Love your screen name, stillonJAGwithdrawal, and it made me wonder -

For the benefit of the medical and psychiatric world, maybe we all could compile a comprehensive list of classic symptoms of JAG withdrawal. smile.gif I do remember them being painful and taking a long time to recover from.

Everybody please contribute. Welcome to the board to all the new people.

Here's one -

Every time I see an aircraft carrier on tv or on a Navy recruiting advertisement, the JAG theme starts playing in my mind. And then it stays there for several hours.
Wizard
Every time I see a uniform, I look to see if the ribbons are upside down. (Like Harm's in "Boomerang")

Every time I see a courtroom drama I look for the JAG seal on the wall.

When I hear "What do YOU want to do?" I always answer - "Let's get Jagged."

When an actor from JAG is playing a new role, I only see the original JAG character.
It's really Meg in Angel in the Family and Chloe in A Season for Miracles.
I think, "Hey, there's Ensign Lane" from Defenseless in that commercial for Citracal.
It's Hemlock, not Yarborrough, in Shakedown and Hemlock is the CAG in Crash.
This problem is actually much worse than it appears - it goes back to Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone -
The retired CNO from Need to Know is actually The Major from Five Characters in Search of an Exit
and it's still The Major and not Dr. Wallman in Miniature.

As long as USA continues to show JAG, withdrawal is somewhat diminished.
I admit, Ninja - I do miss my euro-JAGgie buddies and sometimes wonder where the heck that Librarian went.

Sadly, I have been too busy to keep up with Jag for the past few weeks. I'll have to have my own Jag marathon with the episodes I have on the DVR soon...maybe while I'm on Spring Break.

In response to Ninja's post about Jag withdrawal symptoms...I'm not sure if this is exactly what you mean but I find that I frequently annoy my family and friends with my "extensive" military knowledge, all gained from Jag, of course. My son, who recently joined the Coast Guard, seems particularly unimpressed when I say things like, "Well, I learned on Jag..." I get a lot of eye rolling from him, but it doesn't bother me. He seems to have forgotten that he was a Jag addict for many years when he was growing up. Maybe all that Jag watching prompted him towards a military career. Who knows?

JAGgie moms are the best moms.

My dad's in the Navy and literally every time he has his uniform on I'm like "God I need to watch JAG soon!" haha I miss this show.

the first sweet taste of freedom *hailey*

Livin' on the edge of night - you know the sun won't go down slow
You don't know what drug is right - can't decide which way, you wanna go
I feel the way you feel. 'Cause not so long ago, it had a hold on me -
I couldn't let it go - it wouldn't set me free. It wouldn't set me free.
No more No more No more

Seemed like the easy thing - to let it go, for one more day
Life's singing' the same old song - and twistin' the words, in a different way
Where did the magic go - I searched high and low -
I can't find it no more - I can't get it back - I can't find it no more - I can't find it no more
No more No more No more No more no more

Searchin' for quality . . . havin' to have the very best
Now scroungin' for quantity . . . never havin' time, to do the test
That's how the story goes - can't put it down, till the last page
You can't put it down . . . can't put it down. I can't put it down. Put it down. (Neil from Freedom)

*is flattered* Hmm, what to contribute, I could go on all day. In fact, I do go on about JAG a little too much for people's general tastes, but that's there problem! OK, so it's mine. Whatever. I'm working on it. Here's a good example of the extent of my personal JAG addiction- http://www.tv.com/jag/show/242/everything-...g_id=13046843#1

P.S. "hellogilbert" is my screen name over there. I'm a CSI nut, too. I tried to fill the (unfillable) void with another addiction.

"JAG has helped me in stuff like history, philosophy, etc. The material, if you will, really is pertinent to daily life."

I agree, and would like to discuss.
If you would like to engage in a serious/fun adventure, please cite examples from JAG and life experience.

Someone and someone - were down by the pond; looking for something . . . to plant in the lawn
Out in the fields - they were turning the soil; I'm sitting here hoping - this water will boil
When I look thru the window - and out on the road - they're bringing me presents, and saying 'hello'
Singing words ̀́ words - between the lines of age
Words ̀́ words - between the lines of age. Words . . . words → between the lines of age

If I was a junkman - selling you cars - washing your windows - and shining your stars
Thinking your mind was - my own in a dream - What would you wonder - and how would it seem?
Living in castles - a bit at a time - the King started laughing - and talking in mime
Singing Wordą words . . . between the lines of age
Words . . . words . . . between the lines of age (Neil from Behind the Barn (JttP))

Watching every episode with my wife, she was able to learn a lot about my time in the Navy - terminology etc.
Stuff we never talked about, but this gave her opportunities to ask questions, and led to us taking a vacation to South Carolina to visit my old ship, the USS Yorktown, now a museum. Thanks JAG!
