I love this character on Monk! It is played so very well and is an integral part of the whole Monk cast. Some of the things he's done are so very funny.
What's your favorite Disher moment(s)?
One of mine is when he lights up the cigarette and Capt. Stottlemeyer flicks it out of his mouth, and also the times he tries to act so very cool.

Damnit! I just wrote a long list of my favorite Randy moments and this stupid, non-function, very much not improved board ate it! Why mess with something that isn't broken, USA? Why? It worked so much better before, but someone had the brilliant idea to go and mess with a perfectly functioning board and now it screws things up way more than it works like it's supposed to. I imagine that your admin isn't really happy about it either, because he/she has to deal with it and is doubtlessly swamped with angry complaints, but the admin hasn't complained on the board that I am aware of. However, we have been very vocal and very, VERY unhappy with it. Either do something to help the admin fix the problems or change it back to the old, functional system, this new one is not worth it.
Okay, back to the Randy moments, instead of the long, detailed, work of art that my previous, lost forever post was, I'll just hit the high points.
I love moments when Ted and Jason are played off one another for great comedic affect, like in the car chase in Sleeping Suspect, and the whole free refills for life arc in Buried Treasure.
And when Randy is considering branching out and exploring new avenues or professions, like in Fashion Show, Dentist, and Bank.
I like when Randy provides valuable insight or evidence, or when he has a genius moment that saves the day- Biggest Fan, Manhattan, Back To School.
His theories that are maybe not so genius- reverse liposuction, killing off world record holders, and in a related one, when he was picking apart the Alice Cooper theory in Garbage Strike.
I like it when he's gets agitated while talking to suspects, like the careening seven miles bus in Cult, and 'He called me white! Don't deny it!" in Rapper. Or when he's angry period- "We're dying... Call 9-1-1 you silver bast-"
I like it when he's sweet, like when he gave Sharona the pictures back in Playboy and played the tape of Fat Tony talking about her in Godfather.
I love it when he does something impressive as hell, like getting a description of the car that had just hit him (even though they really didn't need it) and later identifying the black widow bride and remembering so many facts about her case after nine years, not to mention being dragged down stairs, basically thrown to the floor at her feet while in great pain from newly broken bones and other very recent injuries, and being on pain killers. Pain killers or not, he had to be hurting, after that trip downstairs, I would imagine all they were doing was making it harder to think.
I love it when he is oblivious, like eating that hotdog in the last episode.
I love any occasion they have him in drag, especially complaining about bras, like in Three Julies.
I am all for any occasion that leads to him taking off his shirt and/or pants.

I am shameless, yes.
I love all his Super Randy! tackles and takedowns, and whenever he provides the final piece of the puzzle they need to figure out the case.
I love when he acts like a kid, like wanting to go trick or treating with Julie.
I love when I do remember to select all and copy my posts before I hit 'Add Reply' on this stupid, dysfunctional piece of junk board. I would not want the poor admin's job of dealing with the fallout from this crappy new board.
