... please just take a deep breath and pause before complaining that the Admin &/or USA Network doesn't care about people who've had a problem not being able to log in with their "Original" Usernames ...

For a few weeks prior to the "change" of program, there was a posted announcement about the change in the logging-in procedure and in that announcement, instructions were posted about WHAT TO DO TO ENSURE THAT EVERYONE WOULD BE ABLE TO LOG IN with their Username after the "change" took place.

Even before the "change" took place, I had trouble logging in to this account (cuz I forgot my password and the forum does NOT send the reset-password email to aol accounts). I created a new account and immediately PMed the USA_Admin to see if there was anything he or she could do to send me the reset password email. It took a while. A couple of weeks; and the Admin did reset my password for this, my original account, and sent me a PM to my "new" account with the password. It took a couple of weeks and that was a few weeks BEFORE this "change". At the same time, I asked if the "new" account could be deleted. The Admin told me that, eventually, the posts could be merged into my "original" account.

I'm sure the USA_Admin is busy at work trying to fix the problem. The Admin's PM mailbox has been full ever since the "change" took place.

Rather than ragging on the Admin and complaining that he or she doesn't care about the problems you're having logging into your "original" screenname, just be patient. There must be thousands of people in the same boat ...

Oh, and while I'm here, please don't post on SPAM threads ... just report them as SPAM. Reporting the thread to the Admin gives the Admin a link to the spam thread ...

I tried to log back on with my old userid and password and it failed. So I re-registered with a new id. I just couldn't get it to run so I started over. Onward and Monkward!

Maybe you can put how many posts you had before after your new user name? At least we would know.

I've just discovered that pm's sent to me are not reaching me.

It's very hard to be patient with this. I just tried to contact the admin, any admin, and once again all inboxes are full, so I am out of luck.

I can deal with having a new account. But I do need to be able to get pm's! Why isn't it working, and what can I do to fix it? I suppose there's nothing I can do.

I need to be able to get private messages!! This so ticks-me-off!

Ah ... that explains why you haven't replied to me ... oh, I'm sorry, Raven ... How about the other way around? Can you PM to anyone?

I got your PM & sent a response to both Raven1 & Raven. Did you have another Raven#? If you can't get through to the Admin, I don't have a solution at the moment ... but I'll work on it.

I've gotten no pm at Raven1, and I can't access the original Raven. For a few minutes I did have a Raven8 account.

I just signed up and the registration told me that mariam is already being currently used by another member so i signed up as mariam3000. It was accepted and i was able to add an avatar cartoon but when i tried to add a personal photo or add some background info on who I am, it wouldn't allow me to do it. Now its back posting my username as Mariam? I'm not very computer literate and I am still learning but I think there is a glitch in the system.

I think there is a glitch, too. I did get one PM, but I would never know if I had not gotten others. But what I do know, is that I am not getting e-mails about new posts to different boards, at least sometimes.

I have had to re-register quite a few times in the past couple years. I just re-registerd again tonight for honestly like the forth time. Whenever I would log in before it would tell me my username was invalid or something and I would have to start all over again.

I was just able to PM the Admin and I asked about some of these problems ... if you're having a problem logging into an "old" / former screen name, now might be the time to PM the Admin again ...
