You are thinking of Michael Gross from Family Ties, he's been in several CI epi. And it was Kathy Bates is Fried Green Tomatoes.

Can't forget Neil Patrick Harris in Want! He was excellent!

Rita Moreno as Bobby's mother was the best. Those scenes between Bobby and his mother are among my absolute favorites in the series.

That he was smile.gif I thought Stephen Colbert did a really good job, he should really do more serious roles.

The actor's name is Michael Emerson, currently on the show, Lost. He is the husband of Carrie Preston who has made 3 LOCI appearances and currently in the series True Blood.

That was a great performance for Michael Emerson and for VDO, too. In the hotel room, with the gun and children drugged, sent shivers down my spine.

Yeah!! It was one of my favorite episode's!!! There's so many though! Another great actress on LOCI quite often, Jenna Stern!
cpahl2000

John Shea was great too.

Hands down, Martha Plimpton. She rocks whatever part she does on the L&O franchise.

Everyone loves Olivia D'Arbo's brilliant Nicole Wallace always and forever!

Rita Moreno as Bobby's mother. The lady just rocks.

Whoopi Goldberg as that frighteningly unsympathetic foster mother. One of the scariest villians on C.I ever.

And last, Francie Swift as Nelda, I loved her wide-eyed victim facade.
chimera
I thought Neal Patrick Harris and Vincent D'onofrio
played incredibly well off one another. I wonder
if VDO and he talked acting. Harris absolutely
owned the character.
krodgers
Viola Davis in Badge! Awesome!
lovebug
I loved Rita Moreno, would she be considered a guest star? Her episodes with VDO are fabulous-they have so much chemistry together, like they've known each other forever like a real mother and son!

I'd like to see Virgina Madsen as a guest star.
cpahl2000
Griffin Dunne was great too. I loved his episodes with Chris.
krodgers
Lou Diamond Phillips would be a good guest star! He was awesome on SVU! smile.gif

I would absolutly love to see somebody from Harry Potter or Lord of the rings Guest star on LOCI or SVU.

Neil Patrick Harris will always hold a special place in my heart because of Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. So he's automatically my favorite, followed closely by Stephen Colbert (whom I've MET!)

Oh, and I'm not sure if anyone on here has seen the EXCELLENT A&E series Nero Wolfe, but the woman who played Nelda Carlson was a regular in their ensemble cast, and she's really an excellent actress.

No, didn't know that! I think Viola Davis is awesome! smile.gif

Has anyone noticed besides me, how many red-head's there are on LOCI? Even the girl's who are extra's? Nothing wrong with red head's, but I just find it quite unusual, maybe Dick Wolf loves red headed women! unsure.gif
krodgers
Who's the dude who played in the endgame, and Goren wrote him. Was it ernie or artie? Help me out guys! He was put in jail by Goren I think for embezzlement maybe? unsure.gif

His name is "Mark Lynn Baker"

It was actually a insuraunce scam to get 15 million dollars. Walley Stevens (Mark's charecter) wanted the money because it was the only way he knew how to get his wife back (she divorced him and married somebody at her law firm)

I hope that helps. smile.gif

I think the end was fine, not being a real end. Makes you wonder if he even keeps living in NYC or definitely leaves for other shores. I mean, he's always lived in the city, sure he'd run into colleagues 'by accident' or see places reminding him of this or that case/person/event... If he really wanted to turn the page, maybe he would have to leave the city. But it wasn't undoubtly sure how completely he wanted to turn that page. Moving out might be too much. Maybe a short cameo could give some hints, or even a line from someone at MCS, Wheeler getting a postcard from the Grand Canyon?! He's gone touring the States in a convertible, lol... j/k

Anyway, that is so true, about the redheads galore! I've always found it rather amusing. Speaking of hair, you made me think we don't see too many blonde men...

Watching Smile, the black actress at the start of the show who played the kid's mother which died, and people didn't believe her, because "she talked to herself", really would only talk with Bobby was fantastic in her role!
krodgers
I watched Anti-Thesis today, and I'm going with Nicole as best guest star, whatever her real name is! tongue.gif I'd like to see Matthew Modine guest star on LOCI next season. He was awesome on an episode of SVU!
lady_mephisto86
I sometimes lurk on the criminalintent.us board and I read some posts there about who would be great to play Nichols' father. Someone mentioned Alan Alda, I'd thought I'd mention this cause I'd like to see him do an appearance. Mike Farrell was great on SVU so why not?
ciaddict
There have been so many stellar guest stars on this show. So far my favorites are Tony Goldwyn and Rita Moreno.
Kayne

I love the episodes with Bronson Pinchot and Mark Linn-Baker...from Perfect Strangers....The shorter guy(cousin Larry) Eames called, Roberts older, geekier brother, and the other guy, (Balki) was the dentist with the the wife that he poisons...along with his ex girlfriend....grrr..I can never remember the names of the eps.

Heres a pic...may refresh memories...loved, loved this show...funny stuff!

Now down throughout the years CI has had some AMAZING guest stars! I created this one so we can talk about them and maybe some future ones!

Danny Glover & Olivia d'Abo - BEST OCCURING GUEST STARS! I MISS NICOLE WALLACE & DECLAN GAGE!

Non occuring and most memorable. I would have to say that Fran Drescher made a good performace in s6's episode "The War at Home" as the commisoners wife. Oh and Billy Lush when he slapped VDO in s3! "Sound Bodies"?! And Anton Yelchin and Anne Dudek in "Tru Love"

I can't wait to see Mike Glandis in "Love Story" Too bad its N/P and not G/E.
danicharlie
Neil Patrick Harris in Tagman.
jr6020
My favorite quest star on LOCI? This isn't even close. Remember this line? "It was a reflex to his bad manners." Yes, indeed, the great Michael York ("Bernard" from the episode "Slither"). What an episode too...Jim, Columbus, OH
