Fiona started sounding like she was from ireland for the first 2-3 episodes then it started fading away. I feel she needs to sound irish and not from USA

few things here

1. Accent*
2. She changed her accent to fit into Miami better. i believe the quote was "Can't go around sounding like a bloody leprechaun now, can I?"

I just can't believe how many people don't realize that Irish accent was gone as of the second episode and it was explained!!! "I can't be talkin like a freakin leprechaun..." was one of the best lines of season one!!!

An Irish accent would be too memorable for a gun runner.

The producers dropped the accent after the pilot. They felt it didnt blend in with the tropically backdrop. She sounds much better without it.
