I don't think that would work. Randy would still have his job in Monkland. If you're talking about Jason Gray-Stanford having a part on Psych, that would be cool, but Monk fans would only think of him as Randy, I think. If he were to play Randy on Psych, I couldn't take that seriously. First off, he's way too goofy for Lassiter to take him seriously, especially as a boss. Second, why would Randy leave his nice job sucking up to Stottlemeyer to work in Santa Barbara? As a Monk fan, I couldn't buy it that Randy would leave everyone in San Francisco to move to Santa Barbara. I'd love a Monk/Psych crossover, though. As long as James helps with the script.
