Ooooh, awesome news! smile.gif

Leave it to them, however, to release it the day after my new semester starts and I'm up to my eyeballs in academic reading again. dry.gif

Sometimes, not often, the publisher will release books before the release date. I don't know what is your major but would you prefer to read Shawn and Gus or the anatomy of the human body?
psychfan93
hahaha that's awesome! can't wait to check it out!!!

You know what I was thinking? If they do an audiobook version, they should SO have James Roday do the reading. laugh.gif

The Psych book is already in stores. I found it in a barnes and noble in Encino, ca today. I got the burn notice book and was hoping they would do a Pysch series like they did with Monk. Can't wait for the new episodes and more books to fill in when the show is off!

i wonder is it written by lee goldberg he wrote the monk books, helped with some of the monk episodes and recently i realized that he helped with the writing of some Psych episodes

That would be neat, but I already read mine without James reading it to me. I think it was awesome! I can't wait for the next one which will be release in July!

Nope, but close... it was written by William Rabkin, with whom I wrote the PSYCH episode "Forget Me Not." It's a TERRIFIC book, laugh-out-loud funny, and I strongly recommend it.

I came across the book in B&N today and was really surprised; I hadn't heard about it at all. (Of course, I've been away from the boards for a while -- so long that I forgot my password and had to re-register last night!) I thought I'd come here first and see if it was worth buying. Sounds like it is! smile.gif

whats it about???
DeepPoet117
Does it stay true to the series? The Monk book I read had so many mistakes in it. It had Monk drinking milk for crying out loud! I've never read any of the other Monk books because of all the mistakes in the first one. I don't want to read the Psych book if it has mistakes like the Monk book.
psychfan93
yaaay! i got mine yesterday. i havent stared reading it yet, but here's what it says on the back:

Spoiler:

QUOTE
Trained to be a detective by his father, blessed with astounding powers of observation and deduction, and cursed with a refusal to take anything seriously, Shawn Spencer has convinced everyone he's psychic. Now, with his best friend Gus, he's either going to clean up...or be found out.

With 87 parking tickets to their credit, it dosn't take a psychic to predict what happens when Shawn and Gus go to pick up Gus's impounded car: They get busted. Shawn is convinced they've stumbled across a criminal conspiracy, but Gus just wants to get away intact. Unfortunally, the fleeing Gus is run over by a Mercedes.

When he wakes up in the hospital, things have gotten even worse. Because while Gus was unconsience, Shawn piked up a new sidekick: Tara Larison, a beautiful women who insists she's Shawn's psychic slave...and who won't leave them alone untill she's fulfilled every one of Shawn's desires.

But when Shawn's enemies start turning up dead, the pair must figure out if it's the work of the criminal conspiracy they've discovered-or Shawn's subconsience, sending his new minion out to do his dirty work.
