I realize that there are a lot of negative posts on here about the show, but I really like it. I saw the mini-series and forced myself to watch actually, just for Judy Davis. Then I came into the full series with very low expectations, but I'm really liking it. I don't even fast forward to only the JD parts. I lurve Rodney and love the "I love cabbage bit", l lurve Lou and the new Kenny and all the rest of the cast. They all work really well together. It probably helped that I knew coming in that there will be a new Kenny and that Cricket will not be seen (though I didn't know there will be totally no explanation for it) and that the setting will be different, so I wasn't shocked by all that. But I really think that the writing now is more streamlined, more focused and well-rounded. The acting, of course, has always been top notch.
On the other hand, if JD and CD can move on to more erhm... substantial projects, that'll be great too!
But I've become a fan of both and of Starter Wife as a whole..Thanks in advance!
