This is the first episode I've seen, 10/10/08....
But some of the posts sound like it's not the first season??
Well, in any case, I love this show!! It is fun, fast and edgy!!
It reminds me of where my daughter lives inParker, CO or maybe more correctly of where she formerly lived in AZ!
And as a show it reminds me of "Weeds" and "Fat Actress" two hilariously funny and "edgy" shows that were on Showtime.
USA is pushing the envelope, and I am so glad I am watching!!!!
Debra Messing is fantastic, the writiers and locations are great, photography top notch: I LOVE IT!!!

There was a previous season with some different actors (most dramatically a different actor playing the ex husband). It was written a bit plot heavy and character thin. I was dubious watching the first show of the second season tonight, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Debra Messing is doing much better with a much better script and great direction and costuming. Even if the show is produced to mimic Desperate Housewives now, I don't watch Desperate Housewives any more. This show I'd watch. The characters are funny without being too ridiculous. You have interesting subplots now that have nothing to do with the main character. I love that you have a sexy actor playing the gay guy, and he even has sex (though not with appropriate partners or on screen, but still). The ex-drunk girlfriend has depth instead of being just cranky and bitchy all the time. And the writer love interest is a much better choice than the hobo. I couldn't turn it off until it was over, even when a show I love came on halfway through. You've got a winner. Keep it real and funny and don't lean on farce, please.

This show sucks. The star is ugly, the story mundane, the writing horrible. I'm not sure why people would watch this show except if they are really bored or stupid. If you love this show maybe you are bored and stupid. Sorry, that's the truth. I would really like a direct link to the producers so maybe I can get them to at least change the show if not quit making it.

This is the second season. You can watch the first season online. It was so much better than this one. I think I was disappointed becasue they left us hanging with so many unanswered questions that they did not address at all. But if you liked this episode you should defiately watch last seasons.

A better script? You are joking right? The first season wasnt that great but was way better then this season. How can they run this show with so many character changes. I mean come on. Her husband that dumped her was this short snotty, arrogant, hairy little wizzle of a man the man they have playing the character now cant be more different. He is actually cute and tall too. I mean some of the things that made the first season good was this little man that had this big head. It makes no sense. So thats why someone that didnt even see the first season can come on here and say , "I love it", cause you had nothing to go by to be disappointed in, so ...go watch the first season and then you will see why all these people that have been coming on here are basically saying the same thing. That this season stinks.

I have loved this show ever since it had it was a mini series!!!! I think that it has great actors, but I hate that they changed the Kenny character from the mini series to the one he is now. I think that he should have stayed the same, if the rest stayed the same.

This show just gets better. Millions of people are watching this show and you have like 20 people on these boards trashing the show. Yes there are a lot of commercials and 'pop-ups'. Get used to it people. All cable channels do it. These are the days of Tivo- don't like it, turn off the tube and get a life. Don't you have something better to do with your day than going on message boards and bitching about something you will never be able to change? Jeez. Its TV PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

I love watching this show. I love it when Molly daydreams and goes into another world. I also love Joan and think her alcoholic friend is especially sexy for an older dude. I do think though Joan's husband might be up to something allowing her to have an affair. Knowing him he will eventually get bothered by the fact she's having sex, catch it on tape and divorce her and take everything from her, house, money, etc...... he's setting her up.

Please tell me that Joan is coming back?! Though i loved this episode and thought it was funny, I still missed her character

You can keep those daydreaming/dream scenes coming, thats my favorite part! Molly is hillarious and Joan completes her.
By the way i have feeling that Kenny is the one who stole Molly's journal and is setting her up

Good Point - but wasn't it a woman's hand that took it out of her purse ???

I love Debra Messing in this role!

She is perfectly convincing.I feel her pain as well as her excitment. The best part about the story line is that all of these type of drama issues do occur as a viewer this show helps me understand that everyone has a past, a present and a future and it is up to (only) me to make myself happy. --- Even if that means making a few mistakes along the way. I love how refreshed I feel after one of the episodes but I always am anticipating the next one.
