What type of food does Monk cook at home???

Does he still prefer his food to not touch each other???

If he warms up peas or corn, does he make it an even number?

Does he eat spam????

Does he eat rice pudding (after all it's pudding and rice mixed together, right)?

When he boils his food, does he wash it before it goes into the pot and after he takes it out of the pot?

Does he use cream and sugar if he drinks coffee.

I don't know how to cook so what are some type of Monk recipes do you think Monk cooks at home?

I may try one of the recipes (if it's easy enough to prepare) the next time a watch a Monk episode or for the next show.

Thanks.

This is the biggest coincidence ever...five minutes ago I was thinking about posting about Monk's diet, but something told me not to! I was wondering this same thing. I remember awhile back, someone started a post about a Monk party: what you would eat, games you would play, etc. I really can't think of any specific recipes off hand, unfortunately. We suggested things like eating stuff in groups of ten, forgoing anything with milk, maybe eating off of a sectioned cafteria tray wink.gif Maybe google "Monk message board Monk party" and a result will come up from this forum. I'll come back to this post, so I can find a recipe that will be suitable for the Monk holiday episode premier next week.

I know this is incredibly bland, but that's Monk (not to say that he's a bland guy, just a guy with bland preferences).

~Elbow Macaroni (spaghetti can be different sizes and rotini curls in different shapes). Do not serve it with any sauce. It is incredibly difficult to get sauce to evenly spread.

~Boost your immune system (minus the wipes) with a tropical salad. Use spinach, not lettuce, because it is too irregularly shaped. Put on top pinapple (rings, not the chunks: they're more perfect), almonds, chicken in some sort of pineapple teriyaki marinade (the lighter in color the better, wouldn't want to spill it on your shirt). Add melon, or strawberries if its in season.

~Baby Carrot Sticks: they're usually shaped very similarly.

~Forgo a big item (like a quiche), and try mini quiches, that way you can have ten of them. They usually have them in the frozen foods section.

~For Dessert: M and M's (amazingly fun for Monk to sort by color), and a Toaster Streudel (it's alright if you don't have a 30 year old toaster like Monk does)

Avoid Serving:

~Pork (At a pork bbq in Hawaii, the roasted item turned out to be a man!)

~Milk of course!

~Homemade cookies-not exact enough in shape, better to stick with storebought.

~Rabbit (Monk's phobia number I forget! But I would NEVER eat rabbit anyway, because I have two adorable ones at home!!!)

Have you been poking around in my kitchen? This list looks awfully similar to my grocery list. tongue.gif
