Am I having a nightmare, or did I just watch an episode where Gibbs hands over his badge to DiNozzo and quits NCIS?
taylorade
he did turn in his badge, but he will return. although one of the characters in yesterdays episode does leave the series later on.

I figured it out later. I was sick that week at home and watching all the NCIS that USA had on, but obviously, I wasn't sharp enough to check the year of that episode . . . . thanks for replying.

I'm a new NCIS fan within the last 6 months. Could you fill me in more of when Gibbs retired or quit. Was it at the end of season 5? What caused him to quit, and when did he come back? How many episodes was Dinozzo in charge?

I know for my first time posting here, I asked allot of questions. blink.gif

Thanks for your help. smile.gif

Yes in an older episode Gibbs does turn it all over to Tony, and heads to Mexico. But yes, he also returns and is still head honcho of his team.

I'm not real sure honestly. One of the others could probably answer better than I can.

He was probably around for longer.. surely we don't see EVERY day of their lives and every case they work. wink.gif We have to assume that there is stuff in the middle.

no one does.

I hate to say but it is probably true that the show is over without Gibbs.
Although CSI survived the loss of their leader...
I will not be as interested without Gibbs.
We shall see!

I don't think the show would be over (per se), maybe not as good. But then, if the writer's would pull their head out of their butt it would surfice.

I'm not jinxing anything. Simply speaking from when Gibb's left the first time. AND! It is a matter of fact (okay, more of opinion) that the writer's have their head up their butts.

Amanda's right, these writers have been going downhill since Judgement Day. S5 has so far been the best season. S6 has had a few high points but it's been promises only. Expect a shark jump either this season or next unless someone gets kicked really hard somewhere.

I agree; without Gibbs the show goes nowhere
But I disagree about the other
CSI isn't any good any more without Grissom
(yes folks, thought he was hot, too..lol)
So I don't watch the show...
