Belonging
by AmandaB

Summary: Goren didn't want to be reminded, but he was left with little choice. A post-Bedfellows one shot. This is the closest thing I'll get to a flash fic (112 words).

Disclaimer: L&O:CI doesn't belong to me.

Frank. That's what Bobby saw as he locked eyes with Jeffrey Copeland.

His own thoughts drifted back to his earlier words: "The thing about scapegoats is that sooner or later they get tired of getting things blamed on them." Bobby suddenly thought of his mother.

"Where's your brother, Bobby? He would make sure I was taken care of. Frank was going to be a scientist. Really make something with his life."

That's not the case, Bobby thought sadly. Frank never wanted to work for anything. But maybe he would change... Frank was just looking for meaning, something or someone to care about. Bobby could understand that, even if he didn't want to.

Very nice. I loved it. I can see the relation in the episode and Bobby's family. Great job.

AmandaB - I thought this fit perfect. I've always imagined from things Bobby has said that he has been Frank's scapegoat on more than one ocassion. A lot of his life experiences seem to present themselves to us in the workings of one case or another.

Thanks. I was trying to do a short introspection, since I can go on... wink.gif

Yes, I agree. I really saw the resemblance after I watched Untethered, and I've been wanting to try something like this for a while. I always like trying writing something new, and after my last fluffy piece (Everything), I wanted to try something on the other side of the spectrum.
