I would love to see a JAG reunion. I think JAG was a great show and taught me a lot about the navy, the law and also it was great to watch David James Elliot in uniform. I always wanted to see Harm and MAC get together. I bought the complete series: from dvdtvworld.com and it turned out to be a hoax. Most of the discs were scratched or unreadable. I have e-mailed and called the co. several!!!!!! times with no return answer. This suposed co. no longer exists. Has anyone else used the other co's claiming to sell the complete series with good results. I love the show so much that I may risk it again but would like to know of anyone else that has had success. Please reply if you have, and thank-ypu. Wou;d also like to see the re-runs on in the evening instead of early am because that time is almost impossible for me to watch. I am getting my son off to school` etc. Anyone agree???
Thanks,

I don't know about a reunion... it seems that reunions are often a disappointment. I've seen offers for the complete series, but I suspect that they are not "official". As hard as it is I am waiting for the offical JAG releases.

I bought JAG the complete series from tvworld.com and it was anything but official. Most of the disc's were scratched of unreadable so it was very disappointing. Tried to contact them several times and they just seemed to have disappeared. I have purchased the "official" releases and am up to season 6. Guess I will just have to wait for the rest as they become available. You are right when it comes to a "reunion". Sometimes it is best to leave things as are and remember the show as it was. Still enjoy the DVD's from season's 1-6 and will re-watch them every six months. Have only seen David-James Elliot in a couple of life-time movies and found those disappointing. I think he was best as "Harm" and like to remember him that way. Any suggestions on how to get series re-runs moved to a different time or is that nearly impossible? My DVD recorder is not working, may have to get a new one. Thank you for your reply and hope to hear from you soon. IluvJAG

I think we would all love to see a JAG Reunion, but I doubt that it would ever happen. Catherine Bell is having a great deal of success with her new show "Army Wives" which is very popular, and she is very well liked by everyone and is carving out such a nice life for herself both as an actress with new projects and a mom, that I don't think right now she would want to do it, because she doesn't have time. She has really done well for herself post JAG ,and good for her, because she is such a talented woman. DJE, I think would have no interest in doing it either, as I think he would like to be known for other roles besides Harm as he gets along. There are many great story lines for a JAG Reunion but I don't think it is "in the Cards" -that's an inside joke for NINJA GIRL.
I have mentioned this before, but next to JAG, my all time favorite show was "Hawaii Five-O", and for years after it ended, I prayed that there would be a reunion, or more likely a feature film starting the franchise all over again, but it never happened after years of hearing a movie was in the works. Sometimes great shows like JAG just have to live on in our memories, reminding us how much they allowed us to enjoy our lives and what they brought to it. I accepted it with Hawaii Five-O, and now probably with JAG. We may never see it again.

I love Jag. I watch it every morning. Please take off Law and Order! Put Jag on instead! I would love to see a Jag renunion but I would love to see the series come back. Start where it left off but be sure you have the same people in it. It would be the most watched show on TV! Please keep showing Jag in the morning.

I would only buy DVD Seasons released from the studio. If the ones that say "Region Free" are offered anywhere, they are illegal copies.
November 4, 2008 is the set release date for Season 7. Seasons 1-7 pack is about $200 on pre-order from DVD.com.
I will wait for 11/4 to see if Amazon will have a lower price.

I would absolutely LOVE to see a JAG reunion - as a follow up on the Series Finale!!! I have been an AVID JAG fan since 1996... I admit I didn't originally watch the show when it first came out, but I watched all the other seasons when they originally aired and I was definitely HOOKED, especially since I am a female Marine Corps Veteran, and it was refreshing to see a female Marine on television... but it was wonderful to see David James Elliot as well... he looked HOT in those Navy dress whites!!!! I own seasons 1 thru 5 on DVD... and I would recommend buying them when the studio releases them to the stores - like Best Buy or Wal-Mart or some major store.... I wouldn't trust ordering that kind of thing on some web site - you more than likely lost your $$$ - whomever tried getting the shows that way. I was sad when Admiral Chegwidden retired and was disappointed that they lost touch with "GySgt Victor Galindez" - (that's the abbreviation of Gunnery Sergeant - "Gunny" - to all you civilians out there!). He was awesome as well!
It would be great to find out who won the coin toss, and to actually see Harm and Mac's wedding, and to have the Admiral, Gunny, Kate, and Meg to all attend! How cool would that be???????
SEMPER FI!

I would also love to see a reunion, with all the regular cast members. Gunny and Tiner were always so funny when they were competing with each other for something! And Harm's brother, Sergei, too! He'd have to be there! As far as the time, it should definitely be on later in the day. I'm not a morning person, and I have to work in the mornings occasionally, too!

When my work schedule changed recently, I began watching JAG again. (BTW, whatever happened to the plans to run it in the evenings on the Hallmark Channel?) I had forgotten how well written, produced, and acted JAG had been and how much I missed the characters. When they suspended the broadcasts during the Olympics and since, I began to imagine where the characters are now and what a reunion/update movie could include.
As other JAG fanatics know, the series ended in 2005 in the middle of a coin toss to see whether Harm or Mac would leave the military to be with the other. As the coin comes down, Harm grabs it in mid-air, turns to Mac, and says: “It’s San Diego, Sarah. Third times the charm.” (Referring, of course, to the previous two times he left JAG.)
It is now 2008. Mac has excelled in her assignment. Harm is a test pilot for a major defense contractor. He practices law occasionally when a case is particularly compelling and there are no conflicts of interests. They have continued to red team each others’ cases. However, now there is a corresponding outlet for the sexual tension those critiques have represented in the past. Hence Sarah’s pregnancy, which raises specters of the old issues. Should Mac give up her career to be a full-time mother? Should Harm quit because the job is too dangerous to risk repeating history and have his own child(ren) grow up without a father?
What other members of Harm’s and Sarah’s families can we now meet occasioned by the birth(s)?
Keeping with the standard to have two legal cases in each JAG episode:
1. P.O. Jennifer Coates is charged with conspiracy to commit murder. (Remember the gun she disposed of?) Harm defends her.
2. Thomas Magnum is now in command of his own ship. (Yes, THAT Magnum from another Donald P. Bellisario hit series.) The ship has been plagued by a series of incidents. Is it incompetence? Sabotage? Murder?
So, what do you all think? Too clichéd? Too much/little for a two-hour reunion special?

Hey, it sounds pretty good to me! And the Magnum part, he WAS in the Navy before becoming a PI, so he could have been called back in, with the troubles in the world today. It's happened on JAG before, when they called Bud's dad back in.

Exactly. In the Magnum PI series finale, he returned to the navy. His friends even commented that if he had stayed in, then he would have had his own ship by then. So, it's not all that original on my part. Just too much time spent watching TV and an obsession with details . . .

I bought from Amazon.com and have 1-6. I am enjoying them slowly like a fine wine. Waiting for series 7 to come out. USA plays games with JAG - my time is 7am. It was 2 episodes a day, but cut back to one. Not on every week.

I think a reunion would be great. I really enjoyed the show.
The only real problem that I had with the show was that the Chiefs, Senior Chiefs (me) and Master Chiefs seemed to always be represented as poor examples to all of the younger sailors. I may be biased as a retired Senior Chief, but every Chief I ever worked with was a prime example of what the younger guys wanted to be.
I know the show was about officers as the major focus, but I feel like they threw my peers under the bus. A reunion show would be a perfect vehicle to make up for some of the slights over the years.
Maybe the members here should put their heads together and come up with some quality input for the reunion show.
It would be good if all surviving members of the cast made an appearance. I really liked John M. Jackson as the Admiral, he reminded me of a three star I worked with only Jackson didn't seem to be as loose as the guy I worked for.

Master Chief helped Harm solve dispersing theft in "Empty Quiver"
Senior Chief De Fina demonstrated courage against false accusations, good judgment against deceptive wife, and accepted a new calling to help others in "Hard Time"
Was it a retired Chief trying to return to active duty, who poked Big Bud's conscience in "Heart of Darkness"? Eventually, Big Bud decided to be patriotic.

Not all of the Chiefs were deadbeats in the show, but more were portrayed as less than competent in the show. Even "Big Bud" was brought up on charges for activities that were not the normal situation for a Master Chief. There were some times the Chief was the culprit .
I may be a little biased as an actual Senior Chief, but I got to serve with some pretty highly respected Chiefs, Senior Chiefs and Master Chiefs ... people like that were my Mentors and I aspired to be like them, based on my fitreps over the 21 years that I was a Chief or Senior Chief they were pretty successful.
I'm a member of a Chiefs bulletin board. I'll pose a question to them and find out what they feel. Maybe I'm a little too critical.
Regardless of how I felt about the way I felt Chiefs were treated in the show, I still watch it every morning on USA and whenever I'm near a TV and it's on.

If Donald Bellasario decides to do a reunion then it will get done. I would really like to see it happen. I thought that the ending left me and apparently too many others hanging after waiting for Harm and Mac to get together for 8 years. I know they can come up with a great story line and look forward to it happening soon. There is so much crap on TV now that bringing JAG back would be such an improvement. 7AM is Ok, nice way to ease into the day, but I would like a PM show as well.

A good example is today's offering on USA, "Close Quarters". Ossie Davis' character actually endured unfair times, but realized that it was the norm, due to the conditioning of people of that day. Thankful for the risk of progress taken by some in the USNavy and the underlying sacrifice of America's founding fathers, he related maturely with Harm, Mac, and AJ. We feel the love. The Korean-American officer, burdened by an unjustly disabled father and mired in bigotry, only added to Sturgis' burdens. Fans of writer Dana Coen can see his cameo in "Adrift (1)".

You're almost right. Master Chief
(E-9) is the highest enlisted rank a person can reach in the US Navy and Coast Guard but, the lesser known rank of Chief Warrant Officer
(W-5) is the highest rank a person can achieve before becoming a commissioned officer.
I love JAG but I have had some issues with some of the technical aspects of the show. For the most part, uniforms and military etiquette have been right but there have been instances where they were wrong. Don't know the name of the episodes but every time they go out to a submarine, I cringe at that thought. Yes, you can transport to a sub by helicopter but JAG made it look like it was done every day as SOP. Also, everybody on board would be wearing "poopy" suits from the skipper on down not just the enlisted guys. Also, everybody's uniform is just too clean even on board ship. I also have a problem with the names of ships/subs that they came up with on the show. The USS Seahawk? No such carrier ever existed yet from the shows footage, the USS Forrestal (CV 59), USS Enterprise (CVN 65) and the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) were all once the USS Seahawk.
BTW, I spent 6 years in the US Navy's submarine force and my dad is a retired US Navy Senior Chief.

I would love to see a JAG reunion also. I never got into the series until it was on cable. But I want to know how Mac and Harm are doing with thier wedding plans, if you remember the last show, they flipped a coin to see who was going to continue thier military career. And of course to see how everyone else turned out. Like Admiral Chedwiggen, Sturgess, Bud, Mikey (see where he's at in his Navy career). Just to see how things turned out. I am on my 2nd go around with the series, and I'm still hooked.

spent over 20 yrs in the US Army. Although I agree, there were times when I questioned some of the ships names, looked at the uniforms and wondered about ribbons etc. But it was one of the few shows that the Navy and Marines gave it's approval. I do ask some of my friends who were in the navy about certain things on certain episodes. But hey, it's TV so you sometimes you have to expect those kind of things. I do laugh how it seems so "easy" to get aboard a ship via the helicopter

Count me in as one more vote for a reunion. Would make a GREAT movie and answer a lot of questions.
Look what happened to Star Trek. Series ended, movie released, more movies released, spin offs, etc.
Wouldn't it be something to see it all reborn?
Now, when I become King . . . LOL
