I don't know if anyone can do anything in time for this since the hearing on this bill is Tuesday 2/10/09 but if it passes the Show Breeders in Illinois could be in for serious problems and have to choose to move to another state in order to show and be part of the Westminster in the future. Ultimately the general pet lovers may have to outside the State of Illinois for their pets and pay much higher prices. Then look out for the other states to be pressured to follow.
Please get this information out to whoever you can that can call their State Representative and tell them to vote NO on this. It is NOT the way to keep "puppy mills" out of business... Over time this could mean the end to Westminster and I'm not trying to be dramatic.
It would be appropriate to get the news media informed on this to get out the word so they can investigate who is really behind this, why and isn't there a better way to achieve what they are trying to achieve.

The objective is noble but the proposed law is unjustifiable in it's current state! Isn't it interesting that they are trying to get this passed so quickly without real public knowledge that it is going on and on the last day of the Westminster no less!!
