I often wonder when reading the treads discussing the Shawn and Jules relationship if there is an age/urgency interaction to the prevailing opinion as to whether or not these two should "get together now!" And what I mean by that is I would like a poll that would take into account one's opinion on the course of their relationship as well as the age of the individual holding said opinion. I can start.

I am 29, and though I do like these two characters as a couple, I am in no hurry to see it happen on screen. I'd be fine with the flirting for many years to come.

What do you think?

Clicked the wrong button lol got a little excited about the topic of this thread. I am 16 and I say wait for it. I would LOVE to see things happen, but this isn't really a serious relationship type of show, so until the end in which they should so get married haha, I would have to say (as much as it pains me to) keep 'em flirting.

14 and I want them to get together soon, but not too soon. Maybe end of season 4 or beginning of 5 or something, but NOT the last season!!

22 and, though I've said this many times elsewhere...never! Too predictable for Psych. Also, I just don't think they necessarily mesh well.

I see what you mean but thats why it has to happen. We're all expecting it and most people want it to happen, so if it doesn't I think many people will be mad if the show ends without Shules. And I personally really want them together at some point!

Oh, I know. I've resigned myself to the inevitable sunshine and rainbows and butterflies at the end. Doesn't mean I have to agree with it, though! (I'm really not a pessimist-I just sound like one sometimes )

Okay...So far:
It seems the 0-18 age group is skewed towards "get together now!", while the 19-40 age group has a normal distribution, but we definitely need a larger sample! And where are our 41+ folks?

I'm 16 (almost) and i would really love to see them together but maybe just not yet. I'm kinda torn cause i want to see them get together now but i dont. Ahh the drama of delimma!

27 and I chose not yet, but I'd be okay with never. Relationships in canon have a way of changing shows and characters and often not for the better. Plus, Shawn still needs to grow a bit more before he can have a lasting, healthy relationship with Jules. IMHO, if it were to be healthy it would have to start with him being honest about not being psychic and that would not be good for the show.

Can you imagine the situation that would put Jules in? He would be risking her career by asking her to continue the lie. If he told everyone, that would be different, but just to tell Jules...

Now if Jules found out in some other definitive way (I'm sure she and Lassiter already suspect), then that would be different. He wouldn't be purposely putting her in that situation.

Yeah I see where you are coming from. I think she should find out in some way and confront him about it and have him be honest, but she has to find out on her own.

I'm 21, and I say we should wait for it...

As much as I'm starting to adore Shules (the last scene really did me in), I think it's better to test the waters a bit. Psych will only be in its fourth season (here's hoping it goes 900 more), and if Shawn and Juliet get together now, the writers throw away a strong storyline for the upcoming season. That storyline being Shawn with Abigail (that is if they bring her back, which I assume they will), and Juliet on the end where Shawn has been the whole time ... wanting Shawn.

Shawn has been wanting to be with Juliet, but she didn't want him. Shawn may still want her, but he can't let "the girl who got away" go again... can he? Well, sure, of course, he will... just not now, in my opinion.

If we wait for it, I'm sure the series will end with a psych-tastic wedding with Shawn and Juliet at the altar and Gus as the best man. Lassiter will be there too. I just don't know where yet... And of course, it will be funny in that awesome way that is not cheesy or lame (because that wouldn't be Psych!).
