Never saw lipstick jungle. I wanted to like My Own Worst Enemy. The premise was interesting. It just didn't hold my attention. the coolst part for me was seeing Mike O"Malley playing a serious role and not comedy. At first I wasn't even sure if it was him or not.
Anyone watch "Ghost whisperer" w/ Jennifer Love Hewitt? Nice mindless entertainment until
Spoiler:
They killed off her husband!!!!

I couldn't even watch it last night. It was too sad.

I used to watch Ghost Whisperer all the time. And I like...oh idk the name right now...the psychic chick who's husband was in the LOCI episode One. I really liked both of those...but for some reason I quit following them...
These days I am doing online scrabble at this website I found. I have always like scrabble and this is very addicting. Since I am up all night anyway, this is a fun thing for me to do.

I just have to tell about this one scene (although seeing it is SO much better). The two detectives arrive at a crime scene at a drug research company and find a researcher frozen solid, holding an oxygen mask to his face. Seems he would use oxygen when he was working long hours to give him energy. But someone replaced his oxygen with liquid nitrogen and he froze when he inhaled it. Very freaky looking. While his partner is talking to the owner of the research company (played by the creepy veterinarian from Zoonotic), Crews is looking over this frozen man. He takes his pen out and very gently touches it to the guy's cheek. And he cracks and shatters into millions of pieces! The look on Crews' face is priceless. His partner looks at him and says, "Do you have to touch everything?" I thought that was truly a Goren/Eames moment! Later, back in the squad room his captain tells him, "CSU had to bag every piece separately. You might want to send them something." Have I mentioned that I love this show?

That episode was the 1st one I ever saw of Criminal Minds......I really liked that episode.....and ITA, that is DEFINITELY a Goren moment, who couldn't see him doing that? tongue.gif

Hmm..online scrabble sounds fun. Have you tried online Sudoku? It's a master of time-suckage as well!

Does anyone watch "The Office"? That is the only other show I try to plan my schedule around to watch...other than LOCI, of course! biggrin.gif
I watch ER, too, though sometimes I'll flip back and forth between that and something else. I'm ready for that show to end, but I feel compelled to keep up with the story line for some reason.

I like Criminal Minds a lot to,although lately I have drifted away from it. Need to get back to it. Other than LOCI I watch a lot of news but that isn't as exciting as it was. I enjoy Jon Stewart, Bill Maher and the new kid on the block is D. L. Hughly Breaks the News. He is funny with a note of seriousness here and there and I find I'm looking forward to him on the weekends.

Before i became addicted to CI AND this board i was addicted to an on-line word game called "Tangleword". Anyone here ever play? It was based on boggle i guess. you would have a 5x5 (I think) letter grid as the board and you had to make as many 4 or more letter words out of connecting letters in a round with a set time limit. it was a multiplayer game and you could chat between rounds. it was a lot of fun, very addictive (talk about time suckage LBD!) and I met a LOT of very nice people there. It was a free game first on playsite, then iwin.com but they discontinued it and I still miss it.

I used to play 'poppit'. I played other games, but the names escape me at the moment. One of them was a candy game, 'sweet tooth' maybe? (one was with a bee, one with a beaver)
I also used to play the games that they have on the lifetime forum.

yes. I'm into designer jeans. I've been into them for years. And now, I actually work for one of the companies (and I got free jeans the first day biggrin.gif )

I also like gossip sites (like 'crazy days and nights'- they have a section called 'Full frontal friday' blink.gif )

I play a similar word game on my Facebook. I think its scramble? Same game, different name. Keeps track of your score and your friends. There is a bowling game, a geography game and a couple other word games...on my Facebook that my sisters (who are all out of the state I live in) and friends and I challenge each other at.

I am really into Chuck, Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies and Supernatural.

Chuck--The show just rocks. Adam Baldwin should win an Emmy!!

Eli Stone--I still love this show, I kinda miss the musical numbers but I love the direction they are taking the show with splitting the firm.

Pushing Daisies--Where are the people, why doesn't anyone else watch this brilliant show sad.gif. Lee and Chi are such amazing actors, it's too bad more people aren't turning in.

Supernatural--Seriously it is hard to believe that they are in their 4th season. This show is one of the most intense yet at times one of the most comical shows on the major networks. The way they have introduced the angels and that whole storyline has been incrediable. Seriously, if you haven't seen the show you should check it out.

I still love it, but I really think NBC is sabotaging it. They keep moving it around to make it hard to find and now it's on opposite Criminal Minds. I had just started to get into Criminal Minds and now I have to choose between it and Life (Life wins), but I know it's got a solid following.

Did you see the scene a few weeks ago with the frozen guy? That has to be one of the all-time great scenes ever!

I say, go with the Mardi Gras story. LOL My philosophy is, have fun with it! For instance, I have a scar right down the middle of my forehead. I wear bangs so most people never see it, but every once in a while someone asks me about it. I like to tell them I was on this wild acid trip and got the idea that I could open my thrid eye... manually. You should see the looks on their faces! LOL What really happened was, I was a clutzy little kid and ran into the corner of a door so hard I split my forehead open. I think I was 4. But isn't the first story more fun?

Maybe make up a story about how you had a bet going that you could get the most beads...

Been watching a lot of CSI: NY lately, Spike TV has had marathons all week. I never got hooked on the CSI franchise, but I'll watch NY. (Maybe it's the whole New York thing, like to go sometime) Love Danny and Sid, those glasses of his crack me up everytime biggrin.gif

I'm really into LOCI (of course!), Law & Order (mothership), Eleventh Hour, Deal or No Deal, Monk (so sad that Monk is ending after the 8th season... sad.gif ), Psych, SVU, CSI: Miami (I know most people don't like H. He's okay for me... The sunglasses on and off is getting old, but I watch it for Calleigh (Emily Procter)... Although if you think about it, if VDO did the sunglasses on/off thing, we would love it... (I love it when Goren has sunglasses on!),
Crusoe, CSI (original - just started watching this season), Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader, Burn Notice (I just started watching this past season after seeing a marathon... Now I'm addicted...), and Prison Break (I started watching two seasons ago. My co-worker got me hooked on that show...)

As far as cancelled shows go, I was really mad when NBC cancelled Journeyman... Oh, and I LOVED The West Wing, but I knew it was time to end the show... But I was still sad...)

Oh man. The West Wing was my favorite show of all time. You forget just how great it was, the writing, the acting, and then Bravo will do one of their marathons and I find myself wondering why no one does it that well anymore.

Ya, I thought it was time to end it when they did too... but then the last season was so strong. Didn't you find you wanted to follow the Santos administration too? I did anyway.

A couple of years ago my mother gave me the complete boxed set for Christmas. I still usually have one of those DVDs in my bedroom player... waiting for a night when I have trouble falling asleep and want to watch something great.

*passes the ashes and sackcloth* Amen. Although it's only 99% confirmed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a holiday miracle, but as you can tell I'm not holding my breath.

What makes it so bitter sweet for me is that they ax'd Pushing Daisies (which I love) to put Scrubs on, another show I love and got a bad ending. But WHY! Why whywhywhy.

You were right on all counts--great documentary, terrible, shocking, tragic, and it did make me cry. I remember watching the news and reading about it and of course all those pictures of dead bodies. But there was so much I didn't know about it. And I didn't know that there were audio tapes of Jim Jones telling everyone that it was time, and even him talking and urging mothers to take "the medicine" with their babies as it was being given to people. Chilling.

The Teenager watched the last 45 minutes or so with me and she had never heard of Jonestown or Jim Jones. She couldn't believe that over 900 people committed suicide. She said, "Please tell me that guy is dead."

I was watching TCM's Elvis Mitchell Under the Influence last night and thought he HAS to get VDO on that show. A full half-hour one-on-one just talking acting. It MUST be done!

On a totally other note.... watching The Amazing Race and wishing there were an episode where Goren and Eames have to go on that race. That would be so much fun to watch!
krodgers
Well, I like the Ghost Whisperer, and I'm pissed they killed Jim, but last night he went into another dead guy's body, so he doesn't remember anything, but Melinda knows, I saw on the internet fanantic's were really mad about Jim being killed off, so that's how they are bringing him back, I think. I'll stop running my mouth about that show now. huh.gif

Is it me or Friday and Sat nights, really suck on TV. Anyone watched, TNT's RAising the Bar? I was starting to like that, then it stopped, don't know if it was canceled or end of their season. update: Raising the bar will be back next summer/
VDOVault
None of the shows I watch have new episodes right now...Mad Men, Burn Notice and of course LO:CI are between seasons. I am of course bummed that we have to wait for LO:CI but that may prove to be a good thing if all hell breaks loose with SAG...then I won't be distracted by VDO playing Goren and everyone else playing their parts and can focus like a laser on what has to be done to get CI back in production and uninterrupted by labor disputes...that would be the best thing for everyone.

I randomly take breaks and watch TCM a lot. I like the Elvis Mitchell Under The Influence interviews would love to see any or all of the CI cast members appear on it or even better do one of those nights where they sit down with Robert Osborne (the host of TCM) and pick out 4 movies for us to watch...wouldn't you all kill to know what VDO would pick? I am insanely curious what his evening of films would consist of wink.gif

NCIS is pretty good, I'm not a huge fan but mom is so whenever she's watching, I just zone in and out. There's a couple of episodes that I love though.

Is it me or Friday and Sat nights, really suck on TV. Anyone watched, TNT's RAising the Bar? I was starting to like that, then it stopped, don't know if it was canceled or end of their season. update: Raising the bar will be back next summer/

Fridays suck for me too, I used to watch a few anime shows then but the network went and changed it to showing crappy teen movies. They do show a couple of anime shows on Saturday night but not as much as they used to have it on Friday's. Used to like watching CI on Saturdays, got lucky one time, CTV was supposed to show a episode from S7, but someone goofed and aired Blind Spot (!!!) - I really need to brush up on S6 episodes. . .

Me too! I just registered last night and I can't figure out how to manuver around the site. And I keep getting messages that people are sending me things and writing on my wall (I have a wall? and why are people writing on it? blink.gif ) and I'm SOOOOOO confused.

Tonight at home I'll have to sit down and play with it and try to figure it out. I just don't get all this new-fangled stuff. When did I become my grandmother? unsure.gif

haha...you sound like my sister. Myspace is so much easier to work with. The old facebook style was cooler. I have a bookshelf and a music section...but its hard to find stuff and everything is so...generic...the old facebook was better becuase you got a feel of who the people were, but what their page looked like. My myspace makes it pretty obvious who and what I am into. I like getting some of the surveys at myspace too, which they don't have on facebook. Lets people voice their opinions and such.

When I sign up at other sites, I try to stick to "flashymom" not too many people use that....so if you see "flashymom" holler at me, cuz it just might be "me"! biggrin.gif

About your shopping: buy milk cuz it's important; hubby loves you with or without perfume (mine loves the smell of baby powder...); and if you put off buying new jeans just a little bit longer, maybe you'll need even smaller ones! biggrin.gif

I will keep my eyes out for ya. I usually go to the room titled Coffee House.

Thanks ci I feel better now knowing that I'm not the only one. I don't have these problems with myspace.

I don't either. People leave comments or messages and it is all drawn out and easy to find. Plus you can design your own backgrounds for your page and put more of yourself into it at Myspace.

Hahahaaaaaahhaa...yeah, go with the beads story, much more fun!

Off topic reply to cousin: I think we're caught up now, right?

Right now I'm watching "Witness to Jonestown" on MSNBC (thank you PFC for the head's up).

I watched part of it, but had to change it. It was making my stomach hurt.

I am insanely curious what his evening of films would consist of

The Vault

Hey Vault. smile.gif
I too would like to know what movies they would pick. I have seen that show many times. I like TCM too.
krodgers
Vault, where have you been? Glad you're back! I too love NCIS! I really liked Saving Grace on TNT. I think it's coming back in the summer, along with The Closer.
