalism & PR, then discovered after working in TV News for two years that it was completely not my thing. I'm now an online producer, writer and blogger extraordinare for The Morning Call, which falls under the Tribune flag.
Other random things about me -- I've got a twin sister, which is sometimes as cool as it sounds. We have occassional moments of ESP, and when we were younger we went to each other's classes at school ALL the time

... I'm also a bit of a daredevil and can't wait to go jump out of another airplane or two ... I love sports, especially baseball, and practically live at Citizens Bank Park in the summer ... I'm learning to play guitar, though I'm quite terrible I must admit {chuckles} ... I've got like two thousand songs on my iPod, so take that as you will. Music completes me ... I've been a "big sister" with the BBBS program for about 15 months now and love it ... since nearly everyone else has a dog, I do too (a black lab named "Duke" who is my real best friend

) .... I love to travel, and one day hope to visit Ireland ... I've "flown" a helicopter over the Grand Canyon, which was about the coolest thing I've ever experienced in my life ... and finally -- one day I hope to become the female equivalent of Matt Nix and bring you all some wonderful TV show you can ramble about continously. It might take a while, but ... I'll get there eventually

Hey Sig I love your blog and I believe you could write some wicked TV, flying over the grand canyon huh that must have been a buzz. I used to play giutar but now I mostly play guitar hero lol. By the way your editor seems pleased I read his blog he sent me a pm to say I was the first international reader.

First of all , thanks Frenchy for starting this thread. It has been very interesting reading about everyone.
I grew up on a dairy farm so I love animals too! My brother and his family have a golden retriever, Lucy, and I refer to her as my "fury niece". Lucy is 11 years old and not in the best of health but she still loves to visit the farm.
(Philippa, so sorry to hear about your beloved golden retriever. Thank you for sharing his picture -- I can tell he brought you much joy!)
I live in Southeastern Minnesota not too far away from Rochester, Minnesota where the Mayo Clinic is located. One radio personality refers to this area as the "Miami" of Minnesota.

In the summertime, the temperature is usually hotter/warmer in this area than other parts of Minnesota.
I, like Karendipitee, was laid off at the end of last year like many others due to the economy. I worked in the office for a manufacturing company as a customer service rep and then as a material planner/scheduler and then in the engineering department. At this time, I'm looking into going to school to train in a new field - possibly in the medical field. There is a little more research to do and paperwork to fill out and submit......

Hey I grew up on a farm too, not my parent's my uncle's, he semi adopted me as have I mentioned I'm an animal lover lol. Sorry to hear you were laid off the UK is having a lot of job cuts too, no one knows what will happen.

This is an awesome thread. We all certainly have a diverse group of people on this board. Burn Notice really appeals to all different types of people. I guess Burn Notice's greatness is universal!
I am from the Hudson Valley area. I live a little over an hour from NYC. I have lived here all my life and I have a feeling I will always live here. I am 28 years old. I just bought a house two years ago and got married this past September to my boyfriend of 8 years. We have no children yet but I am sure we will have some potential mini-spies in the future.

I went to college for chemical engineering but half way through schooling, I ended up working as the human resource manager for an employment agency. I am still here enjoying my time working with people instead of chemicals. I am horribly allergic to cats and dogs but I love them still so I visit my two sisters' cats all the time with the help of a jug of Benadryl. I do have a little black rabbit named Lou who thinks he is a dog. Other than Burn Notice, I love the band 311, the New York Mets, and I am beyond an avid reader. I am in the middle of reading all the Scarpetta novels by Patricia Cornwell (I just read three of them this week!) and I can't wait to read the new Burn Notice book coming out soon.
Hey Kirpez I prefer animals to people they dont talk back lol. Except you good folks of course.
Wow guys this has been really fun, keep posting everyone. I now feel I know you all a little better
