I told Fanfiction.net this is me lashing out at Bobby. It's true, while I don't expect him to be perfect, not being an a$$hole 100% of the time would be nice. dry.gif

Through The Looking Glass

Eames felt punched in the gut watching her partner and the man he trusted more than he trusted her. “You told me in confidence.” Again, again he holds back from her. Again she has to find out secondhand. Did he even care what she thought of him?

At that moment, something in her seemed to snap. She looked over at her captain, surprised he didn’t hear it break. He was engaged, watching Goren through the looking glass. She knew her partnership had just been severed. It had been thin as of late. The easy way of working together had slowly evaporated. Now—it would never return. He had kept one secret too many. She clapped a hand over her mouth to keep from screaming in pain.

Finally Ross noticed her. “You okay, Detective.”

She took her hand from her mouth. “Captain, I think I’d like to go back to my desk now.”

He seemed confused by this, but nodded. She walked quickly away and to her desk, closed her eyes so she wouldn’t see the desk of the man she once called partner and friend, and lost herself in thought.

Sometime later, she heard him returning. He sat down wearily at his desk, looking questioningly at her. “I was surprised I didn’t see you after I finished with Declan. I’m leaving early, is that okay with you?”

She didn’t have anything to say to him anymore. Instead of words, she used her weapon one last time. Picking it up from her desk, she aimed it at his head, and fired.

I sure hope you don't give writers any Ideas on how to end the series.

Well, why shouldn't she do it? He's a smug piece of crap who thinks she's not good enough to know his secrets, oh, but he'll tel fellow smart-guy Declan, even though Declan's a complete bastard and Bobby knows it.

Maybe she shouldn't do it because, as Gage observed "You care very deeply about him." It's a blessing and a curse, but she does.

Bobby has a right to his own secrets, his own personal life, just like everyone else. Who he chose to tell any of his own secrets to, who he allowed access to his personal life, is his own business. If Alex seriously thinks she's entitled to shoot Goren because he won't tell her everything, she needs to check into Carmel Ridge.
