Have had and opiod addiction to pain pills/street opiods for five years the withdrawl is the most horrble sickness i ever gone through, i couldn't handle it so i got on methadone treatment ill probably be on it for a very long time. Opiods don't just make you withdrawl, they effect you mentally, while your an addict. after a while your not doing it to get high anymore, its just enough to get you well.

I'm sorry. Do you mean 'opiates'?

Yes, it is. Making fun of someone's spelling (and in fact "opioid" is a word, the poster merely missed an i ), when they are publicly sharing a serious and perhaps shameful personal problem is pretty cold in my opinion.

May I suggest that if one has nothing good to say, refrain from saying anything? There are plenty of threads for wit and humor here.

I, too, am a chronic pain patient, and I assure you that it isn't helpful to be laughed at.

1. If they really wanted help, they wouldn't be posting on a message board about a television show.

2. If they didn't want a reaction then they shouldn't have posted on a 'public' message board in the first place.

3. The OP is making a statement. It is our choice whether or not to react to it and how to react to it. And last I looked, she was reacting to my reaction, which was not meant in humor. The way the OP was misspelling things, I was truly wondering if they meant 'opiates'.

I think that sums it up nicely.

Lighten up!

In the words of Robert Frost,,,

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.
