Full Version: The Best Episode So Far This Season

Since now eight episodes have now aired and now have to wait until December for the Christmas episode (Dang, that is long but worth it), which episode you felt was the best so far this season. I know this will be difficult and I know some feel this season is not what they expected, but personally, I like every episode except for one (Bonus points if you guess which one). I am torn between two episodes: The Greatest Adventure in the History of Basic Cable which had Shawn disabling three bad guys (I still love that!) and the best lines: Mr. Spencer. Yes. I mean the older uh less. Less hair. Less handsome. Less friends on Facebook. Less nose. Ooo! and Gus Walks Into a Bank which had Gary Cole (Man, if Cameron Luntz and Bill Limberg were in a room, who would annoy each other the most) and Alan Ruck!

So it is your turn, which is your favorite this season?

randomly guessing ur least fave: (looking at ur 2 faves,) id say either ghosts, or disco didnt die, it was murdered

as for my fave this season is daredevils. it was potentially the most original ive ever seen (a big chunk of psych episodes are very similar to Monk.)

Well, I'm going to have to be non-committal: I liked all of them, though the first one was my least favorite, the fight in the office building and Gus dragging Shawn was one of the funniest bits of the whole season. I thought, overall, it was a great season.

Murder...Bueller? had one of my favorite funny exchanges:

Jules: Just show me the suspects I need to vet.

Shawn: You don't need to vet anyone. The animals are fine.

This episode also had a sweet/funny moment between the two of them when he's drooling over her outfit and how she looks and he just keeps talking about poufy dresses...

Daredevils was a really different type of episode, IMO, and Shawn showed a softer, gentler side. The stunt outfits and their reactions to being guinea pigs was pretty funny.

Basic Cable--the Less Nose exchange was hilarious.

Disco--the outfits were priceless!

Blood--the sister act was fun and the casting of Vick's sister was brilliant. I liked the fact that they developed Vick's character more.

Talk Derby--I loved seeing Jules do something really fun, especially when she took out that skater at the beginning! LOL! This one also had one of my favorite romantic moments between Jules and Shawn when they're skating at the end and almost...but not quite...holding hands. Awwww! I also liked how they developed and expanded Jules's character in this epi. BTW, I was sure the pineapple was on top of the locker, however, but I guess not...

Gus...bank--oh, maybe I do have a favorite after all and this is it. I loved the Hug. LOL! Alan Ruck and Gary Cole. The whole thing, top to bottom. Shawn's jealousy. Lassiter throwing out the rule book and bootcamping it through the air duct! LOL! And let's not forget...the ZIP LINE! LOL! I liked the fact that they expanded Lassiter's character in this epi, too.

Great show! Great season! Can't wait!

my favs gotta be Gus Walks Into A Bank!!!(in a close 2nd, the Greatest Adventure)
tuesday
I loved Talk Derby, because I love when they get really into a theme (also why I loved Weekend Warriors). And, of course, the Shules moments were fabulous.

Runners up: Gus Walks into a Bank, for the Gus/Shawn hug, and the reunion episode for all the fantastic '80s references.

Murder...Bueller was my personal favorite. Next to that would be Disco didn't die...it was murdered. Great season so far though

My favorite is definetely Gus walks into a bank!

I think my least favorite was there might be blood, I don't know why but it seemed boring to me.

I don't understand why everyone is hating on Ghosts! It's one of my favorite episodes in the season because it's the only one that seems a lot like episodes from the second season where they have random conversations and act childish. But your opinion is your opinion. huh.gif
catcow
the greatest adventure on basic cable.

I agree with you about Ghosts, I enjoyed it. But then, I really like character development, so I liked the introduction of Shawn's mom and that background. Though, on the other hand, I can see for those who like the 'case' part of the episode, where Ghosts may have fallen short... as the whole, 'I set up all the bad things to get a case to save your job' wasn't the most interesting thing in the world... but again, I loved the deeper look into the characters, more about Gus' job, Lassiter getting in trouble for shooting his gun too much and having to see the department psychologist who ends up being Shawn's mom... loved all that.

I would have to place Gus Walks Into a Bank as my favorite... if only for the Shawn/Lassie interaction ("You're so sexy right now!")

Least favorites would be There Might Be Blood (I agree that is seemed slow) and Talk Derby to Me (too much Shules fluff, which just annoys me)

This half-season was full of really good ones, but the ones that stood out were Talk Derby to Me, and History of Basic Cable. I just can't choose. Both had really funny moments, great plots, and awesome interaction/development.

The only ones that didn't meet the Psych standards (still good, just not as entertaining as your average episode of Psych) were THere Might Be Blood, and Ghosts. I just didn't feel that Psych vibe.

For me it's a three way tie between The Greatest Adventure in the History of Basic Cable, Talk Derby to Me, and Gus Walks into A Bank. I JUST CAN'T CHOOSE! unsure.gif

I can't reward you the bonus points because you picked two but one of them is my least favorite.

Gus Walks into a Bank hands down.

There were many great moments, but for overall episode I'd have to say the 70's disco one, followed by the summer finale.

I love 'Murder? Anyone? Anyone?...Bueller?' I LOVE Abigail/Shawn. They really need to bring her back. The dynamic between them is fantastic.

Skunkdog
easily the greatest adventure in the history of the basic cable, namely because it involves pirates, plus it ties for being my favorite episode of all time
