Well everyone let's hope Joel has a Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And hopefully one Network out there will be blessed with good sense and put him and the gang back on TV where they belong.

Hi and thank you for this reminder ! By the way, would you like to write a kind of "summary" of what fans have done since one year (1st anniversary of the cancellation today) to save the show... I will be very pleased to publish it in savethe4400.blogspot.com ! wink.gif

Hey Pablo this is what I have so far. If I missed anything let me know?

Today's Dec. 18, 2008. One year ago today we received

the official word from Scott Peters that "The 4400" had

been canceled.
Then several of us on the board started posting about

starting a campaign to get USA to renew for a 5th

season. We really needed closure. Ideas were kick

around and sending sunflower seeds and letters really

appealled to everyone due to the success of the Jericho

Nuts Campaign. Our original plan I believe was for

January 2nd, 2008 but many considered it to soon to set

everything in place so the official date was set as

Febuary 2nd, 2008. I contacted some bulk seed seller to

ask if they would help us in our campaign, including

NutOnline, who helped the Jericho campaign. They

couldn't help because they were still recovering from

that. Then I stumbled across Giant Seed headquartered

in Minnesota. You see we wanted a way international

fans could participate and miracle of miracles Tom

Schuler of Giant agree to help. He originally thought

we were loonies but something moved him to help. I

think close to 2000 bags of seeds were sent.
Also thanks to Tom Schuler, Dave Kolpack of Associated

Press did an article on our Campaign in which 4400

Board Members Sandy Williams, 60, of Dardanelle, Ark,

Dee Henke, 57, of Santa Cruz, Calif. and me, June

Terrell,45, of Memphis, Tenn. were interviewed. The

Article, `4400' fans hope to save show with seeds,

posted on Feb. 1st.
On Feb. 12th, 2008 another article, Taste this:
Campaigning to save '4400'
Fans of the axed USA show send in sunflower seeds by

Lisa Snedeker of Media Life came out in which I was

also interviewed. My biggest fear was let me sound

reasonably sane. I wanted people to see us as your

everyday person not a bunch of crazies. There were several more

articles about our campaign also.
We made several more seed/letter mailings and I'm sure

there are still some going on.
We didn't seem to be getting anywhere with Bonnie

Hammer of USA Network so focus was shifted to Jeff

Zucker.
The next big creative effort came from Pablo with his

"Marked" Operation launched 08.08.08.

On June 15th, 2008 while corresponding with Greg Cox,

author of "The Vesuvius Prophecy", I found out that 2

of the 4 books slated to be 4400 tie-in books were

change to be Season 5 books, tentatively titled,

"Promise City" and "Promises Broken", due to the

cancellation. Suffice it to say I wasted no time posting

it for all to see. My personal cause lately is to

convince all the 4400 fans to buy these books. You can

find information about these books in my post pinned at

the top of 4400 forum board. So everyone stay tuned.
