Cool. I'm going to say that almost not recognizing her in a different role is a solid compliment!

You're reading my mind, FD. I almost added that. Highest compliment for me is when I don't recognize them. Had to IMDB to make sure it was her.

I finally got to see the new Star Trek movie (I know, I'm so behind) but Kelvin Yu (Nick Lam from Hard Bargain) was in it (okay very small part, but cool, nonetheless)! I was totally "It's the DUDE with a problem!!!" Great movie, by the way.

I saw the new Star Trek movie (did not care for it; I'm old school Trek), but I totally missed Kelvin Yu. GOOD EYE NatashF. you always see more good stuff than I. smile.gif

I kept looking at her, trying to think where I had seen her before. Her face looked thinner. I finally figured it by her voice which is wierd since she didn't have the same accent.

I didn't catch that...oh, do I have to see that movie again! I did like the movie and I'll see it again laugh.gif

The gal from Turn & Burn on the Closer did look a bit different.

I didn't catch The Mentalist must this past season but did a rerun last night featuring Zeke from Trust Me (Patrick Fabian) as the bad guy.

I think this guy on Bones is Kenny from "Good Soldier".

OK not exactly a guest appearance on a show, but Audrey Landers was in "A Chorus Line" way, way, way back when. I totally forgot she was in it. She played Val and sang "Dance 10, Looks 3" biggrin.gif You can see a clip of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-yjj6_LBCs
Karendipitee
A fair number of JD's other appearances are popping up this week (times E/P):

Monday, 12:30 pm: Spin City on FX
Tuesday, 5:30 pm: Hitch on TNT (when this is aired with commercials, his 2 scenes appear at about 35 minutes in and an hour and 35 minutes in, or about 6:05 and 7:05 for this airing)
Thursday, 10:30 am: Bait on Cinemax
Thursday, noon-2 pm and repeated 6-8 pm: CSI: Miami (2 episode arc, but he's barely in the first)

Or check the list yourself at IMDB.

Hi, all
Elder Wilhelm brother from "Old Friends" on a re-run of Bones tonight. Very distinctive voice/way of speaking...didn't really even have to see him to make that ID!

Hi again!
Looks like I'm the only one who likes this thread...
Anyhoooo...

Tricia Helfer is on episode 2 of "Warehouse 13" on SyFy.
She's playing something FBI-related. Looking a lot like Carla in her not-quite-straight hair incarnation.

Thanks FunnyD, I keep forgettin' there's new TV on in the Summer time (aside from BN, oh and that Royal Pains thing-ie, which is losing me more each week.)

I've been meaning to check out Warehouse 13 on the *new* SyFy. I may have to pop in a tape and watch tomorrow, but thanks for the heads up!! biggrin.gif

I'm sort of liking Warehouse 13. Only 2 eps so far, but we'll see.

I guess I'll just have to call Royal Pains my guilty pleasure. And, hey, it kills one of the hours until the repeat of BN! (Don't think it'll last very long, though, do you?)

And what's up with having an opening voice over AND a theme song? Need to burn up extra seconds because your writers aren't BN caliber, Hmmm?

I keep trying to watch "Warehouse 13" I really, really try but about ten minutes or so in I suddenly start acting like I had ADHD or something and I find about 1,000 other things to do while it plays in the background. I think it's because I keep waiting for them to just "come across" the Ark of the Covenant or something and I get bored when they don't! wink.gif

SyFy sorta lost all their Easter Eggs at once, so I hope Warehouse 13 will keep things going. EUReKA is okay, but I am not a super-big fan there -- it has a good cast, though!!

... No I fear RP will not last, unless they can kick it up a notch or three!! Otherwise it will RiP. It's too bad, the pilot was very good, but none of the ep have really come close to that one.

I like the lead (hate the brother). I love Divya (or however you spell her name), she is truly fun, pretty and love the accent and glasses. The Dr. Lady is okay, but she seems to lack oomph. I also like the Millioniar Landlord guy (gad, cannot think of the actors name) Loved him in "The Spanish Prisoner" and a bunch of other movies and tv stuff he's done, which I cannot remember now, either ("... my mind is going Dave ... I can feel it. )

I fear all the really great writers are working for Mr. Nix and everything else is just trying to hang on for dear life.

I do really like Jeff Goldberg as the new partner on L&O: CI. I am watching that show regularly now, when I didn't before. I love "In Plain Sight" anyway, so it make it easy to tune in early for L&O: CI.

... sorry, I was re-watching FiRo videos smile.gif

My feeling is that it is a combination of X-Files and "Friday The 13: The series" (remember that one; the quest for cursed objects) I really like FT13: TS, but after the young male lead left the show, it just fell down.

But WH-13 looks like it is more upbeat and fun. There were the network shows 11th Hour and that other one with the guy who used to play Paisie on Dawson's Creek, they are just too weird and dark. I like dark, but these need candles or flood lights or something. I think SyFy is trying to keep a sence of humor with their shows.

I need to check it out ...

**EDIT**
I decided to stay up and watch Warehouse 13 and am glad I did, I was pleasently suprised on a nicely done episode. I gotta go back and find the pilot now. Sort of what I was expecting, but not a silly as I feared it might have been. I like both main actors, plus Mr. Rubenstein as the caretaker of the warehouse, with hs fancy gadgets. Finally he gets to play a likeable good-guy. And Tricia Helfer too, it was very entertaining.

I believe I have a new time-slot reserved for Tuesday nights. Thanks FunnyDiva for the shout-out on this show.

I've missed 3-4 seasons of Monk...hope they do a huuuuge marathon to get us up to speed. I love that Adrian Monk. Ambrose is a pretty neat character, too.

Hope Tony Shalhoub is able to go on to new projects. I imagine he's set financially.

FunnyDiva, I saw that show tonight. He had some of the same manerisms of Jimmy. And . . . he was a soil scientist (which Fiona told Campbell was Michael's area of expertise). Yes, just love my soil.

From MSOL...

TV Alert: For those in Canada, Michael's latest film for Insight Film Studios, Desperate Escape, is scheduled to repeat on the Movie Network (cable) on 7 August at 6:00am and 12 August at 7:30am.

This film has only been shown in Canada...so desperately want to see it... laugh.gif ...really bad joke!

If any of you saw the season premier of Monk last night, Fiona's ex-boyfriend, Campbell was in it. He played the father in a "Brady Bunch" like TV show that was Monk's all time favorite show.

Yes, that was a silly movie. The first one was cute. This one was silly. I've seen Nefzi around on a bunch of shows but can't tell you where though. Yesterday I saw Waseem, our favorite Pakistani spy on TV but again, I'm drawing a blank as to what show it was. I haven't been into watching anything since Long Way Back. Every single time I put something on either I pay absolutely no attention to it or give up and replay Long Way Back. The withdrawal from BN's season finale is going to take longer than I thought it would.

Erick Avari is well known to us Stargate fans...he appeared in the movie with Kurt Russell and James Spader...playing Kasuf the leader of the Abydonians and also Shar'i's father who became Daniel Jackson's Father in Law...he then appeared in the series as well as the same character with obviously Michael Shanks playing Daniel Jackson...was actually pleasantly surprised when he showed up in BN....

I recorded his L&O episode today and watched it while i was having lunch (things come on at weird times with my HD plus I had a really late lunch) and I loved it. He was great, but when is he not great?

I had no idea his CSI: Miami episode was coming on. I'll have to record that as well. Maybe I can figure out how to get my supposed DVD recorder thing to work on my TV so I can burn them onto DVD and still have space on my DVR for Burn Notice and Psych.

Thanks for the info jadie! biggrin.gif

I've posted this before, but will repost it on the chance people don't know it: An actor's bio at IMDB lists their U.S. TV appearances for about the next week or two. It's at the bottom of the top section, just above Filmography. Here is Jeffrey's listing, which shows today's L&O, the BN mini-marathon on Thursday, Blair Witch 2 on SyFy Thursday evening, and the CSI: Miami eps on Saturday.

Football legend Michael Irvin will be on Dancing with the Stars coming this fall. He played the coach in my Favorite episode "Hot Spot. It will be intresting to see him dance.

On the DWTS topic I would love to see BC on that show...he would be hilarious as he is on BN and in real life.

I totally forgot about JD being on CSI Miami tonight and I caught it by accident. I'm probably in the minority here but I didn't know who Jeffrey Donovan was until Burn Notice. Hey everyone,

I was just watching tonight's episode of Warehouse 13 and noticed a BN guest star from season 2. Mark Sheppard, who played Prescott in Bad Breaks, played one of the regents (the really pushy, mean, and annoying one). His character kind of had the same attitude as Prescott. I would have liked to see him in a different kind of role, but he was very effective in this one.

Anyway, just thought I'd drop in my guest star spot. =]
