My favorite is "All Ye Faithful" from season 8. There's lots of good Christmasy stuff in it, like when Bud takes Harriet to the hospital thinking she has food poisoning, but the doctor, dressed as Santa, tells them she's pregnant. When they are all gathered at Bud's for dinner, it seems as if Harm won't make it, but of course he does, so all is well. I love happy endings.

My favorite is "All Ye Faithful" . . . I love happy endings.

Me, too
Don't you just love Ninja for asking such a trick question? - "your favorite episode"
It's sort of like when someone asks, "Which Neil Young album is your favorite?" Since I dislike the feeling of my head being turned into a massive knot - I say the truth, "The one I'm listening to."
You made a great choice with "All Ye Faithful" - but I'm leaning more towards "Answered Prayers" (the Harm/Jen relationship and especially Chaplain Turner's sermon about "forgotten fathers") or "A Merry Little Christmas" (the AJ/Jen relationship and especially Mac's sublimation of self-centeredness when she helped Harm in court ("the kind of man I would want to father my children") and with Mattie's dad at his truck - one struggling soul to another.)
Will you help me to decide?

I also loved "Answered Prayers." You're right, Chaplain Turner's Christmas message was wonderful (though I don't really like Sturgis, but that's a topic for another day...) I had a hard time choosing between that one and "All Ye Faithful." Unfortunately, I can't remember "A Merry Little Christmas" well enough to make a valid determination. Now you've made me want to see it and I can't! Woe is me...Guess I need to break down and buy the DVD's. My favorite episodes are always the ones with good Harm&Mac scenes. I can't remember how Mac helped Harm in court, though I do remember the line about "the kind of man I would want to father my children." The ultimate compliment from a woman.

I don't think there is a bad Christmans Jag eps... that are all so good. But I has to lean towards Jaggle Bells. Seeing the face on the Admiral as he gets one of the only remaining ways out of DC over to Italy is priceless. Especially when moments before, he starts to turn awy from Mac, Bud ( dressed as Santa) and reconciles in his head that he will be stuck in the Jag office on Christmas. Also seeing Bud plap with the remote control toy and runs it ruight into the Adm... also priceless. But there is one scene that I forget what eps it was from... the three middle eastern gents lost trying to find Jag and arrive after the Adm helps deliver little AJ. My memory is failing me a little... that is also a great eps. Need some help guys can someone tell me what eps and the title?

That is from "All Ye Faithful" - season 8. The Admiral has just delivered a baby, but not Little AJ. I can't remember whose baby--a couple passing through Jag for some reason, I think.

Baby Jason was born to homeless "Joseph" and "Mary" Tenney.

I agree - "Jaggle Bells" is a great ep. Thanks for tickling my memory about those comical scenes when frustrated AJ was trying to get Santa Bud to arrange a flight to see his daughter, Francesca - and when Bud was playing with his RC toy (Do you remember when Harm said to Bud "no more Game Boy until you find that witness" ("The Guardian"?)) I also like the part when Harm, Mac, and Parker coaxed Chloe from the elevator roof to discover her father. Mac was so good to setup that sat-link. Harm recently "discovered" his father ("To Russia with Love") and Mac will soon "discover" her father ("Second Sight"). Christmastime is for kids, so I'm happy that Chloe got a good present.

I love the scene in "Jaggle Bells" where the Adm. finds the RC robot and ends up playing with it himself, then almost gets caught by Mac!

Hey Ninja - USA will show "The Four Percent Solution" on 12Jan09
'Though not all that "Christmassy", it was a nice Christmas present.
Mac can't sleep because of PTSS and returns to the shrink, believing that meds will solve her distress. Amidst her anger, she finds moments of peace when she confesses that she always went to Harm in a crisis, that Harm is her closest friend, and that he would never abandon her. Shrinks are not exorcists, so Fate helped with a little bump. Harm foregoes his annual visit to The Wall to be with Mac - their conversation is

Thanks for the heads-up on this episode. I admit to being the one vote for The Four Percent Solution. Other Christmas shows are more pleasant to watch, but being the shipper I am, it was great to see Mac grasp what Harm meant to her, and that sure enough, he cared enough to drop everything to come to her. smile.gif

I don't care for any of the Christmas episodes as much as the others. Too mushy.
Ninja_Girl
You must not be a shipper (those of us who like the relationship angle). biggrin.gif

What types of episodes do you like the best?

BTW, it's good to have you on the board. Welcome.

smile.gif Thanks for the welcome! Great to "meet" with others who share my interest in JAG.

On the contrary, I enjoy the relationship between cast members very much. Their interaction is what raises the series above the other series on the tube. But, the Christmas episodes I've seen so far have been too far from the norm. It seems (to me, and it's just my opinion) that the producers said to the writers "give me a Christmas story" instead of "give me a good JAG involving Christmas".

Not sure if I explained it clearly, but I hope you understand.

And don't get me wrong - I still enjoyed them, but they were WAY down on my list.
