Most of you probably already know this, but I got confirmation from seeing Michael Shanks at a fan Stargate-SG1 panel at ComicCon in San Diego, just a couple of weeks ago.

Mr. Shanks will be making a guest appearence in upcoming episodes this season, playing another 'burned' agent. It is reported he will be in a four episode arc starting with ep #6.

Speaking for those SG cross-over fans, I think it will be fun to see him join the cast.

I haven't seen SG-1, or 24 (I just looked up Michael Shanks on the IMDB, I see he was in a few episodes of 24 in 2007). I think he's really cute in his pictures! It'll be interesting to see how Michael does working with this other burned spy (actually, the idea of this really intrigues me - that there very well could be other burned spies living throughout a large city like Miami). It should make for a great story arc!

It will be interesting to see Michael Westen interact with someone other than Sam, Fi, Mom, Nate and the clients. Not sure how Mikey will like it however since he is bonded to his comfort level now. I thought Michael Shanks was Fi's new Boyfriend. Maybe, Maybe not.

Shanks had a brief, but interesting role, as a nefarious type in last season's 24, toward the end of that season.

I agree his addition should make for some great interplay with the other BN regulars. It will be great to see how he is dealt with and whether he turns out to be an ally or a foe??

While I really like Michael Shanks as an actor, I think his best genre is sci-fi. I am looking forward, however, to seeing him on BN.

I'll tell you who would fit on BN: D.B. Sweeney. He was great in the series Jericho as John Goetz, the military contractor. Great presence in roles like military, spies, etc.

Oh yeah - I'm a fan of both SG-1 and Burn Notice. When I heard that Michael Shanks was going to be on BN, I got excited. Then I heard he had a 4 -episode arc and I got REALLY excited! I can't wait to see him and Jeffrey Donovan together.

Sadly I have to raise hand slowly and say ::whimper:: "sorry, haven't seen it before." (I tend to be a little bad at catching shows when they air... you should see my 'TV shows on DVD' collection!)

However, having heard Michael was appearing in the series I immediately went and bought season 1 on DVD (::looks sadly at shelf space and wonders if building a DVD library in the home is plausible:: *g* - just how important is a dining room? *g* ) and am waiting with baited breath to see the eps Michael is in.

Would so love to see him permanently on a series like this. Much as I love his SG-1 character, I love seeing him in other roles... particularly as a bad guy. He plays bad so goood. *g*

Hi Cats!! I gotta say, my pal Cats had been trying to convince me to watch Burn Notice but I wasn't interested, despite the fact that I love Bruce "God" Campbell. But as soon as I found out that Michael Shanks was going to be guest starring (I'm a huge fan of his) I decided to catch up on season 1. And hooooboy! I'm so glad I did I came for Michael Shanks but I'm staying for Jeffrey Donovan. Now I'll get to watch two hot hunks on the screen. *fans self*

P.S. On a less shallow note I do think we're in for a VERY interesting time as both MS & JD are very intense actors. I can't wait!

I hadn't seen the show before but started watching it when I heard Michael was going to be on it so I'd know what was going on. I can hardly wait. It will wonderful to see him as something other than an archaeologist and in something that's not Sci Fi!

Seriously, though, yes, it'll be great to see them together. I only know Donovan's work from the far-too-brief "Touching Evil" (I only knew about that one as I'd seen the original UK production with Robson Green) but from what I've seen, the two of them on the screen should be pretty dynamic! Roll on next week!

See? Didn't I tell you that Burn Notice was fabulous fun? That Jeffrey Donovan is intense and sexy? That Fiona is wicked fun? And that Bruce Campbell is a hooooooot as loveable Sam? Hmmm...come to think of it, you doubted me about Firefly at first too and you know you love that show now.

I really need to get the season 1 DVD's of BN and it's for DARN sure that I'll be getting season 2 since Michael Shanks will be in not one but FOUR eps! I can't wait to see his character sparring with Michael Westin. Hey! Maybe they'll BOTH take off their shirts!!

I really loved TE when it was on. It was definitely must see TV, so very compelling to watch Jeffrey Donovan. Hmmm...wonder if there is a DVD set out for that? Not likely since it was just the one short season.

As soon as I saw the first commercial for BN, I recognized Jeffrey and knew that I had to check the show out. So very glad I did. Been an avid viewer from the first moments.

And now, the icing in the tasty cake is Michael Shanks coming to play!

I don't think they ever released TE on DVD... though I did manage to score a couple of the Emmy disks back in the day. I think I still have one.

I actually caught an ad for BN last night, so I need to check out which season we're currently playing here, and which ep we're up to. I might just have to fire up the HD recorder until the DVDs arrive!

I doubt we're up to date, so you'll have to let me know what the ep is like next week. :-)

I was there! And was really surprised to hear such a cheer go up. I had no idea BN was such a popular show; I don't really watch TV much-- Supernatural, CSI, NCIS --so hadn't heard about BN other than seeing bits about it in the TV Guide.

Have been an SG-1/Michael Shanks fan for a while now, and it's how I met my best friend Tara. Well Tara, being the awesome tv watching person that she is, got into Burn Notice right away and was telling me how great it was. At first, I felt I just didn't want to get into ANOTHER tv show... but after catching a few episodes, I realized it really was my type of show...


And I was considering really getting into it when I found out MS was gonna be on it (yay for MSOL, right?!) - and that sealed the deal! Went out and bought season 1... got caught up while watching the new S.2 episodes on USA... and now I'm hooked....


And seriously, I've never *squee'd* louder than I did last night when the preview for next week's episode came on!

I think it was pretty smart for the BN PTB to have Shanks come on board for a few episodes. To be blunt about it, Shanks has a knee jerk fan following (you can usually include me in that too) that will watch near anything he is in and give it at least one chance.

Hopefully TPTB won't have totally killed his character off at the end, and if the buzz and ratings for the 4 eps that Shanks are in are good, they'll bring him back. But not so much he can't do Rage of Angels.

Shanks will be a cool addition/geust! He's a little bland most of the time on SG1, hopefully he'll be a little more animated. And as a guy, I hope they give his wife a cameo! (Lexa Doig, from Andromeda and SG1's Doctor).

Didn't get into Burn Notice until the beginning of this season when I heard MS was gonna be making an appearance. Still can't get over how hot he is with the slight scruffle and sunglasses. *SIGH*

Hi there! Big fan of Stargate and Daniel Jackson here. I'm really looking forward to Michael Shanks play a completely different character. He was wonderfully creepy as the bad guy in Judicial Indiscretion and I hope we'll see that same kind of thing here.

That's a great idea about giving Lexa a cameo. (She was great as Rommie!) Last year, Michael and Lexa each guest starred on "Eureka" and their eps were filmed back to back. She starred one week in "Man-eater" and he starred the very next week in "All That Glitters". It would be cool if they could do something like that again.

Yep! In consecutive eps at the end of the second season. I think at one point the eps were available via I-Tunes for download.
