I thought I read months ago that Judy Davis was doing 8 of the 10 episodes. I'm glad you confirmed it's 8 not 3. Why Variety (your industry's trade paper) listed Davis as being in only 3 in its review of the new series -- and this was perpetuated throughout the web on IMDB.COM, etc... is beyond me. That bit of info should have been corrected by USA Network as soon as the erroneous info appeared. The FAQ from McGibbon and Parriott is welcome and a good start. Hopefully, there'll be more of these FAQ's coming in the future. Although, you've got many unhappy fans weaned on the original mini, you do have new fans of this new "Starter Wife" series......win some, lose some. If I were you, I'd concentrate on gaining new fans instead of trying to win over fans of the old. You can't win when they want the original cast back unchanged.

TV critics are praising this new version of the "Starter Wife" and there's talk already of EMMY nods for this as well on the Goldderby.com forums (run by LA Times). So I wouldn't get totally despondent over the number of "negative feedback" posts here. Go look at other places on the web and you'll find fans of this new "Starter." Hopefully, you'll get another shot from USA to make some adjustments with a series renewal. Good luck! And yes, tell USA Network to lose the millons of "Starter Wife" ads that keep running over network broadcasts. We are not blind and deaf!

I am sad to hear that Joe M's character "Lou" will only be in 3 episodes. He is the best part of this show outside of Debra Messing. Please consider asking Joe to fit this show in his busy schedule more frequently.

I think that you should have done something to let us know about Cricket leaving somehow and Lavender should have stayed because she was one of the reasons that made Molly Molly. It was because of those friends that helped her through.

I love the show! The season has flown by. I like all the actors. Of course, I like some characters and story lines more than others. I do like the new Kenny, the new actor has changed the personality of Kenny. He is not so easy to dislike. I kind of think the stories are changing too fast. That might be the goal. I'm in hopes you will keep Molly and Zach together. I feel like she has cycled through too many men she doesn't seem to meet a man that doesn't want her. I really like Hart Bochner . He brings a lot of dimension to his character.
Thanks for a great season. Can't wait until next season

Can you tell us when the new season will start and what characters will be returning?

This was great information. It's always good to hear what's going on behind the scenes.

Really enjoy Starter Wife. Debra Messing is perfect for the part. Excellent cast, everyone fits so well. I record the show and watch it. Have been telling all my friends about it, so I hope the series carries on. Need to find new ways of promoting the show, who watches commercials any more. Try radio commercials, most people tune into their radios on their commute.
