I'm bringing this topic of mine to our forum, because there are several favorites we have seen on practically all LOCI episodes. One of my favs would have to be Roy Schrieder in the infamous Endgame! Yes, I did take this from the NBC board. It seems to do quite well there.

My favorite guest star on LOCI was Chita Rivera as Goren's mother. She did such a great job as a dying schizophrenic cancer patient and provided the perfect opportunity for Goren to both grieve, try to reach his brother again and then wonder deeply if he, indeed, was also a "whack job" - wow!
Also, the animations above are great - does anyone know where VDO is where he's in front of a little white house? I know he lives in Bensonhurst in Brooklyn but can't think that white house is his - or is it?

He was only on once, but I loved Neil Patrick Harris in Want. Even though he was playing a man who did horrible horrible things, he broke my heart. It takes some talent to do that.

I thought I was one of the few who appreciated what a wonderful job NPH did in Want. You're right. What he did was horrible, but he was such a sad, remorseful man that you had to feel sorry for him.
Welcome to the forum Icarus74, hope you enjoy it here - the actress who played Goren's mom is Rita Moreno. She was amazing as Frances Goren, wasn't she?

I can't say that I have a favorite guest but I do love how they bring back old guests into new roles, especially when they are young, like the kid that was on the episode where he was suspected of killing his parole officer, I think you would call her but it was her own brother from the family of Gypsies, well anyway the boy later came back as the gambling addicted guy that was accused of murdering the teacher on the boat. Things like that I look for, and whenever they are in a photo studio, you'll see Vinnies headshots on the walls. It is so funny.

I had no idea David Thornton was a guest on LO: Criminal Intent as a sick man (Kenny Strick) in ‘Maledictus’. I love to see actors (the ones who don't play the seemingly same character in every role they play

) in very different roles. I've seen her play a 'good' cop in a couple of TV movies based on Robert Parker's "Stone Cold" books. She was very different. It took me few minutes to remember where I'd seen her. lol Lou Pucci (?) I did not realize that it was the same actor in "Thumbsucker" and CI's "Cruise To Nowhere". Amy Ryan I didn't realize that she was in "Suite Sorrow" and "Rocketman" until I looked her up on the IMDb after seeing her in the movie "Gone Baby Gone".
Billy Lush who played Connie in "Sound Bodies" is one of my favorites. I don't think I've seen him in anything else. I wonder why? I thought that he was excellent. Colm Meany was very good . His character made my skin crawl.
Neil Patrick Harris was really good too.

I agree. I love it that all three of the L&Os use a lot of the same actors. One of my favorites is Susan Misner. She's played everything from a totally drugged out negligent mom (on SVU, I think) to a nun in LOCI
Acts of Contrition to the very ambitious head of a huge corporation on LO. She's totally believable in every role she plays.
I'm also impressed with Cara Buono who played Charlotte Fielding/Cookie Caspari in
Phantom (one of my all time favorite eppies.) I've seen her in a couple of LO episodes and if I hadn't recognized her voice, I wouldn't have know whe was the same person.

I think Rita Morena was awesome and also Roy Scheiber. I thought they would both be nominated for best guest actor/actress. There was a mystical type of chemistry, an energy flow that passed back and forth between Vincent and a select group of guest stars. You could see and feel that both performers were feeding off that energy and challenging each other to deliver magical performances. Others have already mentioned the guest stars in question: Olivia d'Abo; Tony Goldwyn; Reta Moreno; Roy Shyder; Colm Meaney and John Glover (in Frame).
Other guest stars I particularly enjoyed were:
Bruce MacVittie as Arnie Cox in Semi-Professional
Mark Linn-Baker as Wally Stevens in Probability and Endgame
Billy Lush as Conroy (Connie) Smith in Sound Bodies and ITWSH
Neil Patrick Harris as John Tagman in Want
Lou Taylor Pucci as Joey Frost in Cruise to Nowhere
Missy Crider as Charlene Copeland in Bedfellows
Tom Arnold as Rev. Calvin Riggins in Brother's Keeper
Sarah Jane Morris as Marla Reynolds in Please Note
Christopher Lloyd as Carmine in Vanishing Act
A minor guest star that I would love to see come back as the same character is Jessica Blank as Sheila Dwyer, the Dominatrix/911 Operator in Proud Flesh. Bobby was totally fascinated with her. He was also fascinated with the "domination porno for intellectuals" materials that they found in Dr, Dwyer's apartment in Seizure. (The writer obviously made the connection also.) IMOH Bobby has a secret desire to explore that aspect of his sexuality. Not that they would ever spell it out on the show, but I would like to see her written into another storyline and another interaction occur between them - this time with her as the 911 Operator who is an integral witness in a murder investigation.
I also really liked the Convenience store guy in Betrayed.

I can't choose either! 'Endgame' was so heartbreaking! Roy Schieder's performance should have gotten him an Emmy nomination...
I didn't find John Glover's character of Declan Gage all that creepy in Blind Spot, even though a lot of other people did. However, his work in 'Frame' just blew me away! I get goosebumps just thinking about the last scene: "You're free, now. Bobby, you're free!"
CHILLING!!!!!!!! John Glover should get an Emmy nomination for best guest star...
