Now that you've seen the current shows and team, what are your thoughts? The old team was getting, boring but the new team has gotten just as bad. Very dull. Poor characters that don't support House in a strong way. And what is with the inter-racial love scenes with Foreman and # 13? Do they really add anything or is it only because the writers & producers thinks it sells. Do white women or men find that exciting and interesting? Maybe it might be different if Foreman was at least attractive.

Where do you think the show should go from here and who should go and who should stay? Nothing like a controversial subject to kick off the comments.

The old team was getting a little boring, and there was so much backstabbing going on from Chase, that one of them had to go eventually. And it would have been a crappy series as Chase MD. I think that putting them into new positions adds a different element. They're still there, and they're still able to involve themselves in the storyline. Chase's animosity for House plays out very well, and Cameron's episode as the standin dean of medicine was an excellent episode.

As for the new team, I'm sorry to say that I'm disappointed in Kuttner. I really like Kal Penn, but every episode it's all about him ignoring the medical case and wondering where their missing colleague is, and whether or not they got laid. Taub is also falling into that rut on occasion.

The Foreman and Thirteen relationship, I'm not even seeing as being focused on being inter-racial. I'm seeing it as being an intrigue element for House, as well as an Intrigue element in the character of Thirteen who is by confession, bi-sexual, and how that plays into things.

Personally I hate the relationship, because it's between my favorite non-House character, and my second-to-least favorite character. So yeah, I'm a little disappointed in that.

Overall after this last episode with the Methadone, I'm still entertained, and I'm still looking forward to new episodes. smile.gif

I am concerned about how Methadone was portrayed in this episode. It doesn't match reality. In this episode, House allegedly has convinced some physician to write a prescription for methadone. Not realistic. Methadone is used by Detox physicians, pain management physicians, and palliative care physicians, all of whom have expertise in its prescription. So, why did the hospital administrator demand he give it up? As he said, the methadone controlled his pain, and really, is not likely to kill him. How Hollywood!!! Their technical advisor really missed the boat this time. This does a disservice to persons who use methadone as prescribed and for chronic pain, terminal disease pain, and detox. So how could a hospital administrator demand that she administer his pain management regimen.

Yup, this is a "dangerous" drug, but so is insulin, duloxetine, coumadin, st john's wort, viagra, etc especially if used wrongly. I was greatly saddened for this physician that he was denied pain relief and a better life by the IGNORANCE of his fellow physicians.

You forget that it was House's own choice to stop taking the Methadone. Reason being, he was in a good mood and indulged the parents of that child, knowing full well that they didn't need an MRI. In doing so, causing the entire problem which was originally a minor dehydration problem. He took himself off. As Cuddy said, he couldn't compromise his intellect. And that's what the methadone was doing.

I find the new team is disrespectful of house - if the old team thought House was off the mark they would go to Cuddy or Wilson

But the new team - has there own agenda and don't care about hospital protocals - they act like they cannot be fired and that this is a permenant poistion and not just a fellowship. (what will poor Taub do)

Couldn't agree more. Get rid of Foreman and Thirteen. Bring back Amber [She had moxie]. Replace Thirteen and Foreman with the mormon, and introduce Cameron's "twin" sister. Increase the Holmes/Watson relationship.
