I've been reading on here and I had the exact same problems with the first and second left turns in mission 7. This is what I did the get pass them:

Pay extremely close attention to Seymour's voice pattern because timing is the only way to nail this. Do not push the key until you literally hear the "t" sound in "left". I know how stupid that sounds but I noticed that Seymour was putting a lot of emphasis on that "t" so I waited about a half a beat and pushed the left arrow key and sure enough it worked. You have to be patient because if you hit the key while he's saying the word, you're gonna see that all too familiar cut scene. It took me one more attempt the get the timing right because I was still shocked I figured it out but now I can do it practically at will.

I've tried your solution several times and I still get caught. There has to be a better solution hopefully an administrator will look at these threads and hopefully it will get fixed or they will address the situation

i tried waiting until the "t" sound but after the second "t" sound i get caught. seymour doesnt tell you what to do next which is irritating!!!

Don't know if you still need this info but did you try pressing the arrow key in a smooth stroke instead of a quick hit of the key?
Instead of jabbing the key try pressing it down and release. This worked for me after the first time of hitting the key as quickly as I could. Good luck!
