I was so looking forward to watching Jag in real time today since I'm home from work for the holiday. Instead, an NCIS marathon! I wish, wish, wish the schedule would stop changing. I need order and continuity in my life!

I need order and continuity in my life!
I prefer order, as well.
What I do:
Go to USA network schedules (http://www.usanetwork.com/schedules/sched.php/sched.php), and then
Type "JAG" in Search window > move bullet to month of interest > enter
November's schedule was available in early October (no JAG on Veteran's Day)
Although the schedule may change, it is a good place to start.
If you look at the JAG schedule for November's and December's holiday periods, you might avoid the long lines for ECT

Was anything ever shown about the Admiral's retirement? I know this has been discussed before on the board but I'm not sure what actually happened. I was a regular viewer back when Jag was on CBS, but I think all of this was happening after the move to Friday night. I missed quite a few episodes then (before the marvelous invention of the DVR!) and I was hoping to fill in the gaps with the USA replays. USA seems to be mixing up the episodes lately which makes me crazy!

AJ's retirement was shown in "Hail and Farewell (1)", which is scheduled for replay on 09Dec. He kept the venue he had intended to use for his wedding reception and used it for a Dining-Out. This is a very formal ritual where military wear dress uniforms, an exquisite dinner is served over many courses - fruit cup > soup > appetizer > entrée > salad > dessert > nuts (hence the phrase "soup to nuts"). Since each course is accompanied by a different wine, it becomes an increasing challenge to balance enjoyment of food and wine with military bearing and etiquette. Therefore, to keep everyone on their toes, periodically, someone is picked on for light-hearted humiliation and he must stand and say something to amuse. Anyhow, near the end of the evening, AJ quietly walked away while everyone else was involved in personal conversations. I imagine he took a tour of Major League baseball fields, ending at Fenway Park where the Red Sox won their first World Series (in 2004, when AJ retired) since the "Curse of the Bambino" began in 1918.
BTW - I hope your "craziness" lasts a bit longer - it is a nice opportunity to discuss JAG with you - so bring it on.

Being a big baseball fan, I remember imagining AJ smiling as his little prediction in "Hail and Farewell 1" came true - the 2004 Red Sox broke their curse in St. Louis by beating my Cardinals in 4 games straight.
I always enjoy watching John M. Jackson's son Conor play for the Arizona Diamondbacks. The kid can hit.
Thanks for the info on Dining Outs. Very interesting, especially the soup-to-nuts factoid. I always wondered where that phrase came from.

Thanks for the great information. I think I must have missed that episode the first time around. I'll look forward to seeing it on December 9. I'm glad to know they provided some sort of closure. I don't like not knowing all the details. I'm a little obsessive, I guess...

Being a big baseball fan . . .
Thank you for your correction about where the '04Sox broke the curse. I am ignorant about what/where actually happened - my interest in the Red Sox ended when they threw Roger on the trash pile after the 1996 season. Thanks to the Internet, I was able to "attend" most of his future starts in Toronto, New York, and Houston.
And, thank you for observing that AJ made a prediction that came true. JAG is truly magical. Perhaps you can help me with a pesky question. When DJE was giving TV interviews to promote JAG, he alluded to the fact that some eps had foretold events that came true. No worries, if you can't recall - there are other things about JAG that we can discuss.
BTW - one of my fondest memories is of the time I spent in your Botanical Gardens in St Louis.

"Crazy" I can handle (I have tons of experience being crazy) - but "obsessive", too? Perhaps you can help me - does my having a "pesky question" and wanting "closure" about DJE's comments qualify me as "obsessive"? I was not aware that I had caught that disorder. Your diagnosis is important - perhaps I should "take some time in serious self-reflection" (Catherine Gale in "Pas de Deux").

I don't want to diagnose you, as I am a librarian, not a psychiatrist, but I have to say it sounds a little obsessive to me! However, I consider that a good thing. What kind of Jag fans would we be if not a little obsessive?

With all respect - perhaps your will consider starting a new thread. If you wish to discuss DPB's new alter-ego (General Cresswell) from season 10 - pick something about which you are passionate - cite examples from JAG or a life experience - and I'll go swimming with you.

Thanks for going to the trouble of listing the Jan. & Feb. listings. For some reason, clicking through all the links to get to the JAG schedule is something I put off, then never do. Later I notice that a show was on that I would have liked to record to see at a decent time of day.

How nice to talk "JAG" with other fans! Upon checking the rest of October, I see the show is only on this coming Wednesday morning starting at 10 A.M. I wrote to USA's contact center and requested MORE JAG - we shall see what comes of the request, if anything.
Yes, the DINING-OUT re: Adm. Chegwidden's retirement was fantastic. I had never seen anything like it, either.
I cannot get over how superb the writing is for JAG. And of course, the acting is simply outstanding. Shows today, other than the spin-off, NCIS, should take lessons - or else hire these writers. I cannot, nor will I, ever watch a ridiculous "reality" show! Sorry if I offend anyone with that remark, but it is my humble opinion, particularly when we can watch our beloved JAG reruns!
