It appears from what I've found on the net that this is a long-withheld pilot for a series. I hope they show more episodes! The premise for the whole story seems completely cheesy, but at the same time it was very creative and fun to watch. Shiri Appleby was ADORABLE, and while her character seems a little neurotic, she isn't painted as this dizzy unintelligent girl that people only keep around because she's a babe. I liked that she was intelligent and talented, but just a bit imperfect and flawed from an everyday social perspective. Being a geek myself, I identify with the 'I've gone through life never feeling like I've fit anywhere' idea.
If USA thinks there aren't enough people to buy the show's cheesiness, they should probably look at how cheesy and WILDLY successful a show like the three CSI series. These shows are supposedly all about crime scene cops using science to catch bad guys, when in reality crime scene units go gather and analyze evidence and share their findings with actual cops who go get bad guys. NOTHING is realistic to me about CSI, and yet tons of people watch it because they like it. I personally can't watch it because it's passed off as a serious and realistic series and can't stand it when it doesn't even closely resemble real life! (So, I watch Law & Order, or some series that doesn't carry a pretense and owns up to it's weirdness--like the X-Files or Monk!)
To Love & Die is produced by a guy like LORNE MICHAELS--you know, Saturday Night Live--and therefore isn't going to pretend for a second that it's story is realistic, but it made me laugh and it was fun to watch this intelligent but silly and totally hot girl hold her own among spook assassins, and I'd love to see more!

I certainly hope it does! It was funny and smart. I don't know about you guys, but I was not disappointed because I didn't expect reality--I'll watch news for a dose of reality.
Thanks USA...with NCIS, Psych, Monk, Burn Notice, House and hopefully To Love and Die...I will never be able to change the channel.

I notice the trolls have spread out to IMDB. Thankfully they haven't hit the other major boards.
A series would be great. I first started watching USA when I heard this was going to air. I have to say it beats all the other series FLAT.
Burn Notice - totally predictable and unbelieveable.
Monk - funny. at times but annoying if you watch it week to week. The only character not annoying is in the end the most annoying - Monk.
Psych - Oy! Nightmare material.
In Plain Sight - The best yet and a nice balance to To Live and Die.
Of course the premise in "out there" but right up there with Lorne Michaels stuff. Impressive acting and stellar cast make it a nice addition to USA for those of us that CAN'T STAND American Idol. USA - run To Live and Die either as a run in to In Plain Sight on Tuesday nights - or vice versa and you might save us from a winter of discontent.

From what I undsestand, this was intended to be a 12 episode series. Its unclear how many episodes were filmed. It would be nice to hear from someone who knows the facts. If there are episodes in the can with no plans to air them, perhpas the network would consider making them available on the website.

I agree, if they don't make it a series, which I hope and pray they do, then it would be really great if they'd at least make the other episodes available on line for us to see. I thought To Love and Die was great, I actually watched both airings on the 30th and was only sad that it was so short. Then I looked it up and saw it was supposed to be a series and was so excited. The premise was interesting despite being farfetched and the actors pulled it off really well. It was very funny with just enough real emotion to make it intriguing. I love Shiri's character, quirky and fun. I really really hope they air more of this series.

Well...I was wondering if the 2 hr premiere was just an illusion cause I didn't see it listed anywhere on USA...but I found the MySpace page where it does say..."Coming In Early 2009"....so I hope it will be back! It was quite quirky and cute!!!

To Love & Die is brilliant !!
This must be the start of another great series by USA.
Shiri Appleby is wonderful as well as the other cast members
as they gel so well for a pilot.
The story line is smart and funny and witty and I love
the Technical as well ie: the gadgets and weapons.
I could watch this every week as well as I will be watching the return of Burn Notice.
The USA team ...... you are on point.

Fantastic new series, would love to see it replace Psyche, a real bomb. Love the tongue in cheek humor and Hildi is a knockout. Great show, keep it coming.

usa didnt do a good job of advertising the 1st episode, i remeber seeing like a 20 second clip months b4 the show even came on. it was just by chance that i stumbled on2 it 1 nite b4 my other show came on. I LOVED that episode, and i was soooo excited thinking it was a series and come 2 find out its just a movie!? WAT? there are so many conflicts that they need 2 resolve! do blue and hildy ever get 2gether? wat about her relationship w/ her father how's that doing? whats going 2 happen when she has to actually kill sum1? how will her mother react to hildy's father walking back in2 the picture? will her sister EVER divorce her husband?!!!!! SO many questions and im 2 cope w/ the fact that its only a movie!!! i cant accept this. im always looking for a new show that catches my eye and this one had me in the very 1st scene, and then u bring mercenaries in2 the picture im hooked. i loved everything about this 'show' it doesn't have stupid special effects everywhere, there is actually a character w/ qualities that are a bit quirky but loveable, and she isn't just some 'ordinary' grl who falls in2 some wacky adventure (not that i mind those characters but this is refreshing change), and they have so many directions that it can take that im not worried about getting bored. anywho ive been reading the forums and checking the site and there are so many mixed messages about whether the show is going 2 keep going as a miniseries and play its episodes (at very RANDOM and varying time) or if the series has been completely cut from the schedule and will soon be forgotten for another show. i really hope not b/c this show looks like it would b a killer in the ratings (if they tried advertising) and i want 2 find out wat happens to these chacters, besides there are plenty of spaces they could fill the show in w/ (as much as i LOVE house i dont need 2 c 3 episodes in a row every night plus a marathon of NCIS) anywhoo ive been rambling for a while, sorry about that. guess im just going 2 have 2 wait and c wat the official word is... if they take the show away i might cry...
