I mean, don't get me wrong. I love the show, and the only reason I'm on a message board for the show is that I'm a big fan. But 9 episodes in a season, with a 3 week U.S. Open delay, after a year layover? I don't get it.
I understand that there are other factors at work. Certainly the writers' strike was an issue. Miami shooting can be difficult, I'm sure. But 9? Come on - USA/Nix should be producing shows more effectively than that. I just don't want to wait another year for more BN. I'm sure some people agree with me.
I am, of course, not saying doing something as hokey as a Christmas episode, but I like the USA concept of "Summer Finale". Give us something to wet our whistle.

There are 16 episodes total this season. It's a split season; the first 9 during the summer, the last 7 starting in early 2009.

I understand about the split season thing, but the USA site keeps referring to next week's epi as the "season finale." So which is it? Are they calling the Jan. epis "season 2B" or something?
I hate that next week is the last epi for such a long time...

I completely understand why they split up the season but the USA network is misleading everyone by saying that next weeks episode is the season finale. I found a episode list for season 2 on tv.com. I’m not sure if this is accurate but, here it is.
