Hey guys, Summerslam is 2 days away

But for now, it's time to take a look @ a man who has pioneered Summerslam

He is The Best There Is, The Best There Was and The Best That There Ever Will Be and he is The Excellence of Execution

He is "The Hitman" better known as Bret Hart

Bret Hart has appeared in 9 Summerslams and has a record of 6-4

Bret Hart is the only person to compete for 3 Traditional WWE Championships:

WWE World Tag Team Championship w/Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and Manager Jimmy Hart
WWE Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship
WWE Heavyweight Championship

In 1988 @ the very 1st Summerslam he and his real life Brother-in-Law Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart formed The Hart Foundation and they wrestled Demolition, but lost to them as Demolition retained the WWE World Tag Team Titles

In 1989, The Hart Foundation wrestled the Brain Busters Arn Anderson and Tuly Blachard (who were known as the 4 Horseman in the NWA) and lost again

In 1990 in a rematch from the very 1st Summerslam, The Hart Foundation were FINALLY able to defeat Demolition and became NEW WWE World Tag Team Champions for the 2nd time when they competed in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match

In 1991, with Jim Neidhart in WCW, Bret Hart competed in singles and in 1991 he won his 1st singles title in the WWE the WWE I-C Heavyweight Title when he defeated the late "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig

The following year in 1992 after Bret Hart def. Roddy Piper for the I-C Gold @ Wrestlemania VIII The Hitman would have a title defense @ Summerslam, only this time in front of the largest audience in Summerslam History over 80,000 fans @ Wembley Stadium in Manchester, England against The British Bulldog

It was the biggest and most talked about match in Summerslam History and in the history of the I-C Gold and it was also the biggest match in the careers of Bret and Davey Boy @ the end, THe British Bulldog def. The Hitman and it was Davey Boy's only reign as I-C Champ, and @ the end, Bret Hart and The Bulldog would shake hands and Bret's Sister and Davey's Widow Diana Hart Smith came in to celebrate and it was also the 1st time that the Intecontinental Title was defended in a Main Event @ a Summerslam PPV

In 1993, Bret Hart would defeat Doink, but then after the match, he would face Jerry "The King" Lawler, but he was Disqualified

In 1994, just 5 months after defeating Yokozuna for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Bret would have ANOTHER match that will go down as one of THE best Cage Matches in WWE history, when he defeated his late brother Owen to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

After the match, however, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, who was watching the match in the crowd with the rest of the Hart family, stormed the ringside area and threw Bret back into the cage. He then locked the door and, along with Owen laid into his former partner, delivering a vicious beating. Davey Boy Smith, along with the other Hart brothers, scaled the cage and come to the rescue of Bret, who left SummerSlam with his WWE World Heavyweight Championship still intact.

In 1995, Bret “Hit Man” Hart defeated Isaac Yankem via Disqualification

In 1997, Bret's last Summerslam was when he defeated The Undertaker to regain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the 5th and final time w/Shawn Michaels as the Special Guest Referee

It's been 11 years since Bret Hart has wrestled @ Summerslam, but his legacy lives on for years to come.
