Elliot walked out of the precinct and into the garage to go for a drive. He had just found out Kathy was pregnant and he didn’t know what to do. He wanted to be with Olivia but Kathy couldn’t raise another child alone, plus what about his kids? What would they think about a bastard farther that their mother left, then he got her pregnant, and then didn’t come back to them? What could he do? He needed to drive, he could tell Kathy about Olivia but then she would be just like Kathy, the competitive, Kathy that he fell in love with and tell Cragen. He couldn’t risk losing Liv as a partner; she was the only thing he could look forward to at work. Sure he could be assigned a new partner but work wouldn’t be the same. No, he couldn’t tell Kathy, but he was a good Catholic, he had to break up with Olivia, his sweet beautiful, Olivia. She was so good to him, when Olivia found out Kathy had filed for a divorce from Myra Dempsey’s lawyer she had taken him out for coffee and they set up living arrangements. He didn’t think he would end up falling in love with her. As Elliot slowed the car down he noticed he was on the street his church was on. Elliot found a parking space and walked into the church.
Elliot Forgive me farther for I have sinned
Farther Edelen Elliot! How about we go some where more private?
Farther Richard Edelen led Elliot over to the chapel but he turned to go out to the rock garden. (Fun fact that is my pastor and the layout of my church) Elliot walked up to the pond of holy water and dipped his hand in it did the sign of the cross and sat down.
Elliot Forgive me farther for I have sinned
Farther Edelen Elliot, why are you saying you have sinned?
Elliot Because, I have. I need someone serious to talk to, why are you being so friendly to me?
Farther Edelen Because, Elliot, you are my friend
Elliot I don’t know what to do
Farther Edelen To do about what?
Elliot Well, Kathy told me she wanted a divorce about two years ago, but I just found out that she is pregnant, but now I have a great relationship with a very nice woman, I don’t know what to do I know Kathy can’t take care of another child, sure she has Maureen but that child, that child needs a farther. But I have known this woman for a very long time and when Kathy threw me out I discovered that I have loved this woman for a very long time.
Farther Edelen Elliot, you sound mad, are you mad a Kathy? Are you mad that you have a flourishing relationship with this woman, and know Kathy comes back into your life carrying a child, and now you feel obligated to take responsible for this and go back to Kathy, despite the fact you love this woman?
Elliot What do you mean, carrying a child? That child is MY child!
Farther Edelen Elliot, two years is a long time to carry a child, unless Kathy is carrying another man’s child or you are not telling me something
Elliot *deep breath in, out* Well I recently slept with Kathy, she told me to stay and I got swept up in the moment and forgot about my relationship with Olivia and then she told me to leave, and just today, about 30 minutes ago she told me she was pregnant, I don’t know what to do!
Farther Edelen So this woman’s name is Olivia? I think that you need to make your own decisions, Kathy or Olivia. Elliot you have to choose.
Elliot Will you repent my sins?
Farther Edelen *chuckles* Well if you call being human a sin, Elliot, you are trying to be a perfect Catholic, stop trying so hard, you are a good human being, you need to make a choice not come in for confession, it is like damming your self, this isn’t a sin, it is just a bad choice, we all make mistakes.
Elliot thanked his priest and walked swiftly to his car. During the confession his cell phone had vibrated, it was probably work, what did he do now? Elliot turned the key in the car, and started off in the direction of the precinct. Elliot pulled out his phone and noticed it was a text from Olivia
Hey, Cragen wants you.
But I have the day off

Elliot was excited, Liv had the day off! Elliot was praying for the day off as he pressed 2 on his phone Liv picked up on the first ring
Olivia Hey Sexy where did you hurry off to? You took the car, I had to take a cab. I owe you 15 dollars.
Elliot had a feeling in his gut. He didn’t know what to do, If he chose Kathy he would have to end the most beautiful thing he had, he couldn’t lose that
Elliot Oh, nowhere, do you know why Cragen wants me?
Olivia Dunno, he didn’t seem pissed, but he looked like he was on a war path.
Elliot Do you think he found out about us? Maybe that’s why he sent you home. Oh God.
Olivia Elliot, don’t worry. If you don’t remember, I’ll remind you, that damn bastard shot me in the wrist. I am stuck with paper work until it heals, today I finished my paperwork early so he sent me home. Its okay.
Elliot Well I’m pulling up in front of the precinct now, oh yeah, for dinner, do want to get some pizza or something?
Olivia Yeah, at that pizza place?
Elliot Sure thing. I love you, bye
