Hey All,
I have this little flip calender that has an inspirational thought for each day. I look at every morning about 6:30am before I take off for the day and it really helps me when I am feeling down.
I have collected sayings etc. from many sources and thought I would share some with all of you here once a day. Sometimes they will be amusing,informative,encouraging or inspirational. Sometimes it is just the thing to pick up your spirits !!


When you feel the urge to dance, do it.
When you find the will to sing, sing loudly.
When you catch a glimpse of glory, stand in awe.

That's a good idea! The sad/scared/lonely/guilty bug seems to have bitten a lot of people, including myself.

Thank you very much for the post ! The plan was for me to post one saying Mon-Fri and see how that goes. Times are tough and just about everyone I know could use a kind word or a giggle evry day. It's a scary world out there !!

Every morning after work I try to walk a mile or so ( I call it getting my nature for the day ) and I am lucky enough to live near a trail that goes past a lake and a small beach. However most of the time I just walk around my neighborhood and nod or wave to all that I pass by, not wanting to break my stride or get into a lengthy conversation. Today though one of my neigbors was out by the road pulling weeds, an elderly lady that I usually wave to. She looked lonely, so I stopped and asked how she was. Boy did her face light up !! We talked just a minute or two, but I believe it was enough to brighten her day a bit.

We shall never know all the good that a single smile can do.

I agree. I've been feeling pretty down lately, too. *big sigh* I could use some uplifting words.

Couldn't resist adding more today.

Take time to laugh and enjoy life.

This first saying means a lot to me because I have someone very close to me that is doing all they can to try to keep ahead these days and it is one problem after another. I have loaned cars and money and made a food box for them. All else I can do is tell them everything will work out and that I believe in them.

Thank you for your post ! To answer your question - some I do make up , some come from various sources such as the web , magazines, calenders, etc. Sometimes I edit them a bit sometimes not.
