I am wondering if anyone else saw the previews for that new "network" show called The Mentalist??
It looks to be a complete rip-off of PSYCH!!
It is about a guy who pretended to be a psychic, and is now helping the police solve crimes, just by being very observant and noticing things others don't.
Gee, does this sound at all familiar?

I wonder how the creators of PSYCH feel about this new show coming on?

It's too bad the big network is all out of fresh ideas and has to steal them from this great show!!

Yeah, I saw a preview for this show, and all the while, I couldn't help but think of "Psych". I really and truly hope that this show goes in a different direction and doesn't try to just "one-up" Psych. Not that that could ever happen, but still.... I really hope it's different somehow.

I'll admit that when I saw the preview, I rolled my eyes. However, in defense of the show, it doesn't feel like a Psych ripoff once you watch it. Yeah, the guy used to be a fake psychic, but that's not what the show's about. The pilot was all right; it felt like any other procedural crime drama. And it definitely wasn't as funny as Psych.
