Hey, it is about a serial killer who eluded the police and disappeared, eight years ago. Both Cybil Shepard and Rachael Leigh Cook return as Shawn's mom and Abigail Lyter. So are there any guess on who the Ying Yang serial killer is?

I agree with all of the above, but annual Psych withdrawal? I admire you! I go through it bi-annually, and it never goes away until the next set of episodes starts. We need more!

Well, and another thing is, I wouldn't want any of our favorite characters to be behind it!! Not that I really think they would do that -- but then you never know!

OMG! The preview was so intense! It looks like we're really gonna see the dramatic side of Shawn which we never see. Especially because his mom gets kidnapped as he said in the preview!!!!I'm very excited to see that because James always pulls stuff like this off so nicely!!

I, too, don't want to new episodes to stop!! I've LOVED the second half of season 3!! Season 4 is going to be amazing too!!!

Who is the Abigail girl? I've seen the first two seasons, and from season 3 I've seen 'Disco Didn't Die, It Was Murdered!" on.

She's from the Season 3 episode "Murder...Anyone...Anyone...Bueller?". Long story short, she would have been Shawn's high school sweetheart had he not been a chicken at the time. It was pretty adorable. They reconnected at their 13-year high school reunion.

That would be a pretty cool plot twist. Only thing is, I'm afraid it would wreak emotional havoc on Shawn. While serious Shawn is all well and good on occasion, we don't want him to lose the silly completely!

I agree. It would be cool to be something unexpected, but I hope it's just a "surprise celebrity" as the actor/actress, and it's not someone we know and love already.

To the Abigail ideas, I like it a lot. The fact that she knew what was going on in the chase (I forget who said it) by saying "You're tracking a serial killer" that is very interesting. However, I have 2 objections. A great moment in Psych is all about Shawn's speech to Abigail in "Bueller" episode. I think the fact that she's a serial killer would completely destroy that moment.

My second objection is the whole plot. To my understanding, Ying Yang killer has resurfaced in this episode after eluding capture several years ago. If Abigail is only 30ish years old, then I find it hard to believe that she could have been a serial killer at age 15 or so. Maybe it was only 10 years ago, but still, it could throw off some of the timeline. I thought of Abigail too, but for these points I don't think it could be her.

Also, what is Mr (Ms.? perhaps) Yang's motive for going after Shawn and his mom? This is where I am willing to put some money on a guess. I'm calling that Henry was the officer who almost caught Mr. Ying however many years ago, and Mr. Ying never forgot him. Maybe Henry did something terrible to him (for the sake of the law of course). Now that he's back, maybe he wants revenge and to go after his son. That's what I think. Well I'll post back another time, but please respond!. Cya

That sounds nice, but then we probably wouldn't be "amazed at who it was" as they say if it was some character that's never been developed. But I prefer your theory over the commercial's claim.

Also, I hope the "watching us the whole time" means the episode's investigation, and not like, since the start of the series. 'Cuz that usually only leaves known characters.

maybe this is stereotyping, but wouldn't it be likely Mr.Yang would be Asian?...and if so, I wonder who they cast as him. Gedde Watanabe perhaps?

Also, I believe she's in there, but in the preview after last week's episode, I don't recall noticing Shawn's mom anywhere. I'm wondering how big a role she's going to have in this episode.

Also, where is Gary Cole?..the thing with Jules from the 3.0-season finale never gave us any resolution; no explanation about whether or not she was still seeing him or not. They never explained that. If Shawn and Juliet are going to hook-up, which the writers keep hinting-at, it quite possibly would be in the Season Finale finally. And if that happens, Gary Cole's character you'd have to wonder whatever transpired between her and him.

Also, Steve Franks on the Season 1 DVD commentaries distinctly mentioned something about Shawn and a SURFBOARD were going to be explored IN SEASON 3. Well, here we are at the end of Season 3, and as far as I can tell, no surfboard or surfing has been explored into any of Season 3's episodes. So if it's not done in next week's Season 3 finale, something must have happened. Maybe Season 4?

I'm pretty sure Steve Franks was joking about the surfboard... They just noticed a board in an episode and made up when they were going to delve into why it was there. They also joked about Gus having "shawn vision" which isn't going to happen either.

I can't find the commercial anywhere online, so I've only seen it a few times, but it doesn't say that they have to KNOW who mr. yang is on the show, right? It's just gonna be some celebrity we're surprised with. I don't picture Psych going the 24 route with good guys gone bad. I don't see anyone they could do that with anyways.

My friend and I had a fantastical idea about Bruce Willis and then Jackie Chan if the dude's asian. Frankly, I think that's a good a guess as anyone is going to come up with. In all likelihood, it's going to be an 80s actor I've never heard of and the whole surprise is going to go right over my head.

I'm just going to sit back and be amazed by Roday doing awesome emotional scenes. The guy is amazing.

But even without seeing the promo, from what you guys have said it sounds pretty awesome and tense! I'm glad Abigail is back, I thought she was well played and I felt bad for her not getting to pick up with Shawn where they left off. (even if I am so tickled when there is any shawn/juliet flirting, lol)

I was thinking along those lines, but the whole "you'll never guess who it is!" thing seems to hint at someone we've seen before. So my first thought was George Takei reprising his role as himself. Hey, if 'Harold and Kumar' can kill off Neil Patrick Harris, why can't Psych arrest George Takei as a serial killer?

I think the "Mr. Yang" and "Yin Yang" is meant to mislead... and that it's not someone who is Asian in the least. JMHO.

Oh NO! Who is the killer?

Ok, so I've been spending too much time wondering about the identity of Mr Yang (time I should have been working, cleaning; darn you Psych). I was at first thinking Buzz, but he'd have been kinda young when the killer struck last time around, and I don't think he has the guts (although you never know what is beneath the surface). Then I thought Victoria's dad Irving Parker but he was only around a bit and wouldn't shock anyone except Lassie.
So I've decided it's either Gus's dad or Nigel St. Nigel (yay Tim Curry).

Seriously, I'm jazzed about the finale, and I can't believe it's already time! How come USA network shows have shorter seasons than others? I mean Law and Order and CSI for example have twenty some episodes per season!

Abigail is a school teacher!!! She would not be a serial killer. I think it is Anne Dudek (Lucinda) is the Yin Yang serial killer! We haven't heard from her since the plot. That would be a plot twist if I ever saw one.

Mr. Yang being Victoria WOULD be interesting, but, i think its going to be someone Shawn had harmed or put in jail or something along those lines, and he hasnt done anything to her.

I have a feeling Victoria will be part of the B or C story-line. Maybe she goes to the SBPD cause she's worried about Lassiter and then she meets Juliet or Shawn or something??? I dont think, if she's even in the episode, that she'll play a major role.

I do seriously doubt she's "Mr. Yang" and likely she's just there as a sidenote, but I don't know that I'll be able to stand it if she screws with Lassiter again-especially not right after serving him with divorce papers. It's just inexcusable!

I even went back through the seasons to the people I thought it might be, and checked their IMDB profile and other websites with actor listings to see if their character had been listed as being in this episode. No such luck (though guess if it isn't listed on Psych's profile it wouldn't be anywhere else).
