Ok so i was really bored last night when noooboy else was online, and i thought i would check out the monk message boards cuz i like that show.
and they were talking about really boring stuff!

i know!
i look on the monk boards occasionally too cauze i also like that show.
but theyre so serious and what not and were all like boring and super lame.
Psych fans are sooooo much kuler!!

Hey, I've been flitting through all three boards (BN, Monk, and Psych, no particular order), each have their strong and weak points...I don't see any of the creative writing or picture 'making' here I see on either of those boards...but you don't see me ripping on anyone here....

Let the Monk board take care of itself....Don't destroy others to build yourselves up...you want to say you're a 'better board'....prove it!!! Do something with it...Just saying 'we're Number One!!!' doesn't make it so....

here is the thing: at least monk doesnt pretend he is something he is not.
Also, monk has more of a reason to solve cases. and that is all the time
Psych takes too many references. and i think psych is like a spinoff of monk.

psych is definitely good, but (i (as well as many others) believe) monk is far better.
not to mention Monk has only 1 season left (DAMN IT!)

plus psych copies a lot from monk

examples:

Mr monk goes to vegas (captain solves case, cant remember) ; forget-me not (henery's old cap solved a case he forgot)

Mr. Monk and the buried treasure ; the greatest adventure in the history of basic cable

mr monk and the daredevil ; daredevils!

there r more, but i will not put them on


the point is, monk forum is more serious, but for a good reason


plus i notice posts on forum r very directly proportional to what show the forum is for

i had a realllllyyyyyyy long arguement & acidently Xed out of it but i copy & pasted it but 4got & sent one of my friends a video on youtube. so it disapeared. ile try to remember it & put on later

Guys (and gals) can we pleeeeeeeeeeze not have an arguement over which show is 'better'...it's a moot point....it's all personal opinion....you could compare who gets to a topic first (a la Vegas or Daredevils), but if one does a 'better' job (again, subjective), which matters more....?

I personally prefer Psych over Monk, show-wise, but honestly, yes, Monk has more interesting topics/threads going on on the board in my book (and the BN board beats both of you), but I enjoy each for what each has to offer, and that's all there is to it....what's wrong with that?

yeah i definitely agree about it being subjective.

and also another thing to consider is that a lot of it has to do with age.

now, i cant say this for sure, but it seems like a lot of monk fans are older.
as james once said in an interview "psych is like monk... for the younger guys."
and personally, hey i'll admit, i'm a teenager and sometimes all i want to talk about is the crazy stuff gus says, shules and how hot james is... and perhaps on the monk boards, they dont talk about that kind of stuff. whats on the boards is a reflection of the fans, and IMO is also a reflection of the demographic of the fans.

anyway, i agree no point in arguing about it. we all have our opinions, and thats that.

Guess you may have a point, I'm in my 30's and I love Psych, BN and Monk...they're all different shows, and I like them for different things
