Well, Karendipitee has had a big day! She starts out early morning posting the new clip preview for us, and then just went off to meet JD and have a picture taken with him. All in a day's work, huh?
I've watched that clip a thousand times. Fi is awesome. She's upset, angry maybe, but not really. She's just doing what she has to do. I love how she gets mad when she yells, "stop saying this is about us, it's about YOU!" And then immediately says, "that's fine." Meaning, God bless her, that she does understand him, knows she can't change him, and doesn't really want to. It's just that, as she says, it's time for her to do what she needs to do. Make a change. Move on. Live her life. She's not getting any younger! She can't wait around for Michael to figure his future out and then see if she might fit into it.
Love that they have Michael looking at pictures of her. It's as if he's up in the loft going through them, thinking about what he's lost, since the end of the last episode. And the she comes in. It's a beautiful scene; painful, but beautiful. And the gun. She needs to "finish packing" and needs her gun with the silver slide. I mean, who are these writers? Brilliant, I tell ya. The parallels you guys have mentioned to Victor having pictures of his family, and now Michael keeping pics of Fi. Dangerous, huh? Maybe he was going to destroy them? Remember from Lesser Evil:
"Spies are supposed to travel light with nothing that could identify them. Some do, but most find that staying sane requires staying connected to something that reminds them why they do what they do. Pictures are particularly dangerous to carry unless the people in them are already dead." And then Michael says, "I never lost everyone I cared about."
Well, it iooks like he's about to...not necessarily to death, but loss is loss.
